The Lemon Arms in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Stopping locally and found this gem on line booked early for 6.0pm. The Lemon was very quiet shown to our table and food and drinks ordered by the short time we had consumed our lovely 2 courses the place was very busy with the majority of tables full with diners. The Lemon Arms was a great find a bit off track but well worth a visit, great food great service and great atmosphere! Will return this week hopefully before we return home.

My husband and I were staying with my school friend of over 65 yrs Yvonne and Nigel Banyard and came to your lovely pub for Sunday Lunch which was absolutely lovely we live in Basingstoke and are coming down again next year and will definitely be coming back to your lovely pub thank you so much 👏👏

We have just had lunch and I can honestly say we have just had one of the best steak & ale pies and lasagna’s. The chips were also gorgeous. Friendly staff, locals, and they are also dog friendly. Definitely worth a visit for and I would highly recommend.

Food service and atmosphere all looked great. We only had time to stop for a pint but made a mote this was a pub to come back to. Great menu and real atmosphere at the bar. Real pub

Everything about this pub was brilliant! We rang last minute to book a table and even though they were very busy, managed to squeeze us in. When we arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile and shown to our table by lovely staff. I ordered the Steak and Ale pie and my wife the lasagne. OMG, the Steak pie was the best I've ever tasted (and we come from the Cotswolds where pies are king). Both meals with drinks and a pudding for £35, amazing value given the quality! The landlord was also very friendly with great conversation. Even our doggie enjoyed himself! All round a fantastic pub, will definitely be back and will recommend to friends. Well done guys! 😊

First time we've eaten here, and we were not disappointed. The food was all homemade and the steak and ale pie was amazing with so much meat. Definitely recommend a visit and we will be back again. Make sure you book as very busy.

My partner and I stopped in at Lemon Arms in Mylor Creek. The atmosphere waa welcoming. We chose a smooth Merlot with a Scrumptious Lasagna, served with crusty garlic bread and salad. Generous portions. A must visit

Fantastic meal, staff were amazing, we ate here last year while on holiday and had to come back again this year.

Wow highly recommend, this was a great pub find recommend by family members who recently came on holiday. Excellent range of foods friendly staff and excellent service, Will definitely be visiting here again next time we're on holiday.

I went with 7 friends. The staff were very friendly and kind. There were 2 disabled ladies in our party and we were able to manoeuvre the steps inside and the slopes outside. I thoroughly recommend this pub.

Had dinner tonight just got back, first class pub and grub. Good value for money.

Food took over an hour to arrive,service was slow,they short changed us,there was 6 of us and the bought out 3 mints ,when we mentioned this the waitress replied and I quote. We are limited in how many we can give out!!! On the upside the food was good,wouldn't go again.

Excellent for an evening meal with friendly staff

Food took a while to arrive and service between mains and deserts and even getting the bill was painfully slow. I ordered steak which was just ok, nothing amazing which is a shame as when you go out you expect the food to be better than what you can cook at home and the pub fell short on this occasion. The staff were a little hit and miss, some were happy and another was not very warming, seemed like they didn't want to be there and we didn't matter... I wouldn't rush back.

Had Mothers Day Lunch, had read all the reviews, so was looking forward to it. Firstly the staff are friendly and plenty of them, but OMG the food! It is all frozen, not homemade, can't believe they are not cooking fresh food as a basic? The man did say the veggie nut roast looks good, but he has never tried it, so I thought, that is a weird thing to say...then realised it is not made there! The pork was so fatty and hardly any meat, with a ton of sloppy food thrown on top. Extremely sweet, packet apple sauce... it was just so old fashioned. The menus and table were also dirty and the floor looked really grubby. The cutlery is so old and useless, I couldn't even cut the green veg that was on my old, faded plate. Then came the desert... he said the apple pie is really good. I received an apple pie you get in cheaper supermarkets, sloppy, covered in sugar, it was so cheap and really poor quality with non-homemade custard. £43.00 for 2 sloppy meals and one beer and one small soft drink, again the glass wear looks really old too. Needs a deep clean and a chef who can actually cook and not defrost or re-heat ready made meals...just so wrong in todays market. I have given 2 stars because there were plenty of staff and they were happy.

Great traditional pub on the circular Penryn - Mylor Bridge route. Perfect mid point stop. Visited lunchtime Friday and a nice scattering of chatting customers and a very friendly bar fly and bar staff. Didn't eat but the food that came out looked great. Oh and Dog friendly 👍🏻 and clean loos. Thanks 😊

Lovely little pub with a warm welcome for our tired legs on a big walk from Falmouth. The pub had only just opened when we arrived & was already bustling.

We had a takeaway for 5people 3 Fish and Chips and 2steak and ale pies It was all totally delicious .The fish was so fresh and tasty and the pie was the best taste ever . Thank you to the chef 5star Margaret Edwards Mylor

we had lunch here, chicken and mushroom pie, mash and peas. absolutely gorgeous. food was delicious, staff friendly and a cosy atmosphere. portions were generous and the prices just right. Will definitely return.

