The best restaurants in North Downs East Shepway South East

My granddaughter's choice for a Saturday morning. after walking the dogs. Today she sampled a full English breakfast, her usual hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream and a large slice of Bakewell Tart. I stuck to a bacon sandwich and a latte. Excellent food and service which couldn't be faulted.

Just had a pint. No food served on Saturdays. Only had micro brewery bitter from it was ok. Good range of outdoor seating. Plenty of parking.

Beautiful pub. With minimal notice Emma put on the most wonderful afternoon tea to celebrate my Dad after his funeral. We had a reserved space in the middle of the pub and the care and service we were given was awesome. Thank you for creating a lovely send off for Dad!

Classic and relaxed place for a drink. Often cycle here, done well to let going post Covid given location and opening hours.

Starter Onion bhajis. Dark, greasy, flat disc of batter with very few onions. Destination..... Bin. Mains were off the New Items list being their 20th anniversary celebration dishes?? Chicken Chennai. This was served in a large container holding 7 pieces of chicken filled with thin sauce tasting and looking exactly like cheap chip shop curry sauce. No vegetables at all. Other dish. Chicken Roshon. Served in the same sized large foil container with 7 pieces of chicken. Sauce was identical to other dish, that is a thin sauce with no vegetables, tasting and looking exactly like cheap chip shop curry sauce. Chef, why serve the same customer with two different meals with look and taste identical and seem to be just cooker meat and thin watery curry sauce made from a powder? I think you have cut too many corners and seem disrespectful to your (now ex) customers. 😞

Why on earth would you have the front door as exit only when senior citizens eat & shop here My mum is 87 ... Many cannot walk all the way to the back of your center Raining & cold Long long walk Please change

Amazing welcome and what accommodating staff!! We turned up on Halloween not expecting a special menu and they could not do enough to supports for “off menu” requests. Super dog friendly, accommodating our 4 spaniels and a chihuahua. Will definitely be back when in the area. Amazing food, ambience and staff. Thank you

Lovely and hot cod and chips and lovely sausages great portions very busy when we came not sure what more I can say really.

Unfortunately we have been poisoned with the food. No recommend

Had sausage and chips and the chips were excellent. I've also had a doner kebab and I would definitely recommend, as was very nice and a better price than a lot of kebab shops locally. Also very good portion sizes
