We turned up at midday when their breakfast offer was just finishing, which no one informed us of when we arrived at 12:04 we asked if we could have the offer and were told no. One staff member was very friendly, the more senior staff member not so much. Everything else is fairly expensive and the orange juice is extremely expensive for what it was. Won't be in a rush to return.

I’ve been many times and always enjoyed it but today I was really disappointed the lady waitress was very rude and needs to learn how to talk to customers, she must be new as I’ve not seen her before but just the way she talked to me in front of my family was not excitable, but the food was lovely,

The food is amazing and innovative. I'm vegetarian so I'm always excited when options suitable for me aren't an afterthought. I had the mushroom hash which was deeply flavourful and filling. As we were eating, the restaurant filled up which gave it a wonderful weekend vibe perfect for a Saturday brunch. I love this place and can't wait for warmer weather when we'll be able to sit outside.

Muddy Beach is in a good accessible location with views down the estuary. It's upbeat inside with outdoor seating for good weather. Service is friendly and efficient. Food is quality produce. My partner particularly liked his mushroom hash. I found the burger meat a bit gristly and would like it if it came with gherkin, love gherkin. It's a popular place to come. The Brunch menu is really impressive, maybe a bit more fruit things, but hey, this place is definitely 5/5. The location is fantastic (in Cornwall), the team was very pleasant, and the quality of the food was excellent. I had the Granola and fruit, my bro had the Muddy breakfast burger. (See photos.) I should also mention that the menu was available until 3.00pm, compared to a couple of other places in the locale that stopped serving breakfast at 10.00am(!!) / 11.30am. Who is even up on Sunday at 10.00am? The layout and decor of the restaurant were good. Go here to have a great brunch.

We first came across this fantastic cafe in Oct 2023 during a visit to Penryn. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. They went out of their way to adjust their menu so that we could enjoy a milk free meal for one of our party. We rarely ate out as many places can't accommodate this, or make you feel like you are being awkward. They restored our faith in eating out again. We visited twice last year and the food was fantastic. Its a lovely cafe with relaxing views over the harbour. We visited again this year for lunch and dinner and again the staff were so friendly and helpful and the chef adjusted a dish or two for us (which tasted so nice). The food is fresh and tasty and it tempts me to try new dishes which have all been great. I am already looking forward to our next visit on uni pick up weekend.

Food is a bit expensive but it's high quality and very tasty. Nice views over the estuary. Service was a bit weird. The sign at thr door says please wait to be seated, so we did. Despite staff acknowledging us, they didn't approach us or ask if we wanted to eat, so we ended up asking if we could sit down, and were told we could just sit wherever we like by a staff member who seemed rather bemused at the fact that there would be customers in a restaurant. Maybe she was new, not sure. We sat outside and, despite it being very quiet, no one came to us, even to ask if we wanted drinks, until we waved someone over. Service was polite but very handsoff - the food was dropped off and that was the last we saw of any of the staff until we paid. Was a bit of a strange experience, to be honest.

I have been here many times. The views are fantastic, overlooking Penryn River, loads of outdoor seating. Fair amount inside too and the decor is bright and cheerful. Friendly staff. Had coffee several times and it's great. I've had items off the brunch menu and the portions are quite substantial, depending on what you have and your personal opinion of a good portion, and some things are morw filling than others. I've also had the evening menu and the portions are decent too. All tastes great, but if you have a picky eater with you it may be harder to choose to something and you don't get "pub grub", a lot on the evening menu is fish based. I was disappointed when having the Heuvos to get a little bit of smashed avocado, as opposed to the slices I was expecting from social media pictures. If you want simple, this maybe isn't the place to go. Is it expensive? Tea and coffee are average, everything else does seem a bit more dear than other places (so for example, fish and chips costs more than other places I've been to for much the same thing) and sometimes it feels as though we've had to wait a long time. Can depend on how busy it is. I think a lot is prepared fresh and uses local ingredients, so it would take a bit more time. I'm guessing it costs more to have a prime location and this is reflected in the price. In summary, whether this is a good place to go depends entirely on the individual. If you want the views, if you're happy to pay a bit more and like brunch and fish based food, it's all good. Their cakes look good too!

Clearly you must be making truck loads of money because today nobody could be bothered to serve us. We arrived, found a table, settled down with our dog and settled him on his rug, my wife entered the cafe to see if there were any menus and to see what cake might be available, she noted that there was some cake there but seemingly no menus and returned to our table. During this time I noted three young women arrive and a young male staff member immediately appeared, provided them with menus and without looking in my direction, disappeared back inside. For several minutes, no other staff members came outside and so, being conscious of our limited parking time, I too ventured inside where I was met with your signs stating table service only and no menus to be seen. I returned to my table. Shortly after, a young lady member of staff approached the table next to us and took their order for food, she the then collected up their menus and without looking at us began to walk away back inside. I called after her for the menus and was told that “we are no longer serving food”. It was 2.34 on my phones clock, we had been waiting for some time. Being local and having been to your establishment on previous occasions, this experience has left us somewhat disillusioned. We took our custom elsewhere, where we were welcomed, felt welcomed and with whom we were more than happy to spend our money.

Not worth it. Poor service (though they tried) and average food for a high price is disappointing. Our coffees were served late and after our food. One plate came out hot and the server was holding with a towel - she handed it to my friend instead of putting it down. We had 3 occasions where food and drink was brought to us that we didn’t order. Food was under seasoned. Hollandaise tasted bland and from a jar. Could have done with a splash more acid. Bread was fine, but when paying £14 I felt a bit cheated. Generally just overpriced and not worth it despite the fact I’m sure they put the effort in.

First visit, noisy atmosphere, lovely view down the river, slightly disinterested waitress, coffee not hot but tasted ok. Avocado on toast with bacon was lovely as was the BLT and pancakes with fruit, shared slice of cake was a disappointment, stale and dry. Happy to return but give the cake a miss!

Excellent home cooked food, superb views and friendly and attentive staff. We were taking my aunt out for lunch and this was a perfect venue to catch up over some delicious food. (My only downside was the limited gluten free options on the menu)

Delightful cafe overlooking the river which l last visited some years ago under a different name I think. It's dog friendly and there is paid parking next to it at the traffic lights. Interesting menu (although the specials clipboard wasn't offered to us on a Sunday lunch time). We didn't want a big meal so I opted for the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, which wasn't cheap. As the picture shows it was immense and very good value. My lady opted for the even more expensive open steak sandwich and this cost the missing star. The steak was really good and there was plenty of it. However the bread was very hard to cut and the onions were just overwhelming and dominated the very large two piece open sandwich. Half of it with less onion and easier to cut bread we would happily have paid two thirds of the price for. My lady is hard of hearing so maybe tone down the music? Will happily return so well worth a visit

Fantastic coffee and pastries. An established business, doing well in what must be it's 9th year at least? Cool surroundings and decor too. Always worth a quick stop whilst out and about in the village.

Intimate bistro evening with Elliot the chef. Fun and informative demonstrating his skills and imaginative style. A “must do” if you are staying on St Martins.

I enjoyed one of the best coffees I've ever had here, which with friendly service and a fabulous view, must make this the best cafe in Falmouth.
