The minute we walked in we were welcomed by the gentleman at the bar. He was genuine and extremely helpful. The food was excellent - we had the surf and turf. All freshly cooked and served with a smile. Highly recommend.

Just had half term holiday with all the family. Good simple food. Sunday roast meat from local farm and fresh veg all for just under £10. Kids meals are great as the kids can ‘build’ their own meal. One main part, a veg then option on jackets, chips, mash or salad. Included is a drink and ice cream. Steak night, depending on which steak you want, two steaks, two drinks start from £25. You get a great family welcome. It’s like being in the lounge of a large house. I know there is an upstairs for busy times, this wasn’t open in half term. John and the team can’t do enough. If you don’t want to eat in house, meals are available as take away.

Good value food served Friday, Saturday, Sunday in low season but open every night during the main school holidays. Children’s menu is great and they get their own colouring sheet with the meal options on one side. Our grandchildren love it. All the meat used is from a local farm, the steaks are unbeatable for flavour and cost. Well stocked bar, friendly staff and good food added bonus of safe children’s playground outside, what’s not to like. Sunday roast booking essential number different one trip advisor have. The number is 01209 313422. We wished we lived closer to use it more.

Very tasty chippie, freshly cooked and a good portion of fish as well as chips. Very friendly staff and food still hot and fresh when we got back to our digs.

We used the Aussie smoker for our work awards night. Adam’s communication was great throughout our booking and he accommodated for 130 people amazingly! Food was delicious. Thanks so much Adam for a fabulous evening!

Dined here on a reccomendation whilst visiting Cornwall to see friends. First thing to note was how busy it was. I was there around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Very busy diner for a busy road with nothing much around and no surprise. They had a very extensive menu which isn't always a good thing. From T-Bone steak, lasagne, salads, paninis. sandwiches, breakfasts, roasts and deserts. Every plate of food I saw come out from the kitchen was HUGE. I went for the Hungryman Breakfast at a little over £10. It was substantial to say the least and served on a massive oval plate as evidenced by the two side by side slices of perfectly cooked and non greasy fried slices. The whole thing really should have come with an emergency phone number - 999, it was that big. Everthing on the plate was top draw in quality and taste. I particulary liked the Hogs Pudding (those 3 brown things in the pic). I didn't have a single gripe. My friend did however. He had the mixed grill, which although good on taste defeated him as all the meats were too tough to be acceptable in my opinion.. I'd rate his choice at a 2 out of 5 for that reason.

Calling this place a café is misleading, it's so much more. We should have booked but friendly staff found us a table. Great food and service and the place was buzzing! Really recommend!
