On holiday and got a takeaway from here . Definitely some of the best curries we've had (partner is fussy ). Highly recommend if in area .

Your typical Indian restaurant, minus all the busy crowds. We came here for dinner, and there were only three groups of people present. There was one waiter tending to all of us, and he was pleasant and friendly. He recommended some dishes for us, which we enjoyed. The chicken tikka was quite sweeter than expected, but happily eaten with fried rice. The tandoori chicken (mix grill) was enjoyed by all of us, and it was hot from the tandoor. The atmosphere was calm, warm and soothing. In my opinion, the prices were moderate and this was a good dinner experience.

Finally I have found a great curry in St Ives, food and service are great. Highly recommended

Ordered a fair few dishes , the obvious chicken tikka massalas korma, couple of baltis few starters for delivery , was told 40 minutes & it literally was . All pots filled up & quality was amazing . Great price . Thank you to Curry Garden

The Curry Garden gave our group of 7 friends a delicious selection of curries. There was help given when needed about the menu choices. The food and service were both excellent.

Down from Northampton for a few days. Have had many a curry all over Britain, and I can honestly say this is the best chicken curry we have had. Chicken tender and the sauces were absolutely beautiful. Please keep up the good work. Would strongly recommend. Polite staff. Will be back soon I hope. x

The food was in my opinion very good quality. I had a Lamb Korai, Peshwari Nan, Pilau Rice and Yoghurt and to me the right of spice and heat to make it a most enjoyable eat. My good lady had a vegetable Balti and mushroom rice which she was not so keen on hence the loss of a star. I would overall recommend a visit to the Curry Garden if you like this type of cuisine.

Went on a recommendation. Had vegetable balti and mushroom rice. Would have been totally suitable if I had no teeth! The vegetables were obviously reheated as they were mush, had one pea, two inch length bits of green bean and two stalks of something unrecognisable, the rest was a mush. The mushroom rice was bright yellow (oh my eczema will love that!) And had pockets of really salty mushroom. In my opinion there is no atmosphere, and not even a mint or sweet with your bill! A very expensive pureed meal! So basic and not for me.

Curry Garden offers a casual setting with a straightforward decor. The menu features a range of traditional Indian dishes that are generally tasty in flavor. Portions are generous, and the service is friendly, though it can be slow when the restaurant is busy.

Turned up with my step daughter without booking as had been let down by another place. The manager was very accommodating and managed to squeeze us in. All the staff were very friendly and made the experience a very pleasant one. The food was excellent. My go to is a chicken madras and it was exceptional, though very spicy, the taste was top tier. The restaurant operates a bring your own alcohol drink policy which is well signed on the outside but offers a good range of soft drinks to purchase inside. Outstanding service and food. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you.

The food was very sweet and didn’t taste like Indian at all. And the server was disrespectful and he denied to serve us extra rice.

We had a lovely meal here. The service was great. They don’t serve alcohol but you are welcome to take your own so we took a bottle of wine with us. Good value for money and lovely tasting food. We would definitely go back. Thank you. Lisa and Adam.x

Service you could not fault and food even better! The best meal we have eaten out by a mile, sauces, table water, all kept topped up and brought accordingly without needing to ask. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you

The restaurant claims that it is an Indian restaurant but actually it’s not and the food tastes so bad. We ordered chicken biryani and it was not at all biryani, it was just plain white rice and few chicken pieces. There was no spices no aroma and its a bluff in the name of biryani esp Indian restaurant. We also ordered vegetable biryani even that was so bland in taste.

Lovely restaurant with pleasant staff. Very accommodating to allergens and children. The food was perfect. After 6 years of holidaying in St Ives, I think we've found our favourite curry house.

This is now the best curry in St Ives. Great staff and great food. Keep it up. Just a heads up for takeaway customers. Just had almost £50 worth of takeaway delivered. Sheet kebab missing from mixed starter special rice missing . Owner practically called me a liar and said he checked bag and it was in their so Where's it gone. I have over 3 million views on maps for food reviews and have never heard the like of it. Steer well clear of this establishment. We've been using it since my wife's 50th birthday 11 years ago. Never again. Disgraceful.

