Easy parking at Village Hall behind. Clean, modern. Butter chicken has just a little bite, not bland. Extensive menu. Good service. Good value. We also had Alief Special, with ginger and coconut; also very tasty. Generous portions. Go!!

Absolutely great food, we all had something different and everything was so go! The staff where really helpful and friendly and we will be heading back in the new year 😊

Very large restaurant and very empty -one other couple. However, we did go pretty early (around 6 ish). Warm welcome from staff. The food was good - we both had tandoori chicken which could have had a little more flavour but it was still good. The couple seated at next table were raving about their Rogan Josh so perhaps curries are best to eat here. The take away side of things was very busy so it must be popular with locals. Would go back.

We were staying nearby for a couple of nights and had an early evening meal at the Tandoori Spice. We hadn't booked but as we entered we were very warmly welcomed and we instantly felt at home. The service was good, not at all intrusive, and the food was excellent. That afternoon we had attended the inquest of a close family member (the reason for our stay near Truro) and it was a real pick-me-up to have such a friendly reception.

Excellent service and food. I visited the Restuarant with a group of friends in September. Very friendly service. We ordered a range of food and everyone was very happy. I've tried the takeaway this evening, again the food was great. I particularly enjoyed the chicken vindaloo. Thank you, very pleased to have such a good indian close by!

We was very delighted to finally try this Indian tonight, we haven't had a takeaway properly in a few years, my dearest mum treated us to this Indian this evening and oh wow, totally delicious! Cannot fault the service and the quality of the food, full of flavour. 10/10 highly recommend. Lovely Friendly staff. The lady on the phone this evening was so lovely, she is a credit to the Tandoori. 😁

Had a xmas meal here on the 4th dec 2021 at very short notice Well what can i say apart from fantastic the food was brilliant the atmosphere was brilliant the 2 ladys where amazing and couldn't do enough for us all due to being a big group we pre ordered our food the chefs got it all spot on i can not fault it one bit the manager was great deffo will be going back thank you for having us all fantastic

Booked table Friday 8pm for a quick, easy meal as we were driving back to Reading early next day. Bit of a bland cafe interior. Our order was taken quickly, we chose starters to arrive with mains for speed. Food arrived an astonishing 75 minutes later! It was quite mediocre: tandoori chicken underdone, lamb balti watery and thin, oily naans etc. They seemed far more focussed on dealing with takeaway collections than the 2 tables in the restaurant itself. No one paid any attention to us.

We visited last night for my dads birthday, 14 of us. Absolutely fantastic! The best Indian food I have eaten in a long long time. The food was tasty, the sauces the curry was cooked in were thick not running like other restaurants can be. King prawns were succulent, portion sizes were spot on. Service first class, amazing really as we were a large group with others in the restaurant and also takeaways were busy, but this did not effect the quality of service. Really nice touch the chef came out to check all was ok. I would highly recommend this restaurant, we will be back! Thank you

Welcoming and friendly staff, nothing too much bother. Food was wonderful, fresh and tasty and plenty of it, took some home in a doggy bag. Would highly recomment

Last Saturday we had a meal in this restaurant. We were initially seated in a holding area where we were asked what we would like to drink and if we would like poppadums. These were ready for us when we got to the table so that we could enjoy them whilst perusing the menu - always a good sign. The choice of food was extensive, though a greater vegetarian choice would be an improvement. The taste and quality of food was outstanding. Our waiter was friendly and very attentive. If we were ever in the area again, we would definitely return.

We had a takeaway from here on Friday evening, our food tasted fresh and there was plenty. We had four curry dishes,2 rice,chips and a sag aloo, the portions were that plenty full I couldn’t eat all of mine even though I was sharing a rice and sag aloo with my husband. My boys eat all of there’s so it was nice to see clean plates. I would definitely recommend a take away from here as it really is worth the wait due to being busy.

Had our first Indian Food Take Away this evening. The food and service were excellent. Well done and thank you. We will be ordering again soon.

Food is absolutely excellent it really is first class. However the service is third rate, closed when it should be open, slow to answer the phone. If the owners had someone on the ball in charge of taking orders it would transform the business

We have used Tandoori spice for the last few years and have always enjoyed the food and service. We treated ourselves to a takeaway last night at the end of a long week. The two chicken dishes had no flavour what so ever & little meat. We were also given a small side salad in a plastic bag and a pot of pale looking sauce - I can only imagine these were for the pompadoms we didnt order?? The compost heap had the salad and the sauce ended up in the bin. I rang Tandoori Spice this evening. They apologised but offered nothing in the way of recompense. The meal cost just under £30 for the two of us and we travel a good few miles to collect when there are nearer takeaways to us. We were left very disappointed and will now seek out one of those takeaways closer to us.

Decided to order a takeaway for myself and a few friends and it was fantastic I did have to wait a little while due to how popular they are but I was apologised to several times by the wonderful front of house staff and was offered a drink whilst I waited and fully understood how busy they were and it was well worth the short wait! My friends also thoroughly enjoyed their meals and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommend! Great food! Great staff! Great service!

