Great breakfast today. Decided to skip the full welsh and opted for the avocado and poached eggs on sourdough. Perfectly poached. Had 2 lattes so on a bit of a coffee high at the moment. Waitress kindly gave me a small jug of hot milk to add to them. The rainbow cake looked fantastic, hope it’s still on the menu next week. Love this place.

It’s been sometime since I’ve visited. The service was very good and it was extremely busy at lunchtime. Menu has a good choice. We just had mains which were very tasty and served promptly and came to the table hot. The fish pie was delicious with a good amount of chunky fish. I was impressed. Will certainly return.

Stayed here with a group of friends for a 70 th birthday get together. Rooms are really good and a nice pub . Open log fire ,good food friendly staff . Nothing near the pub it’s a bit remote ,but we spent a nice evening / morning just at the pub . Quality ingredients in the breakfast and well cooked.

First time back at what used to be an old favourite- 6 ladies who meet up for lunch monthly. Totally spoilt by an unrestrained DOG who peed on one of our handbags! ! Can you believe the selfishness of the dog owners and also the LA management who allow dogs into a food environment?! Needless to say we won’t be returning, plenty of other places to choose from.

We decided on an early impromptu Valentines dinner after a very busy week at work. Despite how early we were and not made a reservation, we were welcomed kindly and promptly found a table which was set up nicely for Valentines. We ordered the Chateaubriand which was really delicious and a great sharing option with plenty to go around, including some meat left over which we took home for the dog, which they kindly wrapped for us! Good value for money. Will was our waiter, and he was excellent, attentive and friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable meal on a night when you can often be ripped off due to its commercial status, thank you to G&D team, saved me cooking and my partner and I enjoyed a lovely evening.
