Best Indian in Saltash by far. This guy has one in Plymouth too which we when to for years whilst there. Amazing service and food.

Just received my order and must say my korma was vile it was spicy couldn't taste coconut at all also was like water eaten from here many times had no problems before mine went in the bin

Up until recently Tamar Spice provided a really good takeaway. I’m not sure what happened last week, maybe the chef was on holiday and he left some instructions that weren’t followed! The food was very amateurish and delivered 30 minutes later than the one hour promised. Descriptively, tit was largely pink. The pinkness of the almond and honey chicken was explained by the tikka meat leaching its artificial colouring into the sauce. Somehow this pinkness also afflicted the naan (maybe from the tandoor), but I don’t understand why the prawn dhansak was also pink. The latter was tasteless. The aloo gobi was OK (maybe chef had left them some in the freezer, or they’d bought it in from the co-op?

Best Indian takeaway in saltash in my eyes. Always quick delivery and always delicious! Friendly helpful staff.

Will not be using this take away again..... I placed an order at 19.20pm and had confirmation the order was due to arrive 20.20pm. I received a text at 19.44pm to say my order was on the way, at 20.15pm I called to ask where my order was to be told it was out for delivery with another 5 orders 🤔 at 20.45pm my order arrived, an hour to deliver our food 🤔 not good. Won't be back

This place is absolutely awful. How this business operates I do not know! Food was expensive, food bland and portion sizes small. Counter staff rude and the basic hygiene of the place is disgusting, wouldn't recommend. The owner likes to write own reviews about his business it seems too! Shocking.

Possibly the best Indian Curry that I have tasted. The chef is first class; useing the very best ingredients; the correct proportions of herbs and spices and doesnt overcook. Their king prawns are the real thing - like lobster tails, very tasty, and their vegeratian dishes are exceptional.

Consistently good food, always hot, well made, delicious food, friendly when you go in as well. Good selection and as a novice to spicey food I find their descriptions spot on.

This is the first time we have tried Tamar Spice. We requested delivery and it arrived early! 😃 We had starters and shared 2 main dishes with rice, naan and poppadoms. We thoroughly enjoyed and everything was high quality. We would definitely recommend and will be revisiting soon 😊

Had a takeaway. Had to pay £4 on top of the advertised delivery, over 30 minutes late by which time food was luke warm. The order was missing 3 starters so we telephone and telephone and eventually had the promise of money back into our account for the missing starters. It's been over 2 weeks and still no payment. Very disappointed with service we had from them. The worse thing is that even though the food was only warm it tasted great. Being disabled I often find it easier to have a delivery but with this kind of service I would rather drive the extra miles than trust this restaurant to provide my food again. WORST SERVICE EVER

Disappointed. We have used this takeaway many times and food has been very good. Unfortunately the meals we had last night were inedible and went in the bin. Everything was VERY salty and the baltis didn't taste much like anything. Sorry will not be using you again.

Have been using this Indian for 5 years, food and flavours have always been fantastic. About 6 months ago we started to get containers that weren't as full, in the last few weeks we've had half a curry turn up and starting to feel a bit ripped off.

Stopped in this place for a take out because I just fancied a curry. Firstly on the menu they have normal and bali. When I asked about this the guy told me that the bali is a special paste they add for extra flavour. Now being from the Midlands and going to Balti Houses I know that a Balti is the dish it's cooked in.So anyway I went for a Bhuna with the extra flavour and it was so hot I left most of it. Won't be going again that's for sure

So ive tried a few different dishes which show no chillies (spicy indicator) on the menu, regardless of this, whatever i have had, is too spicy!! Its the same heat my partner has and he always chooses something with two chillies!!! Normally i can handle a pathia but these dishes have all heat and no taste!! Ive given it a chance by trying a few different things but each time its the same...all heat n no taste!!! Wont be getting takeaway from here again!! That was your last chance!!

Ordered mixed meal (£23.45) for two. Paid by debit card and got charged 50p. I am in business and use a card machine and I would never add a surcharge onto my customers, very short sighted. Would have got a higher score if not felt like I had been ripped off.

Far and away the best Indian food available in Saltash. Can't speak for delivery, as we always collect. Butter chicken is fabulous. Highly recommend that dish.

Nice food but the driver broke our gate and didn't say anything..we have a dog and she wouldn't come back if she ran out. Not very happy as he didn't even mention it was broken. I wouldn't have minded if he'd told us..

It was an hour and a half late, and when it did turn up it was cold. I was promised money back and a voucher, none of which has materialised. Very poor service.

Terrible meal would not feed to a dog, the business should be closed down. Madras full of water. Bruma like dog food. Telephone to complain and we were told it happens. Nightmare.

We have been using this takeaway for some time and it has always been prompt and good service, but last night was really disappointing .Portions were not as generous and my usual dish tasted awful. Obviously something has changed, and not for the better.We will be going elsewhere in future.

Sorry but onion bhaji's were dry and overcooked. Chicken Jalfrezi was raw, possibly insufficient time to marinate. Disappointing as we usually love yor food.

Our food took 3 hours 15 minutes to arrive. We placed our order at 6.30pm with an eta of 7.10. By 7.40 it still hadn't arrive so we called to be told that it was been packaged. At 8.30 we called again to be told it was going to be 25 minutes. At 9.30 we called again to be told that it was out on delivery. Our food finally arrived at 9.40 over 3 hours late. The most frustrating thing about this is that we gave them 3 chances to tell us they were busy and that there would be a delay. The food was good as always.

Used to use this take away alot food always hot and delicious delivery was mainly on time ,,,,,Ordered a take away last night first time for weeks and was really looking forward to it ordered at 7.20 was told an hour and 15 delivery at 9.00 it still hadn't arrived I phoned and was told it would be another 20 mins after complaining I was offered a £3 discount at 9.50 it finally arrived it was edible but not as good as it used to be don't think I'll be using it again which is a shame it used to be my favourite take away in saltash what's happened?

we have ordered from here many times BUT tonight was our last.food cold,looked like child portions,3 pieces of lamb in the rogan josh.we phoned them to be told government legislation on how much meat is addedcome on tamar spice dont lie to customers because you have altered the portion size. £22.10 is crazy for poor quality.

Took 80 minutes to deliver. Then despite me leaving a note on my order and ringing up to ensure they got my note, i had the wrong dish! Then had to wait 20 minutes to be rectified, but during my call to explain the error, the chap on the phone handled the call poorly and had zero customer service skills! Very disatisfied!

Ordered takeaway 4 times now. Hoping the 4th delivery would be better, how we were wrong. Food was cold and burnt, order was wrong, delivery stated 45 mins took 1 hour and 40 mins then another 30 mins for the correct order. No refund offered.

Have ordered a few times by phone for delivery. Always delivered within the time specified and hot. Tried some of their recommend dishes and they have been cooked perfectly, never swimming in ghee and taste delicious. Nan breads and popadums are also excellent. Can't fault this takeaway it's simply the best by miles.

I ordered a meal for one from the menu on their website where the price was £12-95. I checked that would be the price when I ordered only to be told that it was £13-95. I queried this to be told that it was a new menu. It made me feel a bit ripped off. I know it's only a quid, but that's not the point.They had taken my adress and post code and even then the delivery guy had to ring me up since he was obviously in the wrong street.The food was very nice and I enjoyed it, but I am only giving them 2 stars because of the above mentioned problems.If you have a website for your business then it makes sense to update it regularly. It's not difficult to do.
