The Twilight Lounge in Forest of Dean

Visited as a party of 5 , we wanted a relaxed evening and that was what we had, all had build a burger which was nice tobe able to choose own food, boards could do with being slightly bigger, build your own desert nice as well.

Generally poor. The outside of the place looks awful. Rundown, broken walls, no proper signs. The food was ok but decor is an odd mix of things, the chairs are uncomfortable and the toilets are dire. They’ve obviously spent some money here but not enough to finish any of the jobs properly it seems.

**** First of all the PROS: - nice hearted down to earth helpful staff. - delicious food! - cool concept to build your burger etc **** The CONS: - very tricky parking - decor in places goes past being quirky dated and actually just cheap dated - the cocktails were wayyyy too weak for the price - the preordered food took far too long to come out. The rating reflects how I found these to balance against each other…some clear fixes in their hands and would be good to see as the food is gorgeous once it’s arrived!

Absolutely fantastic breakfast. Staff were super friendly and made the whole experience really enjoyable. Can’t wait to eat here for my birthday next week. Well done twilight gang. This restaurant is a refreshing change and the setting is stylish and relaxing 😍 my new favourite place. X

We have just come back from the most amazing meal at The Twilight Lounge. It’s lively, modern, fab music. The customer service was 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Now over to the food…..what a wonderful idea, build your own, you order what you love. I had the build a burger (I don’t like classic beef burger), so I opted for the chicken fillet burger-amazing! The birthday girl had a veggie burger, which was delicious. My younger daughter had the childrens beef burger, which was proper beef burger!!! Now I go onto the puddings-build your own-I’m not saying anymore, just wonderful. Go try them you will not be disappointed!!!! Special thanks to Si, Emma, & Amy Leigh.

The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. 10/10 recommended.

eaten here a few times now , the food is amazing well cooked tasty and reminds me of home cooked food love it - i can highly reccomend it to anyone looking for some damn tasty grub with a service that makes you feel like a friend

Last night was one of very many visits as a family we also had some friends with us we where seated straight away and ordered drinks while the lady got our drinks another gave us the menus drinks came really fast we ordered food and when it came it was great we had a small child with us and they brought our child's food a few mins before our which is great as kids don't eat fast iam very fussy with how my steak is done and it came out perfect we did order deserts and as they where full they had run out of the first choice but was not a problem as I struggled with picking between 2 so it helped make my mind up so I had waffles which was really nice we had a lovely meal and drinks and we where served quick for food and drinks which I thought that we would have a wait as they where full with 2 really big tables would we go again that is a defo yes our child never eats all her meals but here she eats the lot and has pudding all the team r fantastic and if its a quiet night which is ot very often u always get to meet the owner and I love the fact the chef always comes over to check the steak I order is how I like it please if u r passing pop in ad have a meal u won't be disappointed

Me and my daughter who is 7 visited the twilight lounge for our little date night and the food here was amazing my daughter had 2 of there milkshakes as they where the most nicest milkshakes she has ever tasted. The food was all fresh and tasted delicious. The staff were all amazing and so friendly. We loved it that much we are going back next week again. High recommend you visit this restaurant it definitely worth it and you will come away with a full belly and happy. 😍🥰🥰😍🥰😍🥰

Once again we return to this restaurant with yet another fabulous meal. Food was delicious and good service well worth a visit to make your own minds up. Burgers are especially good along with dessert s if you can fit it in. Keep supplying food of this quality and I will keep returning.

We've visited the twilight lounge a number if times since they opened, the food is always beautiful, fantastic atmosphere, really quirky. And my kids absolutely love the build your own aspects of the menu. Brilliant addition to the village and will definitely be a regular for us. We received a warm welcome on arrival from Karl. The food was lovely, and the portion sizes are very generous. Starters: we chose breaded mushrooms with garlic mayo, leek and potato soup and a prawn cocktail. Everyone enjoyed what they had. Mains: Roast Beef and a Roast Pork, plenty of meat, roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding and a stuffing ball. Dishes of vegetables and extra gravy is brought out. Sweets: Malteser cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake and a syrup sponge. Just like the starters and mains the sweets are lovely. Definitely worth a visit.

A warm welcome awaited us on arrival. We were shown to our table and the waiting staff were very attentive. Starters: we had crispy breaded mushrooms, salad and garlic mayo, prawn cocktail and a homemade soup, leek and potato. Everything was very nicely presented and tasted lovely. Mains: roast beef and one person had roast pork, the plates were lovely at hot and foot was well presented. Terrines of vegetables came out along with extra gravy. The portions are large and the food was lovely. Sweets: we had strawberry cheesecake, malteser cheesecake and a syrup sponge. Just like the starters and mains we thoroughly enjoyed them. Definitely worth a visit and would recommend.
