This cafe use to be fab. We had a bad experience, wrote an email voicing our concerns but no reply! We thought we’d give it another chance but sadly it has not improved. Firstly there was friction between the staff which didn’t create a great atmosphere. The chairs are mostly worn and need replacing, the middle has gone on the majority and you sink down as there is no seat support so that wasn’t great. The tables were grim, sticky with some type of residue - we used our own hand sanitiser to clean them. The food - we ordered two ham sandwiches which we had to wait ages for, it wasn’t busy. The bread was bordering on stale. There was one slice of wafer thin ham, nothing like it use to be. For this we paid £7.25, so together with two pots of tea at £3.00 each our total bill was £20.50. I don’t have an issue paying when the food & service is good but this really wasn’t. The prices have crept up but the standards & service have dropped.

After a lovely morning walk round Toy Hill with our pups, we were pleased to find this dog friendly cafe nearby for refreshments. It is very evident that dogs are welcome on lead in the garden centre and the cafe has an abundance of dog friendly seating ‘outside’ the cafe (which is still under cover inside the garden centre) and a small section at the rear of the inside seating. Dog bowls aplenty. Great. We arrived at 12 on a Saturday and it was relatively quiet. Placing our order we were told a) run out of chips b) run out of teapots c) run out of coronation chicken. Heaven know what the rest of the lunchtime arrivals managed to order!! Food arrived: mozzarella panini, jacket potato, sausage sandwich - all edible but the presentation was basic and absolutely no frills. Staff were friendly and food was prompt. Probably wouldn’t return.

Friends and I met here for a catch up - we meant to just have a cup of tea then go to a pub for lunch but all the food looked so delicious and the service was so lovely we sat in the cafe all day! We all had a cooked breakfast sandwich, many many pots of tea, a hot lunch meal and took home some cake - all absolutely delicious, we all really enjoyed all the food, the cafe was very comfortable and the service extremely friendly and efficient.

Lovely setting for lunch. This cafe is part of a garden centre and although there is a nice indoor area, there is a large amount of seating in the actual huge Greenhouse. This makes you feel that you have hopped on a plane and headed overseas, as the Sun beats down on you, it is warm and amazing. So nice, to be surrounded by the plants and a wall of beautiful mirrors for sale. They are quite organised and it didn't take long for the food to come. We ordered the Quiche and Salad, which was beautifully served and just perfect. It was busy all the time we were there. The only downside was when my friend disappeared inside to get us some more drinks and never came back. I went in 20mins later to find her at the front of a long queue! Obviously could do with more staff but worth a visit.

We stopped here at the end of our circular ramble in the area. The café is within the Coblands Garden Centre in their old potting up greenhouse. We only stopped for coffee and cake but they also sell a range of hot food and sandwiches. Plenty of tables and comfy chairs available with a dedicated area for 4 legged friends. Worth a visit.

Visited the cafe in April. It has a nice feel, generally good service and whilst the food was good quality - the prices are still very excessive for the portion sizes and the full package of what is served. The ingredients may well be locally sourced, but alot of other establishments could say the same and for at least a third of these prices. £9 for a bowl of soup is inexplicable and also think it is unfair to ask customers to pay additional for gluten free bread when a great many coastal towns in Kent are fully geared up for GF customers and do not charge extra.

Have been to Brands loads of times but never eaten in the kentagon up until now, pleasantly surprised when we decided to try the breakfast. Good value taking today’s prices into account and quality ingredients cooked well. Did have to queue up but the service was quite speedy, it was nice to sit down and eat / warm up on a cold January day.

Honestly one of the best curries I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot! Ordered from them multiple times but the Korma, Balti and Passanda are amazing. Thank you guys