Beautiful food excellent service

The place expects you to order one main course per person stating that it is a busy period when the entire restaurant was empty. We mentioned that we did not want to waste food by ordering a lot but the employees were rude and not at all considerate.

Had a delicious takeaway meal from Curry Garden, will be back for more on next year's holiday!

Beautiful authentic Bangladesh & Indian cuisine, melts in your mouth. The service was superb, you can bring your own alcoholic beverage. Definitely recommend.

Avoid this restaurant… The waiter with red hair is too much rude.. asked for a table she gave in a corner and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all still she was asking me twice to change the side of seat..i mean seriously what’s wrong with that person i am here to eat food with my money & your job supposed to give service… She was also talking with her colleague about telling me to change the seat and she was watching i haven’t.. Went to raajpoot (st ives)restaurant staff’s are friendly as well as little india in (penzance). Except this one .. i think she is a racist as well…

Worst service! The lady with red hair was very rude and also racist. She gave so much attitude to us and also backbiting about us to other staff. She should learn some manner if she’s working in an asian place. You’ll work in an Asian restaurant and will show attitude to Asians, this is not cool mate! Learn some manners first! Never going back there also will not recommend to my family & friends!

Going on a road trip with an Indian father means he will, at some point or almost all the time, want to eat an Indian meal and this restaurant was a godsend to him for his meal and for me the time-saving miracle that saved me hours of searching and finding somewhere good enough to enjoy an Indian meal away from home. The food was nice, but again, cooked to the preference of the locals so keeping that in mind there was not much to debate over. The table service was really good - appreciated the honesty when it came to asking about the dishes and what they would recommend - the guys run the place exceptionally well. Always putting customers first and ensuring their dietary needs are met along with doing all they can to make sure guests get their food on time whether it's eat in take away or delivery. It was really impressive to see their dedication and people skills work hand in hand. It's a great place, small but just right to not overflow with people. If you like your Indian food, go give this place a chance.

Food never turned up after chasing every 15 mins after delivery time foe 1 hour. "15 mins away" every time. Zero customer service!!!

Takeaway supposed to be delivered in 1 hr. Chased after 1 hr 15 and got the typical "it'll be there in 10-15 mins" line. Nothing after 2 hours and several phone calls whereby they hung up on us. Diabolical and ruined our evening

Excellent curry in small, but clean restaurant. Good choice, and at good prices. You can bring your own alcohol, which is great when you know what you pay elsewhere. Well worth a visit for a good quality curry meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

The food was 30% more expensive than what it said outside and online. Over £4 for a small side of rice is too expensive. The food also didn't taste very well seasoned. Too expensive for the food. The service was trying, but could be more attentive.

Never recommend if you want to try Indian food in st lves . Biryani rice was difficult to chew( I won’t call it a biriyani instead rice fixed in meat ) , curry worth of 16 pound is Tasteless , grilled item were salty. Waiter’s attitude so rude and arrogant may be racist toward Asian people . The way he was answering our questions, concern like he is favouring on us . We were so tired that not in a mood to complain about anything at that moment .

A good curry, reasonably priced - enjoyable starters and tasty main meals. My only complaint was some of the chicken was a little tough which meant I didn’t finish all my meals but overall a pleasant meal. Remember to take your own alcohol because this restaurant has no license.

Takeout for 8 at betwixtmas. Very quick e-confirmation of order and dinner ready to collect. No chutneys provided for 12 popadoms, a bit disappointing - must be somewhere on menu, but would have been nice freebie on order of £110+. Variety of meals, some very good (eg a lamb meal in a fruity sauce), some average (eg lamb birani). Not quite the trteat we were looking for.

