The food is tasty, and the prices are very affordable, but be prepared for a wait. The poppadoms are a must, as they’re the only thing you’ll get to eat in the first hour. If you’re not in a rush, it’s a good spot for a budget-friendly meal—just don’t come too hungry!

Very very good Nepalese food . I been to Nepal and this food is very very similar to what’s cooked back home so 5 stars for that alone aswell as the family/warm feeling you receive from as soon as you walk in

Food was DELICIOUS! The ambiance is so lovely as well, it’s a simple and lovely restaurant. Definitely worth going. The food tasted fresh and it was authentic Nepalese cuisine. Buffett was great too..great value for money quite affordable. The staff is so welcoming and sweet as well💕 we will definitely come back again🙌❤️

This is a new restaurant in the Nepalese tradition. The staff are not new, they are experienced professionals; and it shows. Service is 100% and the food and presentation are to match. No change for 2024 except Sunday's menu includes a rather lovely buffet, truly good value for money!

Lovely meal, one of my favourite Asian restaurants. Went early on a Monday so pretty quiet but service was attentive as always. Love their chilli cauliflower bites.

Me and my wife are momo fan and very limited places serve chicken momo(s). We came right in the evening on 2nd May (weekday) very quite it was. The host was amazing and welcomed us gracefully. We couldn't belive our eyes that the chicken momo they served us was very light and soft. The temperature for the steam momo was quite accurate. We will be here again soon cause it is very near to our home.

Having placed a home delivery order my rice was missing this then arrived som 40 minutes after the initial delivery meaning the rest of my meal had gone cold. This is the second consecutive time something has been missing. Phoned to complain and told that the manager would ring me back didn't happen. I have previously highly recommended the restaurant and it's service to friends and colleagues but will now tell them differently.

Just had a takeaway, first experience of Monk and it was excellent, bit later on the collection than expected but offered a complimentary half which was much appreciated. I gave 4 stars for atmosphere even though I didn't eat at the restaurant as it was buzzing. Definitely coming back for more as the menu is extensive

Driver took our food on a long journey while delivering for to others and guess what it arrived cold.one of the dishes was not cold because it was missing.when mentioned to delivery guy was told I don’t know I’m just the driver rang restaurant and the driver answered on his mobile!.visited restaurant many times never again

Went here for the buffet I have never bothered to write a review for a restaurant before but I had to for them. The food was amazing ! The service was great ! They cleaned up tables quickly and efficiently. Dealt with some noisy children with kindness. Cannot complain at all Will definitely be back.

After recently moving to the area we popped down to check out the Sunday buffet and were not disappointed. Food was amazing, great variety of food and lots of vegetarian options, will definately go again. Staff were friendly and even gave the kids some looney tunes cups which they loved :)

For people who come to curry houses every week this for sure is our favourite definitely reccomend 10/10

What an excellent experience we had at Monks restaurant last Friday. I booked a table for 6 as my in-laws had arrived from Nepal and they had missed their usual Nepalese food and were unable to get that Nepalese authentic meal till coming to Monks. Excellent authentic Nepalese food, and the decor was 10/10 and the staff were brilliant in particular I would like to thank Jun and Rudra who both were amazing hosts can’t thank you guys enough. Till next time which will be pretty soon!

We've now been here twice for their Sunday buffet. There is a really good choice of dishes, a large number of them fried, unfortunately. The food is delicious, service good and a good selection of drinks. It's obviously very popular with the locals.

Chicken shashlik was a bit bland and the chicken a strange texture. The biriani sauce a bit watery. Paneer starter was lovely though. Overall a shame as when I’ve dined in at Monk it’s been lovely.

Popped in after watching Liverpool v Chelsea. Really friendly staff and the food was phenomenal. SO tasty, not a fan of all u can eat normally but they kept topping up the buffet and there was plenty to chose from, the food authentic, tasty & fresh. Such a shame I live 130 miles away, otherwise I would be visiting every week! Great value l.🤩🙏🏻

The staff were very polite, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated to what I assume is a traditional Nepalese style. The food was exceptional and the choice was accommodating, for both non-spicy and spicy people. There seemed to be two types of menus, a buffet and regular set meals. We went for the set meals and they were quite large.

