Lovely and kid friendly cafe, yummy affordable food and great customer service! Went above and beyond for my little girl on her 5th birthday and very welcoming :)
Fantastic restaurant, we were greeted with a smile , the waitress for very pleasant and helpful, the gluten free options were brilliant, I had cod and chips , it was very tasty.
The children loved the indoor play area and the games room with a PlayStation 5, x box , gaming computer and tv for films for was huge suprise.
We would definitely re visit this restaurant in the future.
Upon our arrival at The Bedford, having reserved a table for a Wednesday lunch, we noticed the restaurant was quite empty. The festive ambiance, considering the time of year, was minimal, limited to a lone Christmas tree. Our orders were promptly taken, and the food arrived within an acceptable time frame. While the portion of fish and chips (£15 at the time of writing ) was generous, the cod lacked the expected flakiness, suggesting it might have been frozen and defrosted, resulting in a somewhat flavorless experience. The smoked haddock risotto, described as having a cheese glaze, arrived with normal long-grain/basmati rice submerged under a thick layer of cheese, exhibiting an unpleasant texture and taste. Although the hostess inquired about our meals, she left before we could provide comprehensive feedback. No other patrons arrived during our visit, and, regrettably, we don't plan to return in the near future
I went this morning for a breakfast with my 2 year old. Had the best eggs Benedict that I’ve had in many years. My boy had the porridge which was so tasty, I had to finish his off as couldn’t let it go to waste. I also ordered a cappuccino which was top quality. The lad that served us was polite, attentive and the food was quick to come out. Hands down a 10/10 experience. Will be back and also recommended to friends and family.
Delicious fresh pizza, and offer home delivery, but quite expensive. The make your own is quite good value. Usually quick delivery.
Quite traditional, thin crust, nice tomato sauce and not swimming in oily cheese. Just the right balance
We've been here a few times over the last 18 months as it's a beautiful spot; English countryside at its very best.
The food has always been reasonably priced and tuna melts with salad and crisps perfect.
It seems now the ownership/management as changed.
We visited yesterday and paid £12.50 for a basic ham and pickle sandwich! £12.50!! Just a few salad leaves on the side. Two pieces of bread and a slice of ham. We only had one, £25 for two sarnies would be ridiculous. Tuna melts aren't served anymore.
The young guy serving had a cough, very off-putting.
When did a basic sandwich become so expensive?!
We won't be going back, so many other beautiful places to choose from.
The best scone I have ever tasted! Lovely fresh produce, a very friendly and super efficient lady serving and the quality of everything we bought was outstanding. It was all so fresh. Highly recommend and the prices were reasonable.
After visiting this cafe on numerous occasions (following our dog walks at Beckhampton) and receiving excellent service & food, I am extremely disappointed to say that today wasn't one of them.
We ordered x2 toasted sandwiches & x2 pots of tea.
Our tea came out within a few minutes of ordering. Our toasties came out approximately 35 - 40 minutes later, and by this time we'd drunk our tea!
I'd asked the young lady serving if we could have a refund for the toasties as we'd been waiting an age for them. In addition 2 gentleman bikers had been served their meals. the same 2 bikers who'd arrived and ordered their food some 20 or so minutes after us. Literally 10 seconds after asking for a refund, our toasties magically appeared! Brought to out table by the owner nonetheless.
The MOST DISAPPOINTING thing about the whole episode is that we did not even receive an apology for the length of time we'd had to wait. In fact, not a word was said as the toasties were placed on the table in front of us.
I'd consider us as pretty regular customers of this establishment, and ones who were looking forward to the new diner opening next Summer. However, today's debacle has somewhat jeopardised whether we'll even bother visiting the cafe again.
If the owner thinks this is good customer service, I suggests he finds an alternative business.
We were staying in Fairford and have a baby so wanted something quick and easy that we could eat whilst she slept. We had this on night one with the intention of getting fish and chips the second night. The pizza was so good we ended up going back here the second night and getting wraps and we were not disappointed that time either. Piping hot, great portions, good price and everything tasted fresh. All you could ask for from a kebab and pizza place and more!
Beautiful, 'naked' style 50th birthday cake decorated with silk flowers. It was admired by all, tasted lovely and the flowers now make a beautiful centrepiece placed in a complimentary coloured shallow bowl.
The landlord had a foul mouth and a bad attitude. We all LOVED IT would recommend to all that like a good choice of ales and a knees up. God rest you Eileen and Joyce Scum
Visited as a party of 5 , we wanted a relaxed evening and that was what we had, all had build a burger which was nice tobe able to choose own food, boards could do with being slightly bigger, build your own desert nice as well.
