One of my favourite places. Irin is an extremely talented chef. I have worked my way through her specialities, and they are all outstanding. She’s very knowledgeable about her food, and we’ve had great chats as I’m also interested in cooking myself. There’s a big table in the takeaway, so you can eat in also if you like, which I always do… It’s fantastic watching her work her magic as it is an open kitchen… Her brother and her daughter are also very lovely, and the place just has a wonderful vibe. I would highly recommend, it’s a 10 out of 10 for me.

Excellent Indian and Bangladeshi food to take away. As tourists from France, we had intuition it was fresh homemade food and we really loved what we tried. Very tasty and fresh! Congrats to the cook. We would definitely like to take away from your place again when we’ll be back in Penzance!

Curry Corner provides outstanding Indian food at great prices. We especially enjoyed tandoori dishes which were perfectly spiced and very tasty. Our nans and pilau rice were excellent. The restaurant has very limited seating which we used and primarily provides take out food. The premises are not fancy but the food and very kind and attentive staff can’t be beat. Highly recommended!

Great curry, definitely the most authentic in this area. Everything always fresh and made from scratch. Love the open kitchen. The owner and chef is one of the loveliest people you could hope to meet. My partner is vegan and the chef often changes a dish slightly to suit. Perfect

Amazing. Really delicious food. They don't normally have sit-ins but they were kind enough to accommodate us at very short notice. The food was outstanding on every level and received in good time. They were very kind and pleasant.

Was told about going here because I’m friends with there delivery driver, was not a mistake whatsoever. The food was a sold 10/10, lovely flavouring and amazing friendly service to be honest. Will be going again!

Need more experiance cooking that food,not good taste at all. I bring my naan at home and it was crispy,dont have to be like that

So sometimes the most unassuming venues can produce the most beautiful food, and the Curry Corner is one such venue. To look at it is not much to look at, but the food it turns out is some of the most flavourful delicious Indian food I’ve ever had. If you’re lucky enough you can also watch the chef cook your meal. Cooked on a gas stove, along with a tantor oven perfectly suited for amazing breads. My wife and I enjoyed a vegetable biriani, tarka dal with a chilli nann and paratha a long with a side of vegetable samosa. I love to watch the chef at work and so do enjoyed eating the food. Today we were given the addition of poppadoms free of charge and that was really unexpected and greatly appreciated. I would have no problem saying eat here you won’t regret it.

Waited for 2 hours for the food to be delivered. Which was a hour late. I'd like to say it was worth the wait. But no, was pretty bad, will not be using again.

Food is amazing 10/10 recommend this fantastic friendly food service, I am a local and I have tried every Indian in and around Penzance and the don’t even nearly compare to the food here. If you want a real taste of India then this is the place to be

I always go here every time I come down to Penzance. It definitely is the best takeaway in penzance. I highly recommend this place. I usually order a madras and my husband orders the butter chicken, rice and garlic nan. Amazing as always! Staff are also really friendly:)

I've tried a lot of takeaways in my time but this is by far the best around, extremely polite/helpful staff, can see the food being cooked right in front of you so you no your getting fresh food and it's very reasonably priced, i will definitely be back. Highly reccomend.

Big thank you to Curry Corner! We were on holiday, rang up to place an order and they informed cards were only accepted for in-store purchases and were very apologetic, which wasn’t a problem as they were only a 10 min walk from where we were staying. Upon arrival for collection, they asked if I placed an order and what was my name and, from them on they referred to me by my first name and were very chatty and friendly while the food was being prepared. When the food was ready, I paid and, as it was raining, the assistant behind the counter asked if I was walking back to my accommodations and, when I said yes, they offered to drive me back so I didn’t get wet, which I gladly accepted and very pleasant during the whole ride. For the meal itself garlic naan was freshly made to order and it was one of the best ones we had in our lives, fried rices were both very good and both tikka masala and Kashmir dishes were amazing (you could taste the freshness of the ingredients used!) Highly recommend it!!!

This place is LEGIT. Seriously some of the best curry I've ever had (in India included). The chicken balti and sag aloo were especially great. Also, the garlic naan is the best I've ever tasted. On top of that, the people who work at Curry Corner are not only incredibly pleasant, but also clearly care a great deal about the food they are providing. I'll be back!

I have used curry Corner for years. Went today 30/06/23 and was absolutely disgusted.Cost £6 more than said on online menu.Chicken was dry.starter was dry.Ordered set meal for 1.had 5 bits of chicken in 3 meals. The best part of the meal was the rice. This take away has dramatically gone down hill. Its sad to complain about a business.but they sell food.and the food I ate felt to me like it was last weeks chicken.

