My granddaughter's choice for a Saturday morning. after walking the dogs. Today she sampled a full English breakfast, her usual hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream and a large slice of Bakewell Tart. I stuck to a bacon sandwich and a latte. Excellent food and service which couldn't be faulted.

Just had a pint. No food served on Saturdays. Only had micro brewery bitter from it was ok. Good range of outdoor seating. Plenty of parking.

Who is the Chef here!!!! #amazing Today we added to the review as the Sunday Lunch was EPIC. Check out the rib eye beef and the pork belly!! Yum yum 😋 The White Horse Pub in Hawkinge is an absolute gem, and my recent experience there was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by Abby, who provided exceptional service throughout my visit. Let's talk about the food - an absolute culinary delight crafted by the talented chef, Keyleigh. The garlic and chili prawn on sourdough starter was a burst of flavors that tantalized my taste buds, setting the perfect tone for the meal ahead. The beef and Guinness suet pie with triple cooked chips, accompanied by gravy and vegetables, was a hearty masterpiece. Each bite was filled with rich, comforting flavors that left me wanting more. And let's not forget the grand finale - the banoffee pie dessert was a divine indulgence that rounded off the meal perfectly. The ambiance of the pub was inviting, with a well-presented interior that exuded charm and character. It provided the ideal backdrop for a memorable dining experience. What's more, the value for money was exceptional, considering the quality and quantity of the food served. In summary, the White Horse Pub in Hawkinge is a must-visit for anyone seeking a combination of top-notch service, delectable food, and cozy ambiance. With Abby's professionalism and Keyleigh's culinary expertise, it's an experience that promises to delight all the senses. Go give them a go, you won’t be disappointed!

Takeaway for two on a Wednesday at 6pm. Starter Onion bhajis. Very dark, greasy flat pancake. Yuk! Main courses were both off their new 20th anniversary (July 2024) new meal section. Came in a large container with 7 pieces of chicken each. One meal described as hot - Chennai with chicken. Verdict, don't bother, chip shop curry sauce with pieces of chicken - no vegetables at all. Other meal was Roshon with chicken. This had same colour and flavour as the Chennai. Verdicts. Don't waste your money, just go to a chip shop and get a tub of cheap curry sauce. Chef, why serve two different dishes to the same customer which both taste and look exactly the same. Also why just put thin curry sauce over meat without even trying to add some...(any) vegetables. There were no vegetables, not even onions in the meals. This is an insult to curry. You have cut too many corners and need to rethink your business. Sorry, we will not be back.

Very disappointed with this garden centre . Hamstreet have a designated area INDOORS for dog when I visited folkestone I had to sit outside in windy rainy cold conditions. Yes I was under a gazebo but I felt penalised for having a dog 🐕 x poor standards

Good honest pub grub. Well worth eating. The real ale was OK, sadly when I visited it was at the end of the barrel and was a smidge cloudy - tasted fine though!

The second time I have bought from here and although the food isn’t bad the ladies serving need some lessons in customer service. They are rude and speak to you like they are doing you a favour. This is bad for business.

Well I tried and was disappointed, asked for mixed grill, not available, ordered chicken burger very average, over an hour wait for only one course, tuna melt was very dry and over done baguette. Dirty toilets yuck, tables sticky, needs proper clean, one person bringing the food, serving at the bar and taking.away dishes. No wonder people come and don't come back, shame indeed.
