Aspendos in Shepway

Me and my partner orderd from here last night. He got the donner meat and i got shwarma chicken, at 2.30am that night,my partner was up being violently sick and diarrhoea. This was from the takeaway,we order from here quite a bit and never a problem, im just writing this on here as i cannot get hold of them through the phone. I think that donner was very off!

Food is fine, but not so well as Folkestone restaurant. Prices are high plus adding service fees … for what? No tzatziki sauce available, apparently is not very popular?? In a Turkish restaurant?

Ordered chicken kebab, humus and vine leaves with rice bread and salad. Prompt delivery, absolutely delicious.

Dirty old man rings my door bell like it ice-cream van ,wakes my baby up iv send this smelly weed guy on his way and ordered from folkestone kebabs and got a very professional service and it was cheaper as well Don't Order from here if u get this dirty smelly weed guy delivering your food no good

Ordered from here when visiting my parents. Food is fantastic, cooked on a wood fired grill. We had the chicken kebab and the special which was enough to feed 3 easily with a selection of the different meats. Well worth trying.

Got a large chicken Donner, it was huge and tasty.would recommend and return, returned and tried the large doner kebab wasn't the best I have had but it would have filled an army.

The food was terrible, paid £13.50 for a combination kebab to have 4 bits of small dry chicken on a bed of what I can only describe as dehydrated beef jerky (lamb doner) the pita bread was rock solid, we paid £45 for 4 kebabs and they were all terrible avoid at all costs.

Best Chicken shish I've ever had . Simple as that. So tender. My chips were perfectly done and everything was clean and perfectly presented . I collected rather than use a delivery service . Without a doubt this is my goto place now.

Ordered a few kababs I had a mixed doner the lamb was fresh but the chicken was stone cold and not freshly cooked at all

Best chips in town! Can't comment on anything else as I've only ever had the chips.

On Friday a night at 8:30pm we ordered the following: Aspendos Special Kebab One size One skewer kofte, shish, chicken kebab, lamb donner & chicken donner served in foil container with salad & 2 pitta breads For just under £30. It was by far the best takeaway either if us 47-year-old had ever had. Our expectations were low as it was a Friday night kebab but we were very pleasantly surprised. It was absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful and it arrived within half an hour to our door. Thank you Aspendo's, we will certainly be ordering again soon :)

Came back from Australia and was hanging out for a doner, ordered a small doner and it was huge. Fantastic!

We ordered from Aspendos for a lack of anywhere else to eat having arrived at the Black Horse Farm Caravan park on Friday evening on our way to the Channel Tunnel the next day. It turns out luck was on our side as the only place we could get food delivered to us was THE place to eat! I had the chicken wrap which was genuinely the best kebab I’ve had. The meat was succulent and tasty, the wrap was thin and well made and the salad was fresh and tasty. 10/10 My husband had the garlic mushrooms starter and the chicken and shishlik kebab. The mushrooms were really tasty and crisp and the kebab had big pieces of chicken breast and lamb. He was a very happy camper! Couldn’t recommend this highly enough. Especially as it arrived within 40 minutes on a Friday evening. (If you’re on the campsite don’t forget you’ll need to meet them at the barrier)

Visited here for the first time on 27th July and ordered two Chicken Shish. Staff were very friendly and and the girl that served us really helpful in making our choice. Food was absolutely delicious, well presented and we would definitely recommend. Many thanks Aspendos Hawkinge.

Didn't want to pay the unreasonable delivery charge so walked to the shop and ordered a burger only to be charged a completely different price to the one on the board in the shop....then a week later returned as the other half enjoyed the burger so ordered it again but this time it had items missing that is advertised as having...very strange service and somewhere we won't bother ordering from again when staff just make up prices and can't be bothered to put the advertised burger together properly....not sure why people think it's so great really as if this is how it is across all the stores its a shame.

Just had a takeaway delivered to the campsite at black horse farm and it was excellent!!!! Far too much food but delicious and fantastic value. Will definitely use again

First time buying from here and I can say I left Impressed. Salad all tasted fresh, sauce in a separate pot, cheesy chips were actually cheesy. Bought a small kebab and looked like a large so generous with their sizing. Good price. Was a lush takeaway on a Thursday night (:

Have order from aspendos many when they first opened they was really good but these past 3 months they have got bad We have had items missing several times the doner meat has been cold and not tasted right chips are really dry and hard Dont think we will be using them again

Never use these guys we ordered a group of different things... Mine was missing and OK mistakes happened... We phoned them to make them aware to which they said they'd get one asap.... 30 mins later still no food.... Phoned again and lady answered who didn't offer any type of apology was short and rude and put phone down... Called again spoke to male who tried to imply I'd been abusive which was shocking.... I explained myself again and was told I'd have to wait around 30 mins for my food.... By this time naturally everyone had eaten.... About an hour later someone arrived from their shop with £10 refund 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Very disappointed with pizza that had a very burnt base and crust. could only eat the topping.. chips dry and tasteless.... still hungry, but put off of having any kind of dessert... food was ready in time given

I have ordered from here before and it has been lovely but my experience this evening was the complete opposite. I ordered thru ubereats which was quick and easy and honestly the speed of delivery was amazing but the food itself was not satisfactory at all, the two chicken kebabs that were delivered came swimming in grease, to the point it was dripping off the wrapping and bag it was contained in, my partners even included two long dark hairs wrapped round in with the chicken (so he threw it straight away) which I don't blame him for. Who wants to eat hair??? The kids meal was also disappointing, rock hard scampi and cold hard fries. The only thing both edible and enjoyable was the burger. So out of 4 meals only one was fully eaten, so now I am left with unhappy, hungry people, basically just thrown money away. I will not be ordering from here again. So disappointed and disgusted that they even thought the food was good enough to send out to delivery. 1.5 out of 5*

Ordered 5 chicken kebabs by telephone, with salad and various sauces. Ready to collect very quickly. Wonderful meat beautifully cooked with a large portion of salad and sauce. I would highly recommend this place.