Indian food but tastes different

Finally managed to arrange a night out at The Monk after hearing great things. We were not dissapointed. The food was delicious, along with very happy and friendly staff. We will return.

Had high hopes. Only had starters. Chilly chicken was stale. Service is slow but attentive. Vegetarian is better than non vegetarian.

Very nice food definitely recommended.

Chicken in noodles was super chewy, can’t eat. Curry was not great, not bhuna at all looked like butter chicken with orange colour gravy. Very much disappointed. Only good thing was poppadom.

Lot of vegetarian options available. Their Monk special salad is a must try. Good service.

I was served tofu FROZEN solid inside. First I thought it's just cold so I unfortunately tried it-but when I've cut into pieces it was absolutely frozen in the middle. Staff didn't care much. I didn't make a fass and they did replace the dish, but the waitress wasn't told, and I was questioned on the situation again. Plus, the restaurant decided it's okay to charge service charge - obviously because they did such a "great" job. They are not making food fresh. If food is not properly cooked, one can only expect food poisoning-so this is me writing a review from the toilet I can't come off at 3 AM to try to warn others. I will never go back there.

Wow really impressed with this place with delicious Nepalese cuisine and perfect recommendation of food. We popped in on Saturday night without a booking and even though they were super busy they got us a table the food was so tasty and there was such a great choice of different dishes on the menu. The front staffs were very friendly and gave us advice on some of the items we were unsure of reasonably priced for the quality and flavours and the service would definitely highly recommend to all who are planning dine with families and friends. Thank you monk and see you soon .

Was our 3rd visit and had several takeaways which we've always rated highly, however this visit was a little disappointing. The restaurant was nearly full at 7pm, they had a staff shortage and a couple weren't the most efficient, so we waited a long time for food. Unusually the dishes we had were well cooked (tender lamb & chicken) but taste wasn't as special as we've come to expect from thier standards. Maybe a one off and certainly will go back, but the least enjoyable experience so far.

Check you bill,as we were over charged. Unfortunately they have orchard us before hence we double checked again

What has happened to Monks? I am guessing it has changed hands as I didn’t recognise anyone there. We go 2/3 times a year but not anymore. Incapable of taking a simple order, missing food and the food that did come was inconsistent. Some very good done poor. Not enough staff and those that are there simply not up to the job. Sad.

Can't wait to go here again. The garlic Nan is probably one of the best I've had. The Katmandu curry is spectacular & the jackfruit curry is unique. 10/10 for the food & the service was exceptional. Also, amazing value for money.

I went there for a Sunday Buffet. I was given a table for six in corner for three of us, that was great ! However, after 15 minutes, the manager came and said that we need to move to another table. I asked him why ? and his answer was the restaurant is fully booked and some people have turn up early. I can see the restaurant was full and buzzing. The variety of buffet dishes were delicious and carefully balanced for vegetarians and vegans. The naan bread was amazing and most importantly the lamb curry was out of this world. Service was good considering the restaurant being full. Please book before you plan to go there on Sundays .

A small group of us had a fresh, tasty meal at Monk. The food was very tasty and each dish individual and with its own character. Lots of vegetarian or meat options, spicy and mellow. When they say hot, they really do mean hot. Not sure what chilli's they use, but they pack a punch and build nicely. Service was friendly and good, always easy to get somebody's attention. To top it all off we thought that the price was very reasonable.

It was an amazing lunch experience in the Monk Restaurant. The dishes were beautifully presented and were equally delicious. Not to forget the warm hospitality of the staffs. The charming and cozy ambiance made it a perfect setting for sharing a meal with friends and family. I'm eagerly anticipating my next visit. This restaurant is a gem!

Absolutely incredible food, lovely staff and a really fantastic night out. This came highly recommended to me and it did not disappoint. The lamb meatball starters were sublime. Love it!

Food was quality. It’s my go to place whenever I’m here. The house salad is spicy. The replacement cauliflower dish instead of the okra was absolutely awesome.

Best Nepali restaurant in the surrounding areas! Really happy with the service; all staff were very friendly and attentive. I would 100% recommended Monk Restaurant, especially if you are looking to try Nepalese cuisine for the first time, but even if you are Nepali - there are plenty of unique dishes I had not come across elsewhere.