We made a trip to Probus with the purpose of ordering a takeaway, whilst having a drink at the pub next door. We phoned our order in from the pub around 6.45 and were asked when we would like the food so we suggested 30mins time. The person hesitated so we agreed 45mins. We were phoned back within 5 mins and told it would be one hour so we settled in and ordered another drink. At 7.45 i went to collect. At 8.30 I received our food. (This was not due to participation in eat out to help out - as they do not - they were just moderately busy)Most of the food was very nice as we had found from previous experience. The onion bhajis were perfect as was the chicken chilli masalla. The lamb passanda was not good. The slices of meat were tough and the sauce runny. However overall the food was good. Would I have ordered knowing we were going to wait 1hr 45mins. No.

This takeaway treat was disappointing. It cost a lot of money for 4 meals, and there was little to eat. The dishes were tasty, but had very little meat in a portion. The pot was filled mainly with sauce. Suffice to say we felt ripped off, and hungry!!

Great meal; dishes were flavoursome and cooked using fresh produce. Portions were generous. Due to the meals being cooked as the order went in, there was a wait for the food unlike most Indian restaurants which meant the meal felt unhurried and gave us a chance to chat and enjoy the company. The decor is a little tired, but clean everywhere. The lady behind the bar was welcoming and explained that the food would be prepared fresh so we understood the time frames. We would thoroughly recommend a visit - be aware that it may be cash only - they couldn’t take cards the night we visited but the local minimart has a cash machine.

After getting a little fed up with our regular Indian , we thought we’d give here a go as we’d heard good things and had had one of their menus for some time.We weren’t disappointed! The service was excellent and I was met with a smile and a couple of really friendly staff when I went to pick up.The food itself was fantastic one of the best curries ive had in a long time. We’ll definitely be going back!

Service was amazing, waitress was very helpful and prompt with orders. The food was fresh and it seemed convenient as there were lots of takeaway orders being collected. Curry’s were really nice. Quite big portions though so keep that in mind. The naan breads were to die for. Would visit again ❤️

I don't agree the rating if the place is shut but agree notices should be displayed, BUT an hour's wait at 715 on a Friday night is a disgrace. Take aways are your bread and butter, as you are not normally busy with sit down orders!!!!!!Food is good but 1 hour wait. Shame two customers lost!!!!!

What a lovely restaurant, with very friendly staff . Delightful food highly recommend. Very good value for money. Always felt they had pride in there food and cooking.

Having checked this Establishment's opening hours on their website to confirm they were open It was disappointing to find that they were closed! No explanation posted and no reply to phone call. Very frustrating and inconvenient.

My husband and I went for a meal last night - our first visit. We were really impressed with the range of food on offer, and the quality was excellent. Service was good and staff really friendly. Would definitely recommend and we'll be making this a regular choice for a meal out.

The tandoori spice is the best curry around. Whether you eat in or for a take away. Highly recommended.

Collected a delightful meal of prawn puree chicken madras with mushroom rice chicken tikka biryani and naan bread. It was really delicious well recommended

Appalling level of customer service!! They think it’s acceptable after agreeing a collection time to then keep you hanging around for another 30minutes all while ignoring the fact that you’re still waiting for an answer as to how much longer they’re going to be! Needless to say, got fed up of waiting and went elsewhere.

Had a brilliant meal delivered to us last night. The driver got a bit lost but was still smiling when he found us. The food is to be recommended and look forward to eating in the restaurant soon.

We are a bit fussy when it comes to Indian food and oh my - the tandoori spice just keeps delivering - undoubtedly the best Indian restaurant in the area - take away - delivery or eat in - service with a smile and a bit of banter on the side -absolutely love it - see you later in the week- again!

First time trying this restaurant. Recommended by friends. Fast and efficient delivery for a Saturday night takeaway. Food okay. Good value for money. We had chicken tikka masala, chicken shahi akbari, pilau rice, saag aloo and naan for under £27 inc delivery.

Ordered a takeaway from here for delivery,it took them 3 hours to delivery it 3 miles. I phoned several times to ask what was happening and was told they were busy so it will be there when it gets there,asked to speak to management was told no asked for refund was told no. When it eventually arrived just over 3 hours after I ordered it it was awful,everything was so hot we couldn't eat it,I think they emptied the chilli pot in the food on purpose because I complained about the time it was taking them. Would never eat here again,staff and owner so rude I'm disgusted they need to learn some customer service.

What a fantastic find !! From the moment you leave the car , you know you are in for a treat as the smell of spicies hits the nose .... All staff are extremely friendly and you feel welcome and at ease from the very first moment ..... The food is outstanding !! Good portion sizes...extremely tasty..... starters we had were Shami kebab and onion bhaji... one word ..Excellent ! .. The shami Kebab was tasty and the best we have had in a very long time , and the Bhaji , not one spec of grease insight ... very light and tasty, both served with a side salad and sauce ... Mains were Chicken Methi, and Chicken Bhuna ....with sides of Pilau rice and Garlic Nan& Garlic Keema Nan... Both meals were Excellent !! Certainly tickled the taste buds for sure , wonderfully aromatic and well ballanced spices , very ,very tastey. Would Highly reccommend this Restaurant to any one !

