Nice coffee, food and service in pleasant surroundings. The town is a little small but has a very old church with interesting Norman architecture.

A lovely pub in a fantastic location. Perfectly situated for a Sunday lunch and a long walk. The staff were super accommodating and attentive and the roast dinner was incredible. The beef was perfectly cooked and I was pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of roasted beetroot! However, the absolute stand out is the potatoes. They are arguably the best roast potatoes I have ever been served in a pub/restaurant. Additionally, the pigs in blankets starter was amazing. Although the roast is on the pricier side for a pub lunch there is absolutely no doubt that it is value for money. I have been recommending this place to everyone.

To whom this may concern First off I would like to thank you for a great roast. 29/12/24 (my birthday meal). Unfortunately on arrival half an hour early, my mum and her partner were refused a drink and an offer to be seated at the bar while they waited. as they arrived half an hour early prior to our booking at 3.30pm They felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome, they were even told to sit and wait in their car! We understand you are a small venue but this was just 2 people! As you can imagine when I arrived they were upset about this and it caused an awkward situation. This ruined the experience for us all and I have left feeling very disappointed, and on my birthday may I add once more. We will not be coming back and I will not recommend this place for any type of event to my friends. We live in the area and feel completely let down by you. Our bill was over £400 including service charge which quite frankly you do not deserve. I will copy and paste this to your website. I recommend you make changes in order for someone else in the future to not feel so let down by you as we did. Regards Abbie

Chew Moos has fantastic quality ice cream in a place which entertained children. There is a playground with a fort and slide where the kids can play. There's some small push along vehicles and a track for them. There's a football goal where they can run off some steam. There's picnic tables and a nearby toilet. There are some goats and pigs and small horses to look at. There's parking for about 12 cars. The ice cream is of amazing quality. The flavours are rich and sweet and use their own creamy milk. Outstanding for me was their plain Guernsey milk ice cream which was smooth and had an incredible glamour, though they had many others to choose from including chocolate, strawberry, dark cherry and chocolate, limoncello, bubblegum, marshmallow. You can buy their creamy milk from their vending machine, though it should be noted that if you haven't brought your own bottle it's £2 for a glass bottle. This is a lovely place to visit for good quality ice cream, and kids will be entertained by the other things too

Freshly cooked and much nicer than the one in Bristol. The takeaway is much better, when we had takeaway it was fresh tasty and hot. When we are in the restaurant the mushy peas were cold. The service was pleasant but strange. I'll recommend the takeaway only.

Used to love the food here, put havent been for some time. Ordered 2 lots of large Cod and chips, i assumed when they were dishing it up that they had given me a Cod bite in each meal. I said i'd ordered large cod, and the lady looked taken aback.. I also ordered 2x battered sausages, The batter would always be nice thick and crispy, but this time it looked like the sausges had been dunked in milk!! The curry sauce although tasty, was more like a very runny gravy. You now have to pay for the tartar sauce (that used to be free) you longer get a slice of lemon. So 2x Very small cod and chips, 2x horrible very lightly battered sausges, 1x tiny tartar sauce, and a small runny curry sauce was £33 Wont be going back, ever.
