I love this place. The staff are super friendly, the cafe is really chilled and the food is great. Hands down best avo on toast I’ve ever had and the burritos are EPIC!

Had the most amazing trip for my 70th birthday. A real treat from my children. We had afternoon tea which was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the girls. Even the weather was on our side. Would have no hesitation in recommending this boat to everyone.

Best pizza in penryn and falmouth

We visited on Monday 12th August. Before setting out I checked their website which said opens at 11.30. We arrived 12.15 only to find it was all shut up. We weren't the only ones to arrive and be disappointed. Not a good way to run a business.

Brilliant, it ticks all my boxes, great food, great staff/service and the atmosphere between customers is very friendly. Nicely furnished. If I lived here I would be a regular. Recommended.

Not as good as we have had previously. Expensive compared to other chippies nearby too. We were disappointed compared to our previous visits here.

Five friends & family from Devon & Penryn together to celebrate an early Christmas together. Wonderful convivial lunch - food was delicious with amazing portion sizes. It was excellent value for a four course meal & the young lady serving was a delight: very friendly & attentive. Got the festive period off to a lovely start.

We visited Castaways for lunch. We were the only ones in the restaurant and were shoved into a back corner with no view. We asked if we could move, as it was quiet, but were told that there were bookings and this wasn’t possible. We understood this and were happy to stay. However, 51 minutes later, nobody had sat at the table we had asked to move to—not until a clearly very regular couple came in and had their choice of where to sit in the very empty restaurant. It was clear that if you didn’t have that ‘click’ with the restaurant, you weren’t as privileged as others. That being said, the food was lovely, so our experience was a shame.

Have visited this cafe on several occasions but was so disappointed this time. As we stood inside the doorway, two members of staff came by, didn’t smile, didn’t greet us or ask if they could help. We found our own table. No veggie sausages available, replaced with tomatoes ? Way too many dogs inside. I am a dog lover but inconsiderate owners allowing their dogs to continue barking is not acceptable. Plenty of seating outside. Won’t be returning. A real shame as it’s in such a beautiful spot but customers deserve better.

Disfrutamos mucho de la comida aquí la semana pasada después de volver a Flushing de Falmouth en el ferry. Éramos los únicos en el restaurante, pero nos encontramos con un agradable, aunque ligeramente bienvenida reservada. Gran selección de mariscos con king Harry mejillones, una bouillabaisse, curry de pescado y marisco, así como pescado y patatas fritas y otras opciones. Nos encantó el hecho nuestro hijo de 7 años no fue presentada con un menú para niños de pizza, croquetas de pollo, etc. y pude elegir del menú principal o entrante. Ella escogió el plato de mejillones como el plato principal, y también disfrutamos de la bouillabaisse, que estaba lleno de peces y ella pescado. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran también excelente. También comimos en las siete estrellas y mi marido y mi hija también probamos el Royal Standard, que me dijeron que era excelente. El Waterside es más caro que tanto pero definitivamente vale la pena una visita.