We ate here with friends yesterday and it was so good I wanted to review it straight away. I have a food allergy which can cause problems in restaurants where food is cooked in bulk. However, because the meals here are prepared fresh to order, the chef was able to adapt virtually any meal on the menu for me. There is good variety of dishes - the food was delicious and great value too. We had eight poppadums with chutneys, four main courses, a portion of rice each and six drinks (four of them alcoholic) and the total cost was less than £55. The guy that served us was friendly and efficient. A brilliant restaurant and we will definitely visit again soon.

Buena comida, tienen servicio a domicilio y fueron muy rápido y puntuales. Los currys muy buenos y el arroz también. Recomendable. El pan de ajo estaba duro y seco, el tikamasala y el korma bastante bien.

Stepped of after a very long journey to a very pleasant curry we all enjoyed. Staff were great, food was gods and arrived after a sensible time. Would definitely go back. Very reasonably priced.

If you would like a swimming lesson i suggest the chicken curry as its so watered down. chicken was bland and so was the curry (though the pumped it full of spice to hide it)

Under a new system of management but with all the familiar dishes beautifully prepared. No longer have to travel all the way to Truro for a decent curry. Also now offering delivery service. Due to popularity takeaways may sometimes take some time so get your order in early! Ambience might be improved with some background Indian music rather than the present modern western music.

Decided to have a Friday night takeaway and give this local Indian a go. They were understaffed and so placing our order at 7pm and waiting we were getting a bit weary by the time it arrived at 7.55pm.

Popped in as we arrived home from holiday and didn't want to cook. We have been several times and have never been disappointed and the bonus is living in the next village is they deliver WOOhOO

Booked the restaurant, unfortunately usually closed on Tuesday's. Asked if they would open for a party of 14 and they said yes. When we arrived some others had taken advantage that it was open. The food was excellent and the meal deal of curry, side dish and drink for £9.95 made this visit memorable. The staff could not have done anymore and nothing was too much. We shall be back. Have a sit down instead of a takeaway it is well worth it and will ensure the restaurant stays open. Thanks again.

Once again I had a first class meal at Tandorri Spice with my family last Sunday, the food was absolutely delicious as always. The staff with Alan the owner always makes us feel so welcome. Thank you again for a lovely meal.

It's difficult to find a really good Indian, but the Tandoori Spice is worth searching out, being in Probs a few miles west of StAustell. I have tried most of the places in and around StAustell and whilst they are good the Spice beats them hands down. Lovely clean restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. Excellent tasty food with just the right balance if spices. Highly recommended.

Had home delivery for 6 and it was one of the best we've had. Large portions, very tasty, great value and not swimming in grease. Definitely returning.

Not an easy place to find but we'll worth seeking out. The portions are very generous with lovely tasty sauces and all for great value. The service was friendly and professional. A little chilly in the restaurant but didn't spoil our meal. Would highly recommend.

This little restaurant is tucked away in a small village that it would be easy to miss it... but don't because the food is as good as anywhere I've traveled around the world. The welcome was friendly, service outstanding and food amazing. For £10 you get a curry & rice of your choice plus a pint of beer or glass of wine. Portions are well above average. Spice level was spot on for my jalfrezi but if it gets too much their unique (yellow) mint sauce helps temper it... try it and enjoy..

My partner and I ate here just over a week ago after travelling down to Probus en route from Ringwood for a holiday. Neither of us were overly hungry and our host at the local B&B; recommended eating here. When we arrived we had the run of the restaurant as he advised would likely be the case! However, people were coming to collect takeaways throughout the evening. We were greeted by the front of house lady who advised that there was a meal deal of a curry, rice and pint for £9.95. As I don't drink pints, she advised I could have a glass of wine instead and we substituted one rice dish for a naan bread. We were really impressed with the meal which arrived with hot plates and just enough food to satisfy two weary travellers!

I have eaten in here a couple of times. Each time the meal has been fantastic, the staff friendly and efficient. Great deal from Sun to Thur £9.95 for a curry, rice and a pint or a glass of wine, fantastic value. They also offer a takeaway and delivery service.

We went here last night for my birthday meal 3 adults and 3 children.We all had a very nice evening all the food was cooked to perfection from poppadoms, korma, rogan josh and even tikka, we never had to ask once for a refill on drinks as we was very well looked after by our waitress, the restaurant was quiet when we was there but didnt lack atmosphere at all it is a lovely restaurant very comfortable and wasn't to hot or cold :) the price was very reasonable as well as you could have a curry, rice and a drink for 9.95 only on certain days though so please check before you go. We will definitely going again soon as we are locals and with great food and reasonable prices it doesn't make sense to go anywhere else.
