The Stanhope Arms in Sevenoaks

We held our engagement party here. The venue were accommodating and did the most amazing Greek spread for our guests. We had so many compliments on the food all night and I can't wait to eat here again. All the staff were INCREDIBLE, making it a really special night for us. There is so much choice when it comes to drinks and you get really good value for money, which is hard to come by these days. Not only that the venue itself is in a lovely location, tucked away with plenty of outdoor space and nice interiors. Exactly what you want from a pub and more. I wish I could do it all over again. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

We visited this pub before, we near by but never with friends. We were thoroughly impressed. From the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the attentive and friendly staff, every detail made the experience enjoyable. The food and drinks are excellent value for money, my risotto was just delicious and our friend really enjoyed the burger, with generous portions and quality that exceeded our expectations. Our friends, who joined us, couldn’t stop raving about it and even wished they lived closer so they could visit more often! This pub is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed with the lunch menu, not much choice. Had sea bass, a few fried potatoes and asparagus tips, looked like I was on a diet, glad I had breakfast that morning. Desert menu only 3 choices besides ice cream. So disappointed we left without desert and coffee. Service charge was already added to the bill. I first went there over 10 years ago and was always satisfied. Won’t be going back.

We have visited the Stanhope Arms a few times since the makeover( it took us a while to realise they had had a makeover) And each time we love it more... The service is friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is lovely, and the environment is clean, tidy, and well-managed. All the staff are helpful and work with a smile which is lovely to see even on a busy day like today! As a group we like to go round various places and test out menus on a Sunday. Well this place is very very good. I had the tempura prawns and the katsu chicken curry and it did not disappoint. Prawns were delicious with the chilli mayo. Only thing I would add is that they need to provide more mayo ! The katsu curry was quite hot but tolerable and generous in size of chicken and rice. Delicious. I saw the roasts and the friends who had it said it was fab. We went on a sunny day so we're able to sit outside. Covered area and a bbq was on the go. Very relaxed and prices are not too bad. Going back this weekend for mums bday. Please do have a visit here. Well worth it.

Great food and a very warm welcome for us and our dog. Good selection of wines and ales and a good pint of Guiness which is always important!! Will be back for sure. Worth a visit.

Always a warm welcome, and whilst we only had the lunchtime snacks from the menu when we visited, everything was superbly cooked to order, and all allergens from our party were noted and actioned. Would I/we visit again: 100%

This pub is a hidden gem! Off the beaten track a little but nevertheless , it rates very highly in our opinion. A good, varied menu, very nicely cooked and served with a smile from the very impressive staff. Competitively priced too and a nice selection of beers and wines.

Excellent food and service. We called in on the of chance of a quick lunch after a visit to Chartwell . We were given a very warm welcome and shown to a table. There was a really good selection on the menu and specials available. I had the King Prawn Risotto, which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Shepards Pie and was equally delighted. We would thoroughly recommend this pub.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of visiting The Stanhope Arms. Throughout my visit, from the point of entering the venue to my exit, myself and my party made to feel very welcome. We smiled at from the bar by a very welcoming gentleman behind the bar, whom I later found out to be Chris. We were given Sunday menus and we were shown to a table where our drinks order was taken. We all chose different items from the menu however this did not prove any sort of an issue as relatively quickly, when the time came for the food to come all meals were not only presented beautifully and looking incredibly appetising the taste did not disappoint either. With some of the party then going on to order puddings as well. This is one of the best meals we have had out for a long time, which was made all the more enjoyable by the extremely friendly team of the Stanhope Arms whom it would appear are one great big welcoming family. Thoroughly recommend the Katsu Curry, The Stanhope Burger, The Sunday Roasts, with Beef, Gammon and Turkey being big hits with the group and the waffle for pudding.

A lovely find, the food was fresh and absolutely delicious, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, the pub was cozy and had a lovely atmosphere. Such a nice experience we changed our booking for Mother’s Day to here instead of another pub in Sevenoaks. Highly recommend!

Wow! We went for a Sunday lunch and were amazed at the quality of the food, the wide choice of drinks available and the excellent service. We have been a few times over the last few years but can 100% say there has been a huge improvement in the food. We cannot wait to go back!

The syrup sponge pudding is good. The Katsu curry wasn't up to Wagamammas' standard but is dearer. A great old building with generic decoration. The 3 prosecco mums effing like tradies in front of a 3 year old did nothing to encourage me to want to return.

Being my first visit I didn't know what to expect but I needn't have worried. This pub is equally welcome to diners as well as those just fancying a drink in convivial surroundings. The food was excellent (the short crust pastry around the beef pie was perfect!) and the locally sourced beer was spot on. I just wish I'd found it sooner!

Best fish and chips in Sevenoaks. Food is generally excellent. Hot and freshly cooked. Toilets are kept spotless.

A belated birthday get-together with good friends last week, and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the warm ambience of the pub: a small hiccup with one of the main courses was quickly and professionally resolved by Simone, who remains a beacon of hard work, friendliness and a lady who is at the top of her game.

A warm, friendly pub which has the bonus for a real ale lover of being a free house. Food was good too. Well presented generous portions.

Wow. Can’t fault it! Warm welcome to this lovely pub just felt so at home instantly. The service was good/polite and not over the top. The food! Well hands down the next roast that I’ve ever had in a pub! The starters were also excellent. We have eaten roasts in most of the pubs around Sevenoaks and this is without doubt the best by a long way. Even better the bill was slightly less than some other places we have been. We will be back 100%
