There is so much potential here, however it's not in the best spot and the food is just about "OK" - to be fair I wasn't expecting michelin stars and I understand the need to keep costs down - but it needs to be balanced and it currently isn't. Working more closely withthe Maize Maze may help them attract more people which would then help to improve the overall offering and quality. But for now, it's ok for a cheapish lunchtime snack with the kids.

I’ve driven past Mama’s Hut countless times, always too close to home to stop by. What a mistake that was! Recently, I decided to give it a try, and I’m thrilled I did. The burger stack caught my eye—the guy in front of me ordered it, and it looked impressive. But my heart was set on a simple bacon roll. Fate had other plans, though, as I ended up ordering Mama’s homemade beef burger. And let me tell you, it was excellent! The flavours, the juiciness—it was a delightful surprise. But that’s not all. I returned to sample more of Mama’s offerings. The chicken curry transported me back to my childhood—the familiar spices, the warmth—it was like a comforting hug. And then there was the jerk chicken with jollof rice and the fried haloumi wrap. Each bite was a burst of flavour, definitely worth the short drive out. Mama’s Hut is more than just a food stop; it’s a culinary adventure. The lovely hostess, the soulful music—it all adds to the experience. Next time I’m near the Brenzett roundabout, you can bet I’ll be making that two-minute detour to Mama’s Hut. We’ll definitely be going back! 🌟

Unfortunately didn't take any pictures. Plenty of bike parking spaces, although most of the car park is still just dirt and stones, so be carefull coming in. The food was good, not alot for the price tho, bit poor. Latte was great, had 2 very nice. As a bonus there is s petrol mini car race track, lovely friendly staff and food cooked really well. I don't eat alot but for 9.99 breakfast my husband could have easily eaten two. Will defently go again, and they remember, NO BEANS next time !!😍

Wow… this was a little gem… ate on a Friday, and ended up sharing a paté, 2 mains and a blackberry/apple crumble and all for £20. 2 course is £12 on a most days.. Friday is £10!! Every main meal looked amazing, whether on our table or others. it was certainly value for money and we both left very full. I had the chicken and bacon pie. Service was very kind.

We received a warm welcome as always. A pint of Abbot ale and Rattler cider accompanied a delicious Sunday lunch. There was even a little plate of tasty lunch morsels and bowl of water for our dog. The chef came over for a chat and the barmaid did everything to make sure we were happy. If you haven’t found this gem it’s well worth a visit. You can also visit the grave of E Nesbit, author of The Railway Children, who is buried in the churchyard nearby.

RATS IN KITCHEN- I WONT BE EATING HERE AGAIN. Stinks off fat and cobwebs everywhere. Staff have really bad attitudes. Unsafe building. Toilets dirty. Dangerous place for kids and pets. Not disabled friendly. Noisey track next to so called cafe.

I visited with my dad for a Sunday roast upon recommendation and it didn’t disappoint. Family run, the food is freshly prepared and I liked the variety of options the menu gave. Small roast (for OAP’s, convalescence and dieters) Medium - options of two meats which is a nice option or Large - the option to have all 5 meats. We both had a medium roast and it came as a full plate with a good portion of meat and vegetables Inc greens! The obligatory Yorkshire Pudding and plenty of gravy with the option of extra gravy and any sauces you want. Cute and quaint nestled in a village type atmosphere with a church next door. This is a traditional pub and small business (who appreciate your custom)

I went there after my niece's funeral and we were treated with respect by the staff. The family had a buffet in the pub garden and we were left to have our family time Thank you everyone.
