If you are looking for Incredible fresh baked goods and wonderfully friendly and inviting people, this is where you need to go. This is the kind of foody haven you smell before you see and I urge you to follow your nose. Everything is made on site and the flavours are just awesome. Pasties, sausages rolls and pastries galore. The cheese straws are dangerously moreish and the Cherry Danish so delicious I ate one for breakfast every day for the 10 days we worked in polperro. Not to be missed!

The minute we walked in we were welcomed by the gentleman at the bar. He was genuine and extremely helpful. The food was excellent - we had the surf and turf. All freshly cooked and served with a smile. Highly recommend.

Popped in on the spur of the moment. Seated, great choice of beers, etc. Wide selection from the menu and specials board. Overall, can't fault it in any way. Sirloin steak, chips, etc was delicious and the apple crumble was superb. We've now found a new favourite pub...can't wait to try the Sunday roasts. āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø

We needed to charge our electric vehicle and get some lunch, so this was an ideal place to stop, just seconds off the A30. The pub is clean and fresh and the landlady was very welcoming. We had a nice chat with her and she was telling us about the improvements she has been making since taking over the pub a few months ago. Apparently, her son does the cooking and he is doing a great job. We ordered our steaks medium rare and they were perfectly cooked. The portions were generous and my wife appreciated that the meat in her steak baguette was moist and tender with no grissle. We also thought the prices were quite reasonable compared to other places we have visited in Cornwall. Their beers are well kept and I really enjoyed a pint of Sea Fury (my favourite Cornish ale). I would recommend this pub to anyone who wants to stop for lunch while travelling to mid-Cornwall or further west, but it is particularly useful to people who need to charge their electric vehicles. There are 2 75Kw contactless chargers in the car park. They are leased separately by Osprey, so there is no obligation to use the pub, but if you can time your journey to arrive when the pub is open, you can have a really enjoyable meal while your car is charging.

our easter was made popping into here. given it was a holiday weekend, the staff didnāt seem to mind being open at all, were incredibly friendly and helpful in discussing the flavours of the pasties available (which i must add, is a LOT - you wonāt be disappointed with the selection of salads, sandwich fillings, pastries and cakes), and to top it off even gave us an extra doughnut out of sheer kindness! itās a treat going to any MB bakery in Cornwall, but this one left a fab feeling in our minds and bellies when we left. we will be back! a must-visit when looking for a cracking pasty!