Surprisingly Penzance has limited offerings in the curry department. In most cities you can't fail to trip over a Balti when you need one. maybe that is why this one says it is the "Finest" in Penzance. The good - freshly cooked tasty take away curry. Tandor cooked naans. The bad - waited ages and ages. I think they were short staffed.

Curry corner is one of the best Indian takeaways I have encountered. The food is cooked in front of you and the chef really knows what she's doing. I order here frequently as it is always great tasting and I am never let down.

I order takeaway curries here every week, simply because the food is fantastic. Furthermore, all of the staff are very friendly and clearly care about their business. If you are after an Indian takeaway or delivery I fully recommend.

My daughter and I had just arrived from London. The first place we spotted was Curry Corner. I have to say that although the place isn’t quite out there, they do some ridiculously amazing food. Loved the curries and the bhajis were absolutely lovely. I was really happy with my food. Thank you curry corner we will definitely be back again. Highly recommend

We have been eating at Curry Corner for some years, once our favourite local Indian Takeaway but after over one year away we returned home to find a different level of quality. In fact no quality ! ☹️ Both the food & staff have changed for the worse. 
We ordered a delivery & the gentleman on the phone told us our delivery would be 1 hr but even at 2 hrs later it had not arrived. We called again to be told it was on its way. It finally arrived & was what can only be described as watery, tasteless slop with hardly any meat. The Rice was cold & lumpy, popadoms soft & 2 dishes missing. We were told to come back in the week to be reimbursed as they were too busy to send a driver !? 
My wife was keen to give them a second chance as we have always been loyal customers so we went the next week at Easter with friends, it wasn’t too busy but we still were made to wait nearly an hour for our food ! We were invited to eat in & wait but without sounding rude the place looked a filthy chaotic shambles, & the lady cheff extremely moody & rude with both customers & her staff. The food has always been the best & the staff always so friendly, helpful & happy but we almost felt embarrassed & sorry for them.
This was always our favourite place but it seems after one year it has deteriorated, nothing like the old Curry Corner we used to love. We won’t be returning & neither will our friends.

I really love this place and everything I've ever ordered has been absolutely delicious and if you walk in and order you get the added bonus of seeing and smelling the food being cooked and prepared. Also the owners/staff are always warm and friendly so it's an all round enjoyable experience.

You might ignore this place as it looks a little down-at-heel. Don’t. This is one of the very best Indian takeaway food outlets anywhere. She has been here for many years through thick and thin and continues to cook lovingly and very well. Best if you collect rather than rely on delivery. Indian food isn’t instant so it’s normal to wait 20-30 minutes. Note it’s cash only in a card-based society (Several ATMs nearby if you need one) and officially no parking outside but if you’re stopping to order or collect no-one will bother you. Also a few eat-in seats first-come first-seated. Very good food indeed and fairly priced too. Highly recommended.

Fresh cooked in front of you and delicious with distinct flavours in each dish, live near Southall so good Curry is on my doorstep and this is up there with the best of them.

Best Indian food you will get if you’re in Penzence city in Cornwall . If you’re looking for the test of home made food please just visit this shop and you will not regret. Customer friendly and good food. Highly recommended..

I've been coming to penzance for over 20 years on holiday. I always come to curry corner at least once per visit. The lovely chef cooks everything on her own and you can watch her cooking with her tandoori chef. I had a Veg Vindaloo and a garlic naan. Cost me only £10.25 she let me off the 25p so kind. The food was hot and full of veg and most importantly tasted amazing, it's not fancy indian food but old school proper indian that I remeber from the 70's/80's full of flavour and good value. Looking forward to coming again in 2023.

The food from this gem of a take away in Penzance was superb. Cooked in front of us in the open kitchen, naan from the stone oven. Authentic and delicious.

Delivery took 90 minutes, no apology from driver and the food was leaked all over bag. The curry was fine, but nothing to write home about and the naan was flavorless and a bit dry.

Been eating here for many years ( I live in Wiltshire!) . Eat there on 22/7/21, with friends and as ever it was superb. Both my children (22+ 29) always go there! If you want a Restaurant that looks good with average food go there...

One of the best chicken tandoori and keema naan we ever had! We come from london and were returning from Minack theatre. Didn’t have a lot of options so decided to have ago at ‘Curry Corner’ and having had many Indian foods in our life time, we must say the naan here tops it off. It’s a small takeaway store with good service and friendly attitude. Couldn’t resist to comment!

Absolutely gorgeous!!!! Piping hot, very flavoursome, Tandoori chicken is gorgeous!! Tonight I ordered Lamb Madras , Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma and X2 portions of Chicken Tandoori ... Nan breads, X2 Pilua rice and a Garlic rice ... Got all that for £36 and it's was awesome. Will definitely be back.

Don't be put off by the dull exterior! We ordered a takeaway to collect, ready in 15 mins, fresh, hot and an excellent standard- amazing Bombay aloo!

