Lovely coffee, people and atmosphere. A really nice find and will certainly be returning when next visiting the garden centre

Great little pub with super views across a lake. Beautifully cooked food, fresh and well presented. Dessert menu superb with indulgent dishes such as Spotted Dick, Jam Roly Poly pudding and Sticky Toffee Pudding along with the usual favourites. Decent beers too! Recommended!

We stopped here for a Devonshire Cream Tea this afternoon, having travelled from Norfolk for a few days in the area, and were met by two absolutely wonderful ladies who made us welcome from the moment we stepped inside. Very polite and engaging people who served us the most delightful afternoon tea we have ever enjoyed. Service was impeccable, as were the scones/teas. A real delight to visit and we look forward to the next visit. Thank you for helping to make our afternoon such an enjoyable one.

So lucky to get a snack on Mother's Day as we hadn't booked. We sat on the patio and chose plates from the nibbles section which were delicious and arrived really quickly. Would have prefered to sit inside, but was lucky to be able to get anything given how busy they were. I've been to the one in Lamberhurst Green. Am just looking forward to visiting another one of the Elite Pubs, hopefully soon.

Booked a table at 3:30 for a Sunday roast, arrived well within time and got a drink before hand. At 3:30 we went in to get our table and the older lady at the bar was on the phone sorting out a holiday. She kept telling the person on the phone she was at work but still made no attempt to come off the phone. By now there was a queue of people waiting to be served, leaving one younger lady at the bar dealing with everything. By the time she came off the phone it was 3:40. We explained we had a table booked and she rudely looked at the time, huffed and told us to go to table 10, that the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes and we had to choose something to eat immediately or we would miss out. Without apologising for keeping multiple people waiting at the bar. We cannot fault the service from the other staff at the bar and the girls serving us our food were lovely

This cafe use to be fab. We had a bad experience, wrote an email voicing our concerns but no reply! We thought we’d give it another chance but sadly it has not improved. Firstly there was friction between the staff which didn’t create a great atmosphere. The chairs are mostly worn and need replacing, the middle has gone on the majority and you sink down as there is no seat support so that wasn’t great. The tables were grim, sticky with some type of residue - we used our own hand sanitiser to clean them. The food - we ordered two ham sandwiches which we had to wait ages for, it wasn’t busy. The bread was bordering on stale. There was one slice of wafer thin ham, nothing like it use to be. For this we paid £7.25, so together with two pots of tea at £3.00 each our total bill was £20.50. I don’t have an issue paying when the food & service is good but this really wasn’t. The prices have crept up but the standards & service have dropped.