Disappointing Sunday roast. This is one of my favourite pubs, with friendly staff, a wood burner and good sensibly priced drinks, so I hate to leave a bad review. However the Sunday roast was really disappointing. What appeared to be a good plate of food, hid the meanest, stingyest amount of meat (3 tiny, thin slices of pork, which were half fat).... 3 bites and gone! At £11.50 it seems a good value roast, but I would rather pay a bit more and get a proper amount of meat, that doesn't leave me hungry.

We walked from Falmouth to Mylor and had a deserved lunch stop in the pub after getting soaked in a rain shower. Two beers later I had the steak and ale pie. I love pies and this one didn't disappoint- filled to the brim with beef (which was so tender). It was so tasty!

Popped in after visiting our boat down Mylor. What a fantastic little pub, staff very friendly and accommodating, atmosphere cosy and happy, food excellent. I had the salmon special and husband had sausage and mash special with garlic bread side. Menu traditional and fair price, will definitely be going back.

Popped in during Sunday lunch time,unsurprised to find fully booked for a roast, but they looked good! This pub is a great find, a real old fashioned pub that I was glad to see full of many generations of families.

Brilliant had my 50th here and going soon for my daughter's 30th would recommend

Excellent food as always. Prices are average, staff are friendly and warm welcoming. Plenty of space inside, wheelchair and pram friendly.

Very friendly and caring staff. Delicious, REAL homemade food, huge portions, not expensive at all. On Friday night, it was a bit noisy, but hey-ho, it was worth it. Definitely, we will come back. HIGHLY recommended. Thank you for the experience.

Friendly staff and good honest food

It's a proper local village pub, and therefore very busy on a Saturday night. If you're OK with that, come and enjoy the food, because it's really good, wholesome and tasty.

Great service, lovely staff, great steak pie, all reasonably priced.

Pub was cleanly and lively with a decent atmosphere. Car park and outdoor areas well tended. Reasonable selection of drinks Unfortunately, food was generally substandard. The bacon on the Cornish Burger was overcooked. The onion rings were undercooked and cold. The mash that came with my meal was devoid of flavour and wasn't even mashed properly.

Absolutely wonderful pub with great value food. We were staying locally and visited here many times. It was very dog friendly and serves wonderful food. Yasmine looked after us on our visits and she was brilliant. Would love this as a local pub and restaurant.

My Daughter and I enjoyed lunch at the Lemon Arms. Inside there was a good community feel. All the staff were friendly and helped us understand how they worked (every pub seems to be different, here they serve orders for meals at the table). Drinks were served virtually as we walked in and the food arrived quickly. Quality, quantity and value for money all in abundance with both servings. Drinks were topped up on demand and paying was painless both in the process and the amount! We will happily return.

A busy Sunday they found us a table and the 45 mins wait was well worth it. The mussels were out of this world and the beautiful warm crunchy bread was exceptional. Well worth the wait. Thank you

My partner and I both had the seafood linguine from the specials menu. It was excellent, lots of seafood and a delicious cream and white wine sauce. Not over seasoned which we like as we prefer to add more salt if necessary, l did but my partner didn't. Sadly we were too full to try one of the delicious sounding desserts, guess we'll have to go back :) Very friendly and attentive staff even though it was busy.

Good looking food when you eat on, we only had takeaway. Very good value on takeaway. What put me off going back, waitresses and bar staff making fuss of dogs, not washing hands then touching inside of glasses and food on plates.

Our Family were having a weekend away 3rd March to the 6th March and walked from Mylar to Mylar Bridge and called in to the Lemon Arms on the Saturday and booked for Sunday Roast 8 of us and 3 dogs were welcomed by the Staff and when the food turned up it was lovely all cooked well and plenty of it Well done to another Local Pub serving Good food and service at a very reasonable price The Barczok and Pitt’s family from Teignmouth

Lovely spot. Sandwich was exemplary.

Unfortunately, not the best Sunday roast. Over cooked beef, dish slightly wet, and food bland despite adding salt and pepper. Visited before, pre-pandemic and had a similar experience. Thought it was worth another try, but sadly had the same experience. Can't justify another visit sadly. Nice pub and friendly service though.

Wow! Just stopped here for a quick pint and lunch and although we had something simple like a jacket potato with prawns and a ham sandwich it was amazing. Doorstep chunky granary bread and ham with homemade coleslaw. Yum!!! Very reasonably priced too!

Had a lovely lunch here recently. Great food with generous portions and good service. Car park opposite the pub means there is no problem with convenient parking. I will be returning to try out more from the menu and specials board!

Five of us visited for a midweek meal. It was packed and booking was essential. Really good food, friendly staff, well worth a visit.
