Just bought two fish and chips, when we got home and put them on our plates,the portions are a good size, but unfortunately the chips were not fresh but just warm and limp and the fish was like fish finger size, not happy and won’t be going there again.

nice proper food cheap as chips 1 large cod 1large chips mushy peas kids scampi and chips with tartar sauce 1 large saveloy sausage and a fish cake and a pickle egg only just over £13 family very happy with the food also open later u like most other in the area well done john dory as its also known see you again soon

We regularly use this chippy since moving to Madron and have always had very good fish and chips. Good prices and fresh cooked fish with crispy batter. Very good.

always use here went there not enough hours in the day to cook dinner lovely size portions of proper chips really large good menu at good prices and open later they most in the area and they do potato fitters which seem to be a thing of the past at most chippy s now the only thing i would like to see is that they do larger fish has i do not thing its big enough i would happily pay more as they are very cheap any way apart from that they are a good all round fish and chip shop and lovely down to earth staff

I grew up in a chippy and consider myself a fussy customer, found this place a few years ago and used them ever since, tried 'em all, these guys work on returning customers, none of your touristy feed 'em once cos you'll never see 'em again malarky.

Just off the A30 north of Penzance, this is a good, no-nonsense chippy with decent portions, friendly staff, and reasonable prices too - and it stays open into the evening so will still be serving when you're actually hungry!

Excited at the reopening of a popular fish and chip shop. This is now a type of kebab shop. So I ordered a burger and chips. Once eaten, within an hour I suffered from a very bad stomach. Needless to say I am not returning.

10 Old Bridge StreetWhat a rip off went into walkers in truro today and asked the price of fishcake and chips could not believe it the price of fishcake and chips £8.25 asked the price of the fishcake £5 they must be having a laugh well walkers keep charging prices like that and you will soon be closing your doors been going there for years but wont be going there again charging prices like that then went to sole plaice in truro nr the courts for the same fishcake and chips £5.50 also good good value for money

Headland RoadI’m used to having Rick Stein’s fish and chips at Padstow, which are really good. Not so at their restaurant at Fistral, Newquay. The fish portions are ridiculously small with lots of chips,even the chips were poor. My daughter had Scallops, they gave her three really small ones,on a tiny dish, just enough for a starter but not a main meal. The staff were very friendly though.

Riverside, PadstowSometimes it’s the small things !! That add up and make a business a big thing !! Thank You Rick Stein !! I know you’ve been in this place a long time !! But This week was my first time in Cornwall and your beautiful restaurant and team made our cold, wet and windy stay here worth it 🤣🤣from the minute we were greeted we were made to feel really welcome we were taken then to our table where we were handed over to a lovely waiter called Paul who talked us through the menu the specials and even more important the personal informative description on the wine list I had scallop to start presented attractively in a shell Piping hot and tasted beautiful !! My mains i chose the seafood curry of which I'm so glad that i did !! It was so delicate and tasty !! Came with Cocunut rice and side accompaniments !! Just perfection on a plate !! Then for desert i had the baked rice pudding there are no words other than OMG !! I could of eaten it again !! But i was stuffed !! Thank You Again !! I would recommend any one visiting padstow to try this quintessential english jem of a restaurant !! Its How all Top Restaurants Should do it 🙏❤️🙏 What a Team !! What a superb Restaurant xxx