Called at 5.45 to place an order for delivery, called 3 times more to find out where order was. Told every time it will be there is 20 minutes. Eventually at 8.20 was told only 20, cancelled order, 2.5 hours wait for nothing. Shocking

Had to wait 2 and a half hours for our food, when it did arrive after 4 phone calls it was a lot more expensive than I thought as their menu online is 10 years out of date (according to the delivery driver), anyway we plated it all out and I've got to say, I'm sure it used to taste better a while ago as it was or seemed to be very watery and flavourless. Such a shame for what used to be our favourite. Won't be ordering again .

Used to be my favourite... The last couple have been incredibly salty and it doesn't fill me with confidence when I repeatedly hear the microwave going off when I'm collecting my order.

We absolutely love the food from here. The staff are always friendly and helpful. My husband orders a Phall extra hot and they do it for him. When the food arrives it’s always piping hot. Even with the restriction that are going on the delivery drivers are fantastic. Big thumbs up to everyone at Curry Corner. Well done guys.

Can't reccomend them enough. I've been ordering from them for 15 years. The price, while it has gone up with inflation, has remained consistently reasonable, unlike some other restaurants in the area who overcharge, but the food had always been reliable and is probably the best curry in the local area. Last night their delivery driver was off sick so they sent the food out in a taxi, which must have cost them profit as I live 3 miles away! The food arrived piping hot and 15 minutes early. There was enough left for a small snack the next day.Seen some reviews complaining that they only take cash. I've been going to them for 15 years, I've always known they only take cash and it doesn't seem like a problem to me. The currys good enough that its worth popping to the cashpoint if you know your going to order.Highly reccomend their set meals. They are not stingy and given you a decent little meal for the price.

Ordered food and was told cash only which was not a problem, was told a price so went to the bank to get the cash and then when we arrived back was told a more expensive price. Asked why this was and they said in a rude manner the price they gave was only for curry not the sundries which was strange as we gave the full order before being given a price. Very rude staff, would not recommend.

I come here every week and I am pleased by the food that is given. Full of great flavours, better than any other curry takeaway/restaurant in penzance! Highly recommend this takeaway. Staff are lovely, looking forward to my next meal.

This was by far the worst curry I have ever had. We ordered pilau rice, chicken korma, chicken madras, saag aloo, garlic naan, and poppadoms. On the phone, the lady said they didn't have any poppadoms so I advised I would cancel my order. She then backtracked and said she would have poppadoms. Waiting time was advised as 30mins however 5 mins before food was due to be ready, they called to say it would be another 20 mins. We just waited outside in the car and saw the lady walk into the Co-op opposite. When I went to collect my food, I had to wait for a further 10 mins (total 1 hour) and was able to notice the dead flies on the counter by the window. It seemed the chef was just starting our meal. Hair was not in hairnets and one lady working there had long hair that was loose and not even tied up. I was then advised that we couldn't have our naan bread due to issues with the cooking equipment but we were given extra poppadoms. When we finally got home, we realized we had been given co-op poppadoms, boiled rice, and curry with no flavour. Terrible curry.

Really good curry with plenty of flavour and pretty good meat quality. Got a lamb bhuna, chicken korma, some naans and one rice between two Of us. Was a perfect amount of food for a really reasonable price. Only negative is they only take cash.

We visit Penzance regularly and have always had great food from Curry Corner but something has gone wrong this year. My wife and i had a meal four nights ago, very poor. Microwave chicken and 30 minutes late. We thought it was a one off and gave them the benefit of the doubt after years of good service but our daughter and friends had a similar experience last night. Shan’t be risking it again.

I had try 1. Tandoori chicken- too good 2. Chicken Madras-the best one 3. Archar Lamb - a bit sweet not sure how local taste of this one 4. Kumar lamb (not sure this correct)- for some people who like peanut sauce

Ordered a takeaway and it was delicious. Everything was spot on and we especially loved the Lamb Biryani. Good prices, good food and good service. Have ordered from here many times and will continue to in the future.

As locals my partner and I use Curry Corner a lot. The food is cooked fresh to order and in front of you if you order in the shop, which is fascinating to watch as there are no measuring devices, it's all done by eye. We order a set meal usually and this feeds us for two evenings. The food is delicious and each different type of curry has an individual taste. The owner of the establishment is friendly and happy to chat in between cooking all the orders. We return again and again and highly recommend anyone who wants to eat a take away curry in Penzance which is good value for money and tasty try here first.

We visit Curry Corner EVERY time we visit Penzance. A really lovely, accommodating and friendly family business who prepare the most incredible food. Absolutely delicious. The Tikka Wraps are amazing along with a huge selection of freshly prepared dishes of wide ranging flavours.
