Apologies for the delay in reviewing! Absolutely brilliant breakfast; delicious, fresh, served hot, fantastic staff and very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend and we'll definitely be back next time we are in St. Ives

Was in St Ives for the day, and we decided to pop in for lunch! There was 5 of us and a baby! We all had had food and drinks I had the halloumi wrap and it was excellent with lots of flavour and filling! Would definitely recommend for anyone who is in St Ives for the day!

Fantastic breakfast, great value and very friendly welcome. It was great to have a doorstep of real bread with the meal instead of the usual sliced loaf bread. 😀

They was very busy with deliveries. But the women serving informed us straight away and it was worth the 15min wait. Food was excellent and well worth the price.

Came upon this amazing little cafe by pure chance, the fantastic smell of cooking bacon enticed us inside. Such a quaint little place. Immaculately clean, welcomed with a warm smile and friendly lady. The food was freshly cooked and amazing quality, the taste was superb, well worth the wait which was not very long at all. People coming in and out all the time for “take out breakfasts” and also locals coming in for their breakfast. Well worth the visit everyone if you want value for money and quality food.

Called in for lunch and so glad we did. Honest well cooked food served by really friendly owners. Large and fresh portions. Excellent range of jackets, omelettes, all day breakfast etc. Very willing to cook any combination of food on the menu. Cannot rate them highly enough (plus good luck to Eva with her GCSE's "!!)

Best coffee in St Ives. And great takeaway burgers. Friendly service and good value, so worth finding slightly off the main beaten track.

Having completed the guided tour of Doc Martin territory with local guide David, we were directed to this amazing café which is run by locals (and they are few and far between). We arrive shortly before the last orders of the day. We enjoyed our homemade food and drink selections. Loved the amazing décor of this place and it's gallery shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

We went to 4 breakfast places in St Ives, this was the cheapest and the best! Very chilled out cafe with lovely staff and a really good breakfast. A bit of a hidden gem really. Feels as though only the locals know about it :)

This little gem of a cafe is just off the Main Street offering great food with a very friendly service. We found this cafe on our first day and returned several times. Would highly recommend.

I visited Chapels Café for Breakfast on the Tuesday and the food was so fabulous I returned on my last morning before leaving St.Ives! The Large Breakfast was tasty,piping hot + great value for money with toast on the side. The Lady serving was friendly + happy and the café is spotlessly clean. Well worth visiting.

This cafe is an absolute gem and excellent value for money. The food is freshly cooked using local produce and is absolutely tasty. The portion’s are generous and presented beautifully. Breakfast and Lunch are offered, with a fantastic selection. To make it even better it’s family owned & ran. The owners are so friendly & welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend a visit.

Happy and friendly service; delicious food prepared to order with lovely fresh produce. Small, but bright and spotlessly clean with complimentary condiments. Great value for money. A gem of a find ! Open from 9am until 3pm Mon - Fri. Highly recommended !

Very friendly staff and welcoming cafe. Good spot for a fry up or bacon butty this was recommended to me by a local and it was a good find.

Came across this lovely little cafe while on a recent trip to St Ives. Very basic decor, very much a traditional British side street cafe, but the service and the food are the best of its kind that you will find in St Ives. The all day breakfast is generous and delicious. The burgers are pretty awesome too. The service is friendly and welcoming. Will absolutely be calling in again the next time we are in St Ives. Heartily recommended.

Use Chapels pretty often for lunch as I live and work close by! Quick service but foods always freshly cooked. Very professional service and will continue to return weekly!

Hidden gem. so glad we stumbled across this place. Food was delicious, reasonably priced and plenty of choice. Went two days in a row for breakfast. Served by the loveliest young girls who were helping their parents out over the summer holidays, very polite and helpful. A credit to their parents. We will definitely come back when in the area. Down to earth grub with a very friendly service. If you are looking for ‘food’ this is the place. It’s not a coffee and cake place, but great for all day breakfast and proper grub. I saw lots of locals pop in for orders while I was there, which speaks volumes to me. Five star food hygiene rating as well

Had great family lunch at this cafe, where the food was homemade & delicious and the prices really fair - esp given the St Ives location. Really nice friendly people also - charming place. 100% recommend

This little cafe is a hidden gem and i would definately recommend visiting. We called for a breakfast which wasn’t greasy but amazing.

Absolutely the best breakfast in St ives. Since arriving in St Ives we have been here everyday. Perfectly cooked and very good value. Always a warm welcome, not the usual cheap rubbish sausage you get but delicious and we love the way the bacon is cooked on a griddle. Also well recommended for Vegans.

what can I say, great atmosphere friendly service, breakfast to die for and not an ounce of fat to be seen anywhere. Following government guidelines with hand sanitizer track and trace etc. Thank you.

Tourist places in Cornwall often lack good value eateries that don't involve a Corniah pasty. This eatery in the back streets of St Ives is an exception. Away from the crowds around the harbour, this place does your usual light lunch favourites and well as breakfasts. I had the cheese and onion toastie while my partner had the halloumi wrap. All really fresh ingredients and good value for money. Lots of locals in when we called by. The woman who runs the place is super efficient, managing takeaways and eat in customers seamlessly all while explaining C-19 procedures and giving the wifi code all while remaining super upbeat and friendly. A great find.

This is the best place for breakfast in St Ives. On a return visit found they are just as good for lunch! Fabulous food very friendly and spotlessly clean. It’s on Chapel Street so a bit off the main track but well worth searching out. You won’t be disappointed!

Come to St Ives every year and visit Chapels at least twice each time. Always good. Always make you feel welcome. Big portions of tasty food and great options for vegetarians

I just went to this cafe for a veggie breakfest bap and it was the best veggie bap i have ever had from a cafe, it's like the ones I make for myself at home. Huge, quality of ingredients was great and the price was amazing!! I will be getting my breakfast or lunch here again very soon! I didnt take a photo because I eat it so quick!

