I went to two Beano cafes while I was in the area. I found the one in Broadstairs poor; but this one was terrific. Beano isn't a chain, as such, but more a set of individual businesses. So that must explain it. The big difference was that the chefs in the Ramsgate one really knew how to cook an English breakfast. There's an art to it and they nailed it. In particular, the food was piping hot, and the two over-easy eggs were served perfectly runny. Also the two hash browns were deliciously crisp, not soggy. Even the tea was bang on. Only let down was the catering-level sausage. They were quite busy, a good sign, with groups of locals and workmen in. The cafe's not on the seafront; but it's a good place to stop for breakfast if you're walking, like I did, down to the western seafront from the station. Prices are good value.

Delicious roast chicken meal on Sunday! Plenty of lovely chicken, vegetables, roast potatoes, gravy and an added bonus of a Yorkshire pudding. The staff are very friendly and keep this cafe spotlessly clean.

No surprises here - it is what it says it is - a cafe, serving what cafes do i.e teas, coffee and basic breakfast items etc. Good for what it is.

Service was terrible staff did not seem to care at all, just stood around chatting, could not be bothered to wait on the tables or bring cutlery over, made me wait till food was delivered before bringing a glass over will not be using again. No wonder there was only three other people in the place on a Friday lunchtime !!

A good cafe for breakfast or all day meals. Plenty of choice mix and match your own items for breakfast. Sandwiches, rolls, baguettes with a wide choice of fillings also and other food pies available. Great value.

A nice spot to stop for a hot or cold drink and ice cream. The service was good and we although not playing at the time of our visit we believe music is played here at various times.

Went for lunch with a friend Have been here before for tea and cake Sat at a table in the sun decided to move when one with a sun shade became free as I got up my brand new trousers caught on 2 prices of the plastic wicker chair that had come losses and were sticking out. I hadn't noticed this when sitting down as I couldn't pull the chair out fully due to lack of space. My trousers were damaged. I informed the waiter who just said sorry, and he would remove the chair. This wasn't done until as we left, I told another member of staff. If I had had bare legs, I would have had a nasty cut. We ordered jacket potato with chilie and salad. Which was quite nice . However my friends coffee was cold. Informed the same male member of staff who said the machine was playing up he took the cup and returned the same half drunk coffee to the table it had obviously just been put in the microwave. Sadly, I now have a damaged pair of trousers that I will have to pay to be mended, and we were not even given a full cup Of fresh coffee. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Watery ice cream - yuck. Unfortunately I think the proprietors forgot to add the ice cream powder to the liquid today. Within 30seconds of having the cones the “ice cream” was melting and it was very watery tasting. It is advertised as Jersey ice cream which surely means it should be creamy?

The QC is a super, traditional pub tucked away in a historic little street in Ramsgate. It is very quirky, friendly, and atmospheric. Well worth a visit for a good pint of Ale.
