The best restaurants in Penryn East and Mylor Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

I love this place. The staff are super friendly, the cafe is really chilled and the food is great. Hands down best avo on toast I’ve ever had and the burritos are EPIC!

Had the most amazing trip for my 70th birthday. A real treat from my children. We had afternoon tea which was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the girls. Even the weather was on our side. Would have no hesitation in recommending this boat to everyone.

We visited on Monday 12th August. Before setting out I checked their website which said opens at 11.30. We arrived 12.15 only to find it was all shut up. We weren't the only ones to arrive and be disappointed. Not a good way to run a business.

Really lovely food … friendly staff .. tucked away restaurant treat . Had kofte meatballs in a rich spicy tomato sauce .. absolutely beautiful.. amazing flavour … others had prawn curry with tasty rice & flat bread .

Just wanted to say thank you for our brunch today. Myself and my husband came in as an unplanned visit- the food was tasty, the coffee was was good, service was really good and efficient with a smile (not sure of the girls name who served us but she was lovely) . And obviously a great view in the sunshine! Thanks again x

Lunchtime visit today, what a treat, loved the menu, between us we had steak, burger, fish cakes and the special of mackerel, all cooked as asked, specific requirements catered for with ease, absolutely delicious. Service exceptional, thank you Ada and team. Also catered for wheelchair user with no fuss , really accessible. We will be back and highly recommend.

Wonderful service We popped in for coffee on a walk, and returned for a drink on our route back. Sadly too busy for us to have lunch although the gorgeous waitress Dion offered us a roast outside. What a shame for this beautiful place closing, and what a bonus for the Pandora to have these wonderful staff joining their team. Thank you Dion. X

Great views and great food at reasonable prices. Really friendly staff. Dodgy (but free) parking due to dodgy car parking company who tried to fine me even though I had used restaurant’s voucher correctly and kept as proof(!). After a failed appeal, it took the restaurant to intervene to remove the fine. Very helpful.

A proper Sunday roast with a view—what more could you want? Castaways at Mylor Harbour delivered on all fronts this weekend. The roast beef was beautifully cooked, served with all the trimmings, and the service was warm and friendly. My husband was equally delighted with his mussels—fresh, full of flavour, and a real treat. To top it off, I indulged in a delicious French red, served at just the right temperature—a rare but thoroughly enjoyable treat. With such a lovely setting and something for everyone on the menu, it’s no surprise we couldn’t fit in a pudding (next time - because they looked lovely!). Highly recommend for a relaxed meal with great food, great service, and stunning harbour views.

Disappointing food from what is usually served. Felt like corners had been cut. My halloumi wrap was mostly lettuce with one very small slice of stone cold straight from the fridge halloumi. Family member had a chicken ceasar wrap with the tiniest bit of chicken and a LOT of lettuce. It wasn't good. A few crisps on the side. Other family member had a breakfast and items were missing! I have eaten here many times over the years and have never had a bad meal. I always recommend to everyone. Times are really hard for hospitality but customers going away feeling short changed is not the answer. Hoping this was just a one off bad day.
