The landlord had a foul mouth and a bad attitude. We all LOVED IT would recommend to all that like a good choice of ales and a knees up. God rest you Eileen and Joyce Scum

A fantastic local ale house that offered a incredible selection of quality ales, craft lagers and local ciders. The service was friendly and fast, with the whole ambience being upbeat and pleasant. Could do with a bit of work on the smoking area and perhaps some new seating. Overall , a great place that offered something for everyone, including a pool table and exceptional music.

The friendliest pub to go too. The staff makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in you are made to feel like one of the family. A great selection of real ales and cask ciders which if your not sure which to pick you can have a taste before you buy would highly recommend a visit

As a lover of the occasional real ale or three I've had a growing appreciation of this place over the last year and it continues to surprise and delight. Mark and his team are doing a fantastic job with the place, service and, most importantly, the beer and cider selection. Without fail you can turn up and will be greeted with an awesome array of choices, all well kept and available to drink in or take away. Absolutely brilliant to have a place like this on our doorstep. Keep up the good work, guys... you're nailing it! :)

Great beer what ever your choice, its an alternative bar to the big pub chains and Mark the Landlord works hard towards that, an excellent choice of ales, changing almost daily, if your tipple has run out ask for a taste, there is always an alternative, great landlord gets to know everyone and family working with him, old fashioned values making this a great place to relax, no TV screens but old fashioned pub games, themed nights etc, has agreements with the local takeaways and they deliver in, recommend the catnip chips from next door!!!

In this pub on a Friday night around 8pm. Really good selection of beers and a happy vibe. Unfortunately there was a woman in her twenty’s who had a baby of approx. 9-12 months old in a pram, and she was absolutely off her face! She could barely stand and yet she was served beer!!! Her baby managed to turn itself around and nearly fell out it’s buggy, she could not have stopped it if she tried. This event has really spoiled what should have been a good visit to this pub. Surely the staff should be aware and willing to send someone in this state on their way?!?!?!

Not much to look at from the road but goes back a long way instead. Bit of a job accessing the bar due to people leaning on it and not going away after being served. Quite a few in there for mid afternoon including the usual benefits thieves p****ng our money up the proverbial wall. Very impressive selection and reasonable prices I’d definitely return.

My good lady and I were recommended this bar... mostly upon my love for good craft ale and a great pub. We were not disappointed. Mark Ambrose is not only an incredibly friendly host, but extremely knowledgable on his craft and only too happy to help no matter what the need. The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming (a far cry from the modern day ignorant attitudes). This pub is exactly what is needed... exceptional ales, amazing service, professional platitudes... and an outstanding atmosphere. Thank you for what I'm sure will be amongst a number of visits from us.

Large choice 8 real ales. Many Ciders. Changing all the time. Light to Dark. British and Foreign. 4% to 8% + higher. Priced on strength. Luckily on a good regular bus route. 🍺

If you like real or craft ale this is a good place to visit, they have so many beers & ciders on at any one time that it makes it difficult to decide which to have. All beers are kept really well & ever changing due to its wide ranging beers, there is are nearby bus stops going into Poole or Bournemouth. M1 or M2. The do not serve food themselves but there is a Chinese Takeaway next door so it’s not unusual to find patrons having a beer & Chinese meal, sometime the owner will do a ‘Special’ which is generally a beer & chines for a set price, it’s hard to beat as an offer. There are pool tables & dart boards, plus I believe a skittle alley.

Had a light lunch here today. Campese Bagel and Quiche with a Mediterranean Salad - Excellent. It was quite busy inside and outside, but we didn't have to wait long for our food.