Very poor value for money. We paid £7.95 each for prawn and chicken tandoori starters, for that price we received only TWO prawns, and one piece of thin chicken. We felt completely ripped off! We also ordered a tarka dhal, which was the constancy of watery soup and had no spice flavours at all, only salt. Very poor value and customer consideration. I would not recommend it at all :(

We flipped a coin between the 2 places in St Ives that serve curry, and maybe we chose the wrong one .. takeaway service was pretty quick and good comms via the app, but food was disappointing, lamb was tough, and chicken was dry .. prawn curry did get a thumbs up ..

You honestly can’t walk past this place without being hit with the amazing spices that always make the mouth water. We had a lovely evening meal here during our stay and everything was perfect.

There was 8 of us so booked the week before. Restaurant was spotless. Food was delicious. Only had poppadoms to start before mains. All delivered hot and fresh. Really enjoyed it all. Good service. Would go back.

I have never had such a bad curry at an Indian restaurant. Ordered a korma, which I know is not the most exciting dish and supposed to be mild, but it tasted of absolutely nothing. It is like what I imagine astronaut food must taste like. I was aware that I was eating something but there was no taste to the food whatsoever. A korma is supposed to be sweet and coconuty and it was neither. When we called the waiter over and told them, asking if something may be missing from it, he just said that a korma is supposed to be mild and seemed disinterested. I wish I had not eaten most of it because paying for such bland food was painful, but after waiting an hour (with no apology for the wait, of course) I was too hungry to turn down even this tasteless meal. I have had nicer kormas from a jar. Avoid this restaurant please. They did not even apologise for such a bad experience. I also feel like they must be paying people to leave good reviews unless we were just unlucky and the chef forgot to add half the ingredients to our curry that day.

Remember, if you use an alcoholic drink here, bring your own. No problem 👍😀

Terrible and awful experience ever in my entire life. Whole staff mainly the waiters are very very very rude and disrespectful and racists they will respect you only if you make an order above £50 if you order less they tend to showcase as if you are having their food for free lol I kindly please anyone reading this please don’t visit them if you do please be careful of the waiters absolutely worst. Absolute waste of time ..worst service and terrible staff.

Modern means without taste? Never had such a tasteless Indian food. If it were my first Indian food experience, it would be the last one.

Slimy waiter charged us for poppadom that we thought was free. Unprofessional staff. Not good English. Mislead us as regards drinks.

Please do not go to this place, I'm not usually one to be critical but the food was absolutely bland and tasteless. Ordered 2 kormas which had no flavour whatsoever. I'm aware kormas are usually mild but this was absolutely tasteless and very overpriced! Staff also had little to no interest when we complained . Also we had to wait over an hour for our food with no apology! Anyone visiting I definitely recommend the By the Sea restaurant and Becks fish and chips instead!

Called in here as the only place we could get a table at tea time during busy summer holidays. We were all disappointed by the portion sizes, the tikka masala tasted bland and flavourless much like the korma. Wouldn’t eat here again as the tables were small and cramped could barely fit 3 of us on. Restaurant could do with aircon.

Busy Thursday night at the curry garden. Let me set the scene. Been a busy day with the Mrs. All the posh places were booked up. Up steps curry garden. Ismael was fantastic . He got us in and the service was unreal. One of the best I've ever had, and I tell you now, I've had a few in my time ! Definitely give it a go if you're in st Ives. Thanks again lads x

We ordered a take away- unfortunately the sauces were very bland and the meat was very tough. Everything was swimming in cooking oil too. Very disappointed. They were extremely busy with orders so perhaps it was an off night.

Awful curry ! Just sweet no flavour or substance. Naans were even sweeter. It arrived in 5 mins of ordering ….. says it all. Restaurant was dead . That spoke volumes in itself. Went with other ‘great’ reviews.. what a waste of an evening ....

Wonderful food. Ordered delivery and was delighted by the chicken naga, which was extremely spicy (as promised!) and truly delicious. I will be ordering from here again.

Food was nice, but the chicken was not marinated at all. It was just like cooking at home. Plain tasteless chicken in a rich sauce. And no mango lassi, thats one thing thats needed in a restaurant like this. And we had to wait over an hour for 3 maindishes.
