My husband I visited Humphrey’s for our anniversary. The menu for vegetarian was so disappointing. The items on the menu were a mismatch , there was no specific cuisine type. I ordered the pea and mint soup as a starter. I had to ask for Salt and pepper as there was no seasoning . I couldn’t taste the mint and the soup was gritty. It was not smooth. Perhaps it was not meant to be, but seasoning should of been there. When the waitress asked how it was, I was honest and said it was not great . Her response “ ok” ! My main was chosen from their main menu, rather than the vegetarian menu ( as it was not enticing) I chose the mushroom risotto. The waiter told me that they can make the risotto vegetarian friendly (without Parmesan) . The dish arrived and Again no seasoning. I thought it was me being pickey, so I asked my husband to try abs he agreed , it was flavourless. I asked the waiter if they can add seasoning. He told me that due to no Parmesan the taste will be pretty much the same. You think being a fine dining restaurant they would have vegetarian alternatives to parmigiana cheese ( even I have in my fridge ). I then asked not to bother to remake with seasoning and thought maybe something from the vegetarian/ vegan menu will be better. I chose the spaghetti in tomato sauce. I was better of not ordering it and eating the bread. It was something a child would eat. If an Italian came To eat this , they would be appalled. I ate 1/4, out of politeness. I didn’t say anything, as at this point I just wanted to hurry up and leave. Final course chocolate fondant ... finally something that was great. I wish I had just gone straight to the dessert . When the bill came, I couldn’t believe that my tasteless meal cost £68. How can spaghetti in some tomato sauce cost £22. I have had some amazing simple pasta in fine dining Michelin star restaurant and willing to pay high price. But this, as I said is something a child would get at school. Also my husbands food was great , crab, prawns to start and halibut for main. That I understand to £68, but for vegetarian it was ridiculous. Even in Michelin star restaurant, the set menus or tasting veg menu is a little cheaper , so this place is just taking advantage. Vegetarian/ vegan food has come a long way and many chefs have learnt the art to take a vegetable and turn it into a incredible meal. This place has clearly not adopted this and think serving some spaghetti in tomato sauce with no seasoning is fine dining! Even other items on the veg menu didn’t look great. If you are vegetarian/vegan, do not eat here. Plus side, deserts were great and main menu was good ( according to my husband)

Over the last few visits we've noticed that the prices have escalated and they've cut costs on prawn crackers and complimentary chocolates and hot towels. Even allowing for inflation, we didn't expect to pay £25 for two pots of hot water and two spoonfuls of Jasmin tea (you could by a small plantation for that). There are equivalent quality Chinese restaurants in the area (Little Chalfont being one). the equivalent meal would be 20-30% cheaper, or better still go to china town and get stunning food (still cheaper than here). Or just go to the wholesaler Hoo Hing in Park Royal, buy a wok, and cook your own (even Dim Sum). Shan't be going here again.

Fernando, James, Emily and team are just exceptional. The bar and restaurant was buzzing and the team were just offering up an exceptional service to the guests. We live close by and call ourselves extremely fortunate to be a local to this great place.

We were entertaining friends from Australia for a few days and thought this quintessential English home / experience would hit the mark. Started - Hardly a warm welcome on arrival . Had to look for staff in entrance hall and when we informed lady at desk that we had lunch reservation she seemed surprised and said she would find someone who would help us with pre lunch drinks. Then got back to the pc. Lunch choices started with prawn cocktail. Small / tiny prawns with one large unpeeled on top of basically lettuce and a few others bits of salad . Very uninspiring. Roasts selection was made by 3/4 of us . Very basic - only cauliflower cheese seemed to exceed expectations . Local pub would have surpassed the main lunch. Wine mega over priced . Basic rose (2021 whispering angel )priced £ 20 in Sainsbury’s at £88 plus service charge, crazy . At least it arrived with ice bucket as also wasn’t that chilled on arrival . Our overall experience was so disappointing . Our guests enjoyed the view but £700 for 4 for Sunday lunch was not great value and we won’t be back or recommend.

What a wonderful host Massimo is, he always gives you such a warm welcome and what a talented team he has front of house and in the kitchen. We were four generations at the table and the menu caters for each age group. It was hard to get past the delicious warm homemade bread with olive oil and rosemary but three baskets later we did! Fabulous food, best pasta eaten almost in silence, an extensive wine list, stylish decor, real linen and great stories too -we can’t wait to return! Thank you xx

Lovely restaurant, great service, good food, nice atmosphere and reasonable price. I had the tagliatelle bolognaise and it was so tasty, the house white wine, a Sicilian one, was also extremely nice, and our waitress was so helpful and friendly. We had a lovely experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Great place, which has so much potential but needs new staff as their behaviour indicates they hate being there. Once you know their rules (I’ll list below) it can be a pleasant visit as you can avoid the people entirely and enjoy a nice drink, unless it’s a Latte….. Follow these top tips: Don’t ever pronounce latte incorrectly. Ask the man how to say it and then repeat as required. Don’t ask for a cheese and egg toasted sandwich the wrong way round. Read the order verbatim from the menu, that’s how he likes it. Don’t ask to use the toilet unless you have physical evidence of a purchase from the cafe in your hands. Although taking a sandwich to the toilet is not ideal, it’s saves you being gaslit whilst being desperate for the loo. Read all signs before entering the premises, even the ones you can’t see. Talk about the country of India, he’ll be putty in your hands. NEVER ask for a high chair, you’ll be sent to exile. Stick to these rules and you’ll avoid any psychological damage that would occur otherwise. Hope this helps others who are wishing to visit! I’d say it’s worth it, especially if you thrive off breaking the rules!

I use to live in the area and use to go here for breakfast/lunch a lot as it was amazing!! however I recently went back, I was disappointed, it’s very average now, nothing special to be fair for what it costs, I would advise just going to a normal cafe. Poached eggs were snotty (this is why I loved this place), the muffins were tough, £4.50 cinnamon bun was so hard we had to get it warmed up and still after we didn’t eat very hard just warmed, Staff still lovely. But just not what it once was.

This is my favourite Thai restaurant. The food is delicious, fresh and expertly cooked. I particularly love the fish cakes and fish and prawn dishes. You also can’t go wrong with their green curry too. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. It’s tucked down a side street so easy to miss, but you should definitely find it and go here.
