Didn’t inform us at the time of booking that they had a wedding function on, so we were kept up until late with loud obnoxious music. To add insult to injury, despite inputting my car registration into their tablet for the parking, I received a £100 fine from the company that manages the hotels parking. The hotel manager agreed to cancel the fine, but my car is leased, so the lease company charges me £10 to release my details to the hotel. I naturally asked the hotel manager to reimburse the £10 I had been charged and I was told it wasn’t their fault, so they aren’t prepared to help me. How is it not their fault… I did everything a paying guest of the hotel was meant to do, and their tablet registration system failed, and as a direct result I have been charged £10. I sincerely suggest you book somewhere else to stay ladies and gentlemen. The management at this hotel are very unreasonable, and it seems the hotel is well known for playing loud music and disturbing its guests based on other reviews I have since read. Edit to address the hotels response to my original complaint: My wife booked the hotel, and I can assure you that no one advised her that there would be a function or loud music, otherwise we would have chosen to stay somewhere else. When I inputted my car registration into your tablet, I was assisted by a member of your staff. I wasn’t advised by said member of staff that I needed to have, or not have, a gap between the letters/ numbers on my registration plate. If this is a known/ potential issue (as it clearly is or you wouldn’t otherwise know why I received the parking fine) then might I suggest you train your staff to advise your guests accordingly, so they can avoid making an honest mistake, or better still, invest in a new tablet with software that won’t allow your guests to unwittingly make an honest mistake. As for you suggesting that you did me some kind of favour, by means of waiving the £100 fine, how on earth do you determine this to be a “good will gesture”. The parking is free for gods sake, and your shoddy tablet and poorly trained staff caused the issue, so frankly your logic stinks. I was only fined because you use a tablet that allows your customers to make an honest mistake, and even though your aware of this fact, you don’t train your staff to help your customers avoid this potential issue. To summarise, your failing as highlighted above is the direct cause of me being charged £10. How you can’t get your head around this fact and not have the decency to cover said cost is beyond me. Be that as it may, as stated to your manager over the phone, my poor, yet sincerely honest review of your establishment and your sharp practice will doubtlessly cause a great many potential customers to think twice about booking a stay with you, so I’ll at least take some comfort in the fact that I will have cost you a great deal more money in lost bookings than the £10 you ended up costing me.

/ .Hotel rooms very good. Service still has potential for improvement. Food we were a tour group from Switzerland. Breakfast was a bit meager, just no bread, otherwise OK. Dinner on the 1st and 3rd day was very good on the 2nd and 4th day. I would never have set it up.

Myself and 20 other business owners visit here every week for our weekly BNI Business referral meeting and I can honestly say the service we receive is second to none. All the team are super friendly and accommodating and we can’t thank k them though. And the full English breakfast they put on for us is awesome too. Nice way to top off all the business referrals we do in the morning prior. Also, we would recommend the escape rooms, the scary ones are a massive laugh when your mates and the big big room is great for 10+ people. Highly recommended.

Stayed at the hotel after my wedding day and accidentally left my brand new wedding suit in the wardrobe after checking out. Called to ask to collect it, assuming it was handed in but apparently the suit is gone. Either stolen or thrown out. I am devastated. Not a review I expected to write.

Didn't stay here, so not eating the rooms. Used the EV chargers around the back and went into reception and bar while waiting. Looks beautiful, nice staff and nice bar. It is decorated like an Indian palace and there is even an incense smell in reception area.

We visited Donnington Manor Hotel to have a go at their escape rooms. Wow what a great experience. On arrival there was a friendly member of staff that helped us get checked in. There was a short briefing on do and don'ts and we got straight to it. The escape room was clean and well setup. We failed to get out but boy was it a lot of fun. If you fancy something different and fun go spend an hour here. Thanks for an amazing experience 😎

Lovely gardens, room OK but linens need updating as had holes and a rip. DON'T eat here!! Frozen avocado that was limp, slimy and brown, thinnest Rib eye I've ever seen which was not cooked to my spec, (overcooked). Liqueur coffee had double cream in it which made it curdle, service very slow and uncertain, seemed like nobody had any clue what they were doing!! Shame, as this place could be nice, but staff and restaurant severely lacking.