Beware sudden price hike, Tonight we were charged £10 for our usual collection, not delivery, of chicken doner and chicken kepab combination instead of £8. This seems unreasonable price inflation in just one week! Very miffed!!!

Lovely kebab. Like the fact that salad & chilli sauce served separately in container from kebab so it doesn't go soggy

Chips where mainly hard and over cooked on both the chicken meat and chips and I know you get some grease with this sort of food but tbh it was so much grease one of them was swimming in it. I will in future go further a field to get mine it was a very very unpleasant experience

Ordered via uber eats as a promotion was running, was easy to order and delivery was fast and pain free. I had a burger and opted to add halloumi to it. It was so tasty, I didn't think much of the fries tho hence the 4 out of 5 rating.

Excellent quality shish kabab I would recommend

We were staying overnight in an Airbnb and wanted a quick fresh takeaway. We were not disappointed as the quality, portion size and selection available was second to none. There were excellent covid protocols in place and staff members were polite and engaging. Service was swift and well packaged for our short journey. Our kofta and chicken kebabs tasted superb and were complemented with fresh salad items. We would highly recommend.

Food arrived cold and ridiculously dry, order was wrong so called to fix which took over an hour to arrive. They’re minutes away from my home....Certainly not great in any way.

2hours late & absolutely disgusting the chicken had no flavour & was swimming in grease.The only edible bit was the tiny salad & a few fries. My husbands pizzas were nothing special but at least edible.

Used this place the other week and was impressed; ordering was easy and the wait not long at all My burger was so juicy and tasty, the halloumi was beautiful aswell but the fries really were to crunchy and let it down. Would order from here again anytime. 4/5

Aspendos always it’s amazing service! all the staffs are very kind.everything I ordered, arrived very fast and warm, yes! the salad was fresh and very nice for me.sometimes i send my boys 9 and 10 years old to collect in the shop and the staffs are kind and give some sweets... they love it 😍recommend 150%

New to the area but clean and tidy. Cooked fresh on site small seating outside shops but is a takeaway shop. Friendly staff.

Always order a chicken kebab, I’ve ordered from here about 6-7 times so far. When I heard aspendos was coming to Hawkinge I was very excited as the food from cheriton would come up this way only warm. This aspendos gets delivered so quickly, they say half hour to 40mins I reckon they normally get to me within 20mins and the chicken is always really hot and cooked so well, the chips are the same as you would get in any take away being delivered they are soggy and boring from the packaging, but never had a problem with the kebabs they have always tasted really good. I find the cheriton and hythe aspendos can be hit and miss sometimes the chicken from those shops can sometimes taste really odd and dry. Well done to the staff at the Hawkinge branch :) il continue with my orders. Note to those ordering, sometimes they have bad signal when ordering on the phone, it’s Hawkinge it’s going to happen, just ask them to repeat the order back to you & if it’s wrong just ring up, they will be round to you quick enough, on only one occasion they forgot my pita bread and it came within 5 minutes.

Loverly food at reasonable prices.

Every time we have ordered from here they have got the order wrong or we end up with food missing. Foodis. Othing special. Kebab meat bland and dry. Will never go back even though it's convenient as in the village we live

Food was cold and cardboardy - staff aggressive

The only take away in Hawkinge worth using. Great chicken kebabs are a reliable choice, although there is plenty of choice of other Greek food, plus some simple things such as pizza. Decent size portions, delicious food, a friendly free delivery service; what is there not to like? Throughly recommended. PS. If they would stop using polystyrene containers they would be perfect.

Honestly can't fault the food, delicious everytime, out of the three times we've ordered from here though they've got the order wrong twice. They have always been good at correcting this but it's little use getting half of your meal 30 minutes late. Clearly an underlying issue with getting orders right as I have heard similar from other people. Can't fault the food though and the chilli sauce especially is amazing.

I had a chicken shaslik & my partner had a lamb kofta. Salad was all separate so no soggy pitta. Garlic mayo was delicious and chilli sauce nice and tasty not too hot.

Fantastic food, LOVE the fact I can have my salad and sauce separate otherwise it makes my kebab SOGGY! lovely owners and speedy delivery. Would recommend to anyone.

Thought we would try the new take away. Phoned and told delivery was 3/4 of an hour, collection in 15mins, since we live close, we collected. Very tasty. Succulent meat in kebabs. Looking forward to trying the pizzas next time

Opening night tonight, we called up and made our order for collection which was ready in fifteen minutes as they advised. Lovely service, the food was amazing! Will definitely be using them often.
