West Beach Bakery in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We visited twice and voted it our best beach vibe in St Ives. Even after a long season the staff were great. We had greek food twice and it was delicious and very authentic. We were lucky to get there as Beach west was closing for the winter but definitely worth visiting in 2025!

What a great find. Only had ice-cream and cake, but delicious. Sadly weather meant we didn't eat but will next time

Great shawarma at a lovely beach side location

Wonderful beach cafe/restaurant. Currently serving the best ever pizzas, amazing greek food and a fish restaurant. Lovely atmosphere. Right on the beach. We have been twice this trip. First for lunch and second evening with friends. The vegetarian greek grill platter was amazing. Ginormous!!!!

The new Greek bar is very very tasty! I am a Greek cuisine lover and the dolmades, gigantes and tzatziki were all exactly what I have been hunting for a long time. Pair that with great views and a beach bar vibe and aesthetic sat out near the sand, and it’s almost perfect. The prices aren’t ridiculous given you are in St Ives, and the service was quick, chatty and nice. I cannot understate how nice the dolmades were though! Lemony and tangy on thick tzatziki, mmmmmm. The gyros and souvlaki were good (I had chicken) but nothing out of this world, worth a stop for though!

Full of yuppies bland pizza full of seagulls - overpriced

They're serving Greek food now, too. I tried the Chicken Souvlaki Wrap, and it was delicious. Friendly staff and a great, tucked away location overlooking the ocean. Fab.

Visited today. A slight hiccup with our order but quickly sorted by very friendly and helpful staff. Pizza was great as was the drinks. Will Definitely be back!!

I feel very lucky to teach yoga in such a beautiful place. The breakfasts at West are so lovely. The coffee is excellent breakfasts are tasty and the staff are super Not to mention the location One of st Ives' hidden gems

It had been a long time since we went to West and it did not disappoint. Great service from a very friendly and helpful staff. The views are beautiful as well and the location makes you feel you are outside Porthmeor which is great. Definitely worth a visit and we will try to make an effort in coming more often

This must be the coolest, most laid back cafe in Cornwall, and that view. It's a must visit place; bucket list!!!

Pizza good but not anymore. Staff and service weak, unmotivated, fake friendliness. Cocktail expensive and mediocre. Cappuchino in a cardboard cup doesn't work that bad.

Excellent and wonderfully located. Efficient and kind staff. I had great coffee and the most amazing breakfast burrito! Freshly made, elegant and tasty. I can only recommend this.

What a find this place is! Came for lunch after wandering around St. Ives and couldn't have been happier to have found it. The pizza was some of the best pizza I've had in England, highly recommend. Came back the next morning and got the breakfast burrito and a coffee, both of which were also awesome. Can't beat a walk to the beach ending with some food at West Beach Bakery.

I don't want to recommend this place too highly because I don't want it to get too busy when I'm around. It was the perfect spot to have a light lunch and beverage while reading a book. Popped in a couple of times, service was great as was the food and drink.

Awesome pizza, tacos, and cocktails. If your in st ives and the weather is good this is a do not miss place. Friendly team too. Also great place to watch the sunset on the beach.

Nice warm tea . Service was very quick and so friendly. The sun went behind the clouds but lovely place to catch best sunsets. Would love to practice yoga here ;)

Delicious coffee & very tasty Kat Jack (flapjack with chocolate, peanut butter, coconut). Favourite view of Porthmeor & The Island. Easy to spend a few hours relaxing here.

Tourist post: best pizza I've had in many years. Top staff, very helpful and the seating + overall setting on the beach front is magical. Decent local brews on draught. Honestly what's not to love about this place. Hidden gem would 1,000,000% recommend

Had a bloody wonderful time here. Good views, good vibes, good vino. (I actually drank cider but i imagine their wine collection is lovely). In seriousness, the staff are warm, friendly and funny; the food is delicious and comes in very generous serving sizes, and the drinks are great. Obviously the location is fabulous too. Book though because it is pretty busy at the moment!

Had two great pizzas here, one chorizo and one butternut squash. Had a Pimm's and a beer. Great service, great views. Perfect lunch meal!

We went to the fish bar, which is upstairs and (I think) requires a booking. Really excellent food and a gorgeous view. They have private cubicles and torches for warmth, though we swapped tables to a different part of the restaurant where dogs were allowed, as we brought a very sandy cocker spaniel along. All of the fish dishes were superb, and I had an excellent dark and stormy variation. However, the vegetarian ramen was described as 'tasteless'. Their menu changes regularly, so maybe this dish was an experiment? Everything else was perfect.

The breakfast here is incredible - in the scrambled tofu, West Beach Bakery provided one of the very few excellent vegan options for breakfast in the St. Ives area.

This place is a real find. Delectable food, comfortable seats with heaters when it's cold, friendly service. The zupetta with mussels, hake and aoli with a side of chips was just the ticket on a slightly chilly September day.

Very good,service food delicious Staff friendly and kind , practice of social distancing,. Very very good the Crab sandwich delicious. Will definitely visit again I recommend this place.

Brilliant place to eat and drink and watch the sea. Pizza best ever. A special mention too Gareth, the supervisor, his attention to customers was faultless. Can't praise this place enough, all our family call it 'West is Best'.

Lovely food in a stunning setting

A simply amazing pizza for lunch enjoyed with terrific beach side table. It looks like a 1970’s concrete beach bunker from afar but it’s superbly done. It’s way to cool for me and that’s the highest praise it needs. Kids had a great meal too. The sweet potato skinny fries are awesome!

Great pizza in a wonderful location

Pitch up early evening and grab a table to enjoy a thin sourdough base pizza with a great range of toppings. Watch the sunset as you eat and drink. Good atmosphere, popular with locals and tourists. You need to order and pre pay at the counter and don't forget your table number.

Someone was a little short with me for asking to order lunch 10 minutes before your should but the food was great and nice views, even when it's cold you can snuggle in.