Myself and my boyfriend popped in this morning to grab some breakfast. I have a peanut allergy, but this was not an issue. We were instantly read an allergen list from the welcoming and friendly lady at the front. Food was cooked to perfection (even in Takeaway boxes as per the Lockdown rules) I had a 'small' breakfast but as you can see by the photo it was huge! Very happy and grateful, will definitely come again! Thank you.

We have been coming to st ives for years now and this is a hidden gem Tucked away it has a lot of locals popping in for their food and who can blame them Lovley fresh food prepared in an open kitchen - James is a great cook and I have had many a nice bacon buttie or even better mushroom and cheese omelette which sets me up for the day! And priced at £5 is amazing for st ives Thier coffees and hot choc drinks are superb and I always pay using my saved up coins which the lovley lady always kindly accepts Got to know the owners now and always discuss how the kids swimming is going - they seem lovley people A great cafe well recommended

St Ives in the rain isn't really a welcoming place, but this little cafe will give you the warmest of welcomes. Friendly staff and a good menu to choose from, the coffee was good and the breakfast was fantastic! You know when you get a hash brown with your breakfast and all you can taste is the oil it's been cooked in? Well, not here, that's for sure. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the portion size was spot on. It's a small place, only 4 tables and some stools in the window, but don't let the size put you off. Everyone seems to be greeted like a friend. Sure, there are flashier places in St Ives, but Chapels hits all the right buttons for a refuelling pit stop.

After 4 days of expensive, fancy breakfasts we tried Chapels. Lovely conventional full english, served quickly and very tasty.Went back the following day for breakfast and also had sandwiches to take away.As we had mentioned we were going on a day trip the owner wrapped the sandwiches in foil to keep them fresh.This little touch just exemplified the fabulous service we received in Chapels.Value for money which always helps but the main thing was the lovely food and friendly service

Lovely breakfast and service in a small little cafe, tucked away in a quiet part of st ives. We had an “expensive” breakfast in another cafe in January (not too far away)! Not a patch on this one.

After reading the wonderful reviews of this we decided to track it down. Not an easy task in St Ives. Found it and it was closed! So frustrating as we were looking forward to lunch at this wonderful sounding cafe. You need to put your opening hours on TripAdvisor!

This is a little gem of a place . I have had breakfast here a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is lovely and good value and the staff are freindly.

Dropped in for breakfast. Had the full English. Bacon sausage eggs plus coffee. All cooked to perfection. Cafe ++++

Just a little back street greasy spoon? Breakfast was spot on, quality ingredients, perfect service. The rest of the menu looked great ! Might pop back again! Price, very reasonable indeed.

apart from being small and no sea views this as got to be by far the best all round place to eat in Cornwall..good prices and freshly cooked. no grease & a lovely local warm friendly atmosphere. the service great..the burgers for example are made from fresh..it's a fraction of the price of some of the top restaurants but with some of the same standards but no frills..this place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..good food at a great price

My husband and I visited St Ives for first time today and loved it. However, looking for somewhere for a light lunch were not surprised to see an abundance of what looked lovely food but pretty expensive. We walked further up the narrow streets and found Chapels which was exactly what we were looking for. Good hearty British food at an excellent price. Both ordered omelette. Was great as did not have to make a meal of it with chips etc. which we did not want. Opted for a cheese and bacon and a chicken and bacon one. I was happy when told just salad garnish. My husband declined as not a lover of 'rabbit crunch' as he describes it. The waitress immediately suggested he have instead either bread and butter, toast or baked beans so he went for the beans. The omelettes were delicious and absolutely full of meat. Will definitely return on our next trip to SI. Thank you.

La comida era increíble y tan buena relación calidad-precio! Se lo recomendaría a cualquiera, es bueno un gran menú con algo para todo el mundo, no es una elección de frituras o tostadas!

Detoured 200 miles so we could drop in for breakfast, well worth it.lovely place, nothing too much trouble, good varied menu.

Mi familia y yo fuimos a capillas buscando un lugar para un almuerzo rápido, el menú era genial con un montón de opciones. Nos quedamos muy impresionados con el servicio amable y la frescura de la comida. Las envolturas eran particularmente buenas! Poco después de salir de St Ives mi hijo se dio cuenta que se había dejado su juguete favorito coche detrás. Llamamos capillas que puso a nosotros en Surrey, lo cual fue muy amable de verdad. Prices reasonable, portions very generous. The fajita wrap I had was very tasty. Mrs enjoyed her ham salad and kids menu was varied and not the usual over processed stuff. Friendly service. Good find, recommended for a simple light meal.

This place as recommended by locals. A great find. Lovely owners and staff, good choice of breakfasts and very good looking sandwiches. The place was busy with clearly local people. I had a big bacon and mushroom bap, and a proper coffee for a little more than £4. Husband had a huge full English for a fiver. What's not to like? We would have paid more at macdonalds! Cheaper and just as good as the highly praised rivals across the road.

I quite often pop into Chapels for a brekkie, or a bap for my lunch, & I'm always met with a polite greeting. If the staff are busy with something they always acknowledge me & let me know they'll be right with me. The food is top notch & I would recommend the cafe to any local & visitors!

Just walking in the door we got a great smile and welcome. Service was first class and the food was excellent. Menu was adjusted to meet our requirements. Service was quick and as you can see the kitchen area you know the hygiene is excellent too. Your prices are so reasonable I was suprised when the food arrived at the quantity and quality.We will certainly be back again, thank you for our lovely meal. Well done.
