The best restaurants in Probus Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Such a great village pub - good food and drinks, but mostly it’s the people. We organised a group function one afternoon in November and it was perfect - enormous amounts of tasty food, great atmosphere, lovely staff. Thanks especially to Caz.

Called in for a feed and a coldy but unfortunately they no longer serve food. Pity.

First visit to The Falmouth Arms for over 28 years and hasn’t it changed. Fantastic food and friendly service at a reasonable price. Really enjoyed our visit and looking forward to returning.

We planned lunch as a group of 11 here and weren’t disappointed. Pre orders were well managed and the pub ready for us on arrival. Excellent food, with good sized portions. The group loved the fish & chip Friday which was great value. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It's a spring woodland garden, so if you want to see a variety of plants at other times of year, this might not be for you, I doubt there would be anything much in the past April. My big concern is that it lacks essential signs, and there are no staff around to ask directions. We got lost more than once but were totally lost at Eagle pond and walked much longer than intended trying to backtrack, we weren't the only ones, a group were following us hoping we knew the way back 🤦‍♀️. There are no maps available but I was told to take a picture of one at the entrance and use that to navigate but it was then too small to be a great deal of use on a phone in full sun and I'd dispute that it was even accurate! I'd need a compass for the sign that said go southwest but it wasn't my first thought on what to bring with me 🙄. The main areas are gravel paths, but further out, the pathways are rough and unsuitable unless you're sure footed. The café is OK but overpriced and lacks choice, no sandwiches on offer at all, but you can get sausage rolls (very expensive with soggy bottom pastry), soup, pasties and a few cakes. If you have a dog and just want somewhere to walk, I guess it's OK. Just take a picnic. I personally wouldn't come back as it just isn't interesting enough.

It was a tad bit chilly in the pub at first, but the wood burning fire was most welcoming after a long day of hiking. The food, staff, and beer were just what I needed tonight! Thank you!

Good old quality pub, recently taken over aswell

Called in here when visiting the garden and enjoyed our platters so much we called in again, just for lunch. There is not a massive range of dishes but what there was was good

Been here three times and been been excellent every time. Nicely kept beer + brilliant freshly cooked food + fast attentive service. Best around here.

So i do not venture out when it comes to food ! Couldnt be bothered to go miles so went to my local !! Lets start Had chicken satay skewers , unfortunately not to my taste as they were fried and not in sauce ! Battered mini spring rolls (banging with bbq sauce ) Chicken in black bean - full of flavour chicken was perfect , nothing worse than hard chicken !! Was so tender and juicy , sauce great consistency plenty of it ! Chicken in satay same as above ! Chips nicely salted Bbq sauce nice and thick lots of flavour ! I would of gave it 5 but unfortunately the skewers werent for me ! Good quality food for a good price !! Young lady server was very friendly too !! I imagine it would be pleasant eating in

No atmosphere at all. My wife had a fly in her meal. Put us right off. Front doors left open, so flies were coming in. Service poor.