Was busy for Saturday dinner. Parking available outside. Have high chairs. Air conditioned. Very slow with service. Fried okra was salty. Chicken curry and rice with spring onions/peas very good. Momos also OK.

Brilliant and slightly different food

This restaurant by far is the best Nepali one I’ve seen. The owner is soo welcoming and all staff, there is one grumpy waiter but you got to love him too! Food is EXCELLENT. Service is top notch! What more can I say?

Indian food at its best. Monkfish Everest was out of this world. The service was fantastic, Lov was always with a smile. Great atmosphere in a full restaurant. Can’t wait to come back.

Curious to try this restaurant again as we haven’t visited since before covid. The food was excellent with plenty to choose from the menu. Good atmosphere as all the tables were taken. My only complaint being that the service was so so slow. We had to wait well over 40 minutes for our main meal to be served. Same with asking for the bill - another 25 minutes wait. They certainly need more staff to meet their needs.

Enjoyed a tasty curry, so many choices including Indian classics, but I wanted to try something Nepalese, went for the Kathmandu chicken and it didn’t disappoint. Very tasty dish with a nice amount of heat, great service too. Would return if I’m in the area.

I recently visited Monk for their lunch buffet, and I must say, I was blown away by the variety and quality of the food! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to our table. The buffet had a huge selection of dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Each dish was expertly prepared with fresh and flavorful ingredients, and I especially loved the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chili Chicken . The naan bread was also freshly made and delicious. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated and had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly, and our plates were cleared promptly. Overall, I would highly recommend Monk to anyone looking for an exceptional Indian dining experience. The buffet was an incredible value for the quality and variety of food on offer, and the service was top-notch. I can't wait to come back and try more of their amazing dishes!"

The food was good. I think late delivery made the food soggy, yet tasty. Love momossssss. We have ordered veg momo starter, tandoori chicken full, jhanne ko daal side and Lassun naan. Food was tasty. Can not wait to go to restaurant. Highly recommend..!!!

A great find! Lovely fresh food cooked to perfection and served by knowledgeable staff. The only problem that we found was at 7:30 on a Thursday evening there was a lot of single male diner's who of course got quite rowdy after a few drinks and we couldn't hear ouselfs talk, of course this could have been a Thursday night boys thing and may be better on another night.

Visited Monk on Sunday 15th Jan with my 2 children and hubby, as I'd seen their delicious menu and thought I've got to try this, plus it was local and they had a special off for the buffet: £5 for children under 10 and adults are £20. The food was very delicious and my kids who are fussy eaters enjoyed the magic vegetables and naans. Service was OK, no eye contact or smiles. When I paid the bill, the children were changed £10 each, and they were both under 10. I showed the waiter the offer advertised on their website, and I told him that he'd made a mistake. He completely dismissed me. I took my card out, and as I discussed the discrepancy, he swiped my card. There was still no eye contact and no knowledgment of the price on their website. He did then mummered the price advertised is wrong, and that was it. Unfortunately, I will not be going back to Monk.

We came across this place by accident and it was well worth it. Sunday buffet was on and the food was fresh and very tasty. We were warmly welcomed like one of the family. It was a great experience and food.

Best prawns in the U.K . Eaten a lot of prawns in my life but these King Prawns are something to be seen and tasted. On arrival the sizzling hot plate picked up my ears then upon being placed on the table my eyes were greeted with 3 Huge, juicy , thick prawns. Once I cut through the Chunky supple skin and delicately placed them in my mouth, my taste buds were greeted with well marinated king prawn explosion of flavour and pleasure that I’ve never experienced before. Simply put they were cooked to perfection. Walked out floating on a cloud. Will be back soon

Do NOT order from her. Took our order ar 19.05. Told at 21.05 our order was on its way, at 21.43 tried calling 13 times call was dumped. £47. Taken, really bad service. 👎

Best curry in Denham area and for miles! Avoid Ahman Indian nearby Monk is 10x better. Much nicer restaurant for taste. Especially if you are eating in. Lovely restaurant and service will be visiting regularly! 😋
