The best restaurants in Thanet South East

I went to two Beano cafes while I was in the area. I found the one in Broadstairs poor; but this one was terrific. Beano isn't a chain, as such, but more a set of individual businesses. So that must explain it. The big difference was that the chefs in the Ramsgate one really knew how to cook an English breakfast. There's an art to it and they nailed it. In particular, the food was piping hot, and the two over-easy eggs were served perfectly runny. Also the two hash browns were deliciously crisp, not soggy. Even the tea was bang on. Only let down was the catering-level sausage. They were quite busy, a good sign, with groups of locals and workmen in. The cafe's not on the seafront; but it's a good place to stop for breakfast if you're walking, like I did, down to the western seafront from the station. Prices are good value.

Friends have told us about Chicken Stop and how perfect 🤩 your meal is prepared and presented. First try and I was amazed chicken cooked beautifully absolutely delicious will be back for more after Christmas 🎅. Amazing .

Lovely little cafe with really friendly welcoming staff. We went for the Manze’s pie and mash. Lovely pies, well cooked so crispy on top and soft underneath, chock full of meat. We’ll definitely be back.

Hands down the BEST Fish and Chips in Margate!

A lovely spot for a pint and a wonderful Sunday Dinner. The portions were generous and well prepared.

Caribbean fare in a wood floored bistro. Excellent jerk chicken with plantain, peas and rice and a just-right sauce to pour on the heat. Plus a side of Mac ‘n’ Cheese. All good to eat, and good value.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Ordered a full English which was lovely and like how the beans / mushrooms were in separate pots to add too meal ❤️ also ordered a burger and chips the burger was the best I've ever had !.. service was brilliant too and noithing was too much trouble.. very friendly ❤️ was great to find out they was supporting local businesses with produce too 😊

Went with my parents as we had a voucher to spend from my sister and was close to running out. We were all sceptical about going on a Monday, let alone, the day after Mother’s Day! We arrived at 1230 expecting the restaurant to be only ours. It was quite busy-steady considering the date. The menu was small but had unique and classic dishes available. It was very reasonably priced. 3 course menu for £22.50 A small supplement for the sea bream which my parents had. All the food was superb, we had a lady called Amy who practically served the whole restaurant on her own but Henry helped out too. It’s the first time I’ve EVER found a high standard restaurant in Thanet

A Margate establishment different from the new wave of trendy overpriced eating places. Well cooked, variety of dishes. Friendly service. Some of the interior showing its age. Just one thing…the toilets. Surely no need for covid signs still to be in place with rather strange tatty instructions?

The best turkey restaurant on thanet

Our family stopped in for lunch while on holiday in Margate. Our server was incredibly kind and friendly. Our drinks and food were all SOOO delicious! I got the loaded hashbrowns and a matcha and both were so wonderful! All our kids and my husband really enjoyed their meal and looking at records upstairs! Oh! And the turmeric bun was so fabulous too! Highly recommend Cliffs!

There's always a lovely warm welcome at Westgate Fish n chip shop. Staff are very friendly, and take time to chat. Being offered a small sample of chips whilst waiting is lovely. The fish last night was fantastic, really good quality and well priced. I would fully recommend you eat here!
