Lovely village pub. Stayed here while on a cycle trip from London. Highly recommend! Comfortable room, great food and very friendly and helpful staff. I had to leave my bike outside for a few hours and when I returned to it, I found that they had protected the seat from the rain with a plastic bag and cloth - without me even asking them to!

Great breakfast today. Decided to skip the full welsh and opted for the avocado and poached eggs on sourdough. Perfectly poached. Had 2 lattes so on a bit of a coffee high at the moment. Waitress kindly gave me a small jug of hot milk to add to them. The rainbow cake looked fantastic, hope it’s still on the menu next week. Love this place.

Excellent food! What looks like a traditional style pub, where you can get a pint and watch the tv or sit an enjoy a nice Indian meal is a good alternative to the usual pub grub. We were only passing by and glad we popped in. I would definitely recommend it for a eating.

This café is such a great place to go have breakfast with your friends and family!! In my opinion the Turkish Borack is my favourite!! You need to go to Daisy love because I love it!

This place was quite splendid. No joke, one of the best pubs I’ve ever been to. Amazing atmosphere and if you want the best Long Island Ice Tea in Guildford, Rio is your guy. Rio gave the recommendation after my friend Tyler, who has special needs, asked for the best drink he could make. He certainly didn’t disappoint! We had nothing like before. 10/10 recommend, and if you do go, please give Rio a round of applause for the Long Island ice tea. You’ll know once you have it.

This was our fifth visit since it has been upgraded by the new management. Food is lovely, but when the sun shines, the service and length to wait for food to arrive is poor! Arrived at 1.30 pm for a booking in the restaurant and waited until 3.00 for starters and mains at 4.00. Everyone was waiting for food in the restaurant for orders, as they seem they cannot cope with the restaurant, bar and then the added garden orders when the sun shines. It is disappointing that this has not improved since our last visit in June. The staff are good and keep apologising but when you have had a nice walk with children, they are hungry.

Last day of August. Have been to the Lockdown Lodge on several occasions. Makes for a pleasant 3 mile walk with a boat taxi parked up to take you back to Henley if you wish. Decent food, bar and toilets in a superb setting. Unfortunately this weekend we were walking past an empty field when one of our group asked whether it much further. The realisation dawned that the lodge had been disappeared into another dimension with only Google maps insistence that it was still open as proof that it had ever existed. Dear Lockdown Lodge management, please update your Google status. Giving you 2 stars for the memory, would have been 4 had you been open.

This is a well maintained, clean and comfortable accommodation with nicely decorated rooms, great staff, and beautiful flowers outside. I would note that the lighting in the room and bathroom is fairly low and the only outlet in the bathroom is for an electric razor. Also, the bathtub is on the higher side with no grab bars which can be a challenge for those of us who are getting older. There could be more area for storage in the bathroom for personal products. We would definitely recommend this motel and stay there again. There were several options for breakfast and it was delicious and the service was fantastic!

Quirky wee pub with the ceiling covered in steins and jugs. Very friendly atmosphere! Lively dog on the premises as well 😊

Went for Sunday lunch with friends at 1pm a really lacklustre experience. Not busy at all which should have been the first warning sign. Very average food and service at high prices for a Sunday roast so will not be returning. The whole restaurant was absolutely freezing and not very welcoming. Really disappointed as had read reviews which made it sound really fantastic. Follow on following Matts reply - Yes I am completely sure it is you as the other restaurant with the name Angel in the title is on the bridge and you are just before the bridge on the right hand side as you cross into the town of Henley. Not saying heating was or wasn't on but door to outside in the conservatory where we were sitting was wide open and we asked for it to be closed. Considering this was a Sunday lunchtime at 1PM there were very few people in the restaurant - lots of empty tables. One large party and a few couples.

Fab location on riverfront, sadly the weekend staff lack an understanding of customer service - I have never ever been told an item costs ' a quid' instead of a pound in the UK - dire and terrible. I know teenagers can be surly and short but please, do not put them in front of customers, if they cannot use grammar correctly. I have worked in customer service all my life and HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD my drink costs 2 'quid', not even a please ! Maybe at a fairground or a market, but not in an establishment such as as this in a yachting marina ! First and last visit. Shame as I would have recommend this place.
