The best restaurants in Penzance East Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Independent restaurant with absolutely superb food - which we’ve not stopped talking about since. Now planning to try to recreate the Bigos (sauerkraut and smoked sausage stew). Swift, friendly and informed service. Great wine, cheesecake and caters to all dietary requirements. It’s a shame we don’t live closer but will definitely be making a trip back. Highly recommend. Enjoy.

I only ever go there for meetings.

This was a disappointment compared to the old days of the bay restaurant. We were greeted with all the things that weren't available, I ended up having fish and chips as my first choice. It wasn't but wasn't terrible but it was covered in way too much salt which couldn't be avoided very easily. Wish we had gone out to eat but as we were staying in the hotel we chose to stay in.

Took an hour to get a takeaway on a Monday. If it was a weekend during the high season, I’d be more sympathetic, but this was a MONDAY in EARLY MAY. Great Front of House staff, very accommodating, but the kitchen has a very serious problem that needs to be sorted out immediately. UNACCEPTABLE. Moreover, the pizza was not dimensionally/ proportionally as advertised. You’re better off going to Dominoes really.

Louise on reception was very friendly, allowed an early check in. Room was spacious and bathroom looked brand new.

Quirky and cosy (open log fire in winter) small pub and music venue serving supremely well-kept real ales. The pub is in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide and is also a member of Timothy Taylor's Brewery Champion Club.

Absolutely brilliant real fresh fish and good size chips are amazing and all at a reasonable price

Food was alright but service was poor. Server rushed us and was moody. Brought us out wrong drinks and just dropped food in front of us. Wouldn’t recommend

The worst biryani I've had in the UK. Turmeric still on my hands from food, chicken tikka: food colour in it. Taste was absent. The only saving grace was the portion size. Accompaniment was written as a raita on menu, I got a veg curry instead.

Waited 25 minutes to be served, one poor guy doing all the orders and making drinks. Get your act together Sainsbury, it's a joke.

Booked the Lugger Inn for Sunday carvery. From the first minute staff were friendly and helpful. Was shown to the carvery within 5 minutes. There was 4 choices of meats and lots of choice of vegetables. Which was all excellent. Price was also very good at £14.95. Was advised you can go up as many times as you want , but 1 plate full was more than enough. Would highly recommend.

Had a nice meal and the guy serving me was very polite.

Just bought two fish and chips, when we got home and put them on our plates,the portions are a good size, but unfortunately the chips were not fresh but just warm and limp and the fish was like fish finger size, not happy and won’t be going there again.
