The White Hart in Sevenoaks

We’ve had some very good meals here but this time the scallops starter could have done with a lot more caramelisation, the rotisserie chicken was dry and the fillet steak ordered as medium rare was barely pink, 90% brown in the middle. Apparently the chef says that this is how they do medium rare and was not going to do anything about it so it’s like it of lump it time. Given that attitude I didn’t see any way of winning the argument 🤷‍♂️

What an awesome experience! Our waitress Jaime was the best thing about this sweet pub. She was friendly, knowledgeable, professional her customer service skill set was Tops. A lovely Mothers day meal with excellent service from "Molly". A friendly atmosphere from all staff and looked after my milk allergy with plenty of options available. Would highly recommend.

Early Mother’s Day late lunch with daughters and grandchildren and hubby (8 of us). Fab service from Sara, thank you. The Steak and Malbec pies were the highlight and the best we’d had anywhere in a very long time, packed with flowing juicy meat and delicious gravy when cut into. The only plea would be ‘please bring back the battered halloumi’ as the banana blossom just doesn’t quite do it for the vegetarian in the family! 🙏 Ps. Love the refurbishment!

Visited here on Wednesday for some lunch and had a lovely time! The food was absolutely delicious. Our sever Jamie was attentive, kind and very knowledgeable of the menu and helped me decide. She also told us that they had recently remodeled the restaurant and it looks stunning. Great food, service and ambiance. We will be back for sure!

Message for Dan (Manager). I visited with my friend back in August 23. We had drinks in the lovely garden as it was a sunny Friday afternoon. My friend originally booked our table for 4pm but we had a lot to catch up on, having not seen each other for many, many years, so we went in and asked if we could change our reservation for a later table. It wasn't busy at all so were told it wasn't a problem. We were even offered to choose where we wanted to sit. It was a hot day so we decided against the conservatory and sat in the main restaurant. The staff were friendly. Even though the pub is in dire need of refurbishment (the seating had faux fur rugs on to cover up the torn seats) we had a nice dinner and dessert. We were having such a lovely time that we stayed for more drinks afterwards. We even went back out to the garden. We had spent quite a lot of money so I was a tad disappointed to receive a parking fine. I contacted the pub immediately to seek their help. I gave my reservation details to prove I was a paying customer. I was advised it wouldn't be a problem and they would cancel it immediately. I contacted them via their website on the same day too. Several calls discussing this with different people, voicemails left chasing them, emails, a discussion with Dan (Manager) and complaints via their complaint/parking fine section of their website. My parking charge is still not resolved. To the point it was sent to a debt recovery company. They were happy to take our money but not happy to keep to their word. To say I am disgusted is an understatement. I have been chasing since August. We are now in a new year so I want answers. I have never experienced this with any other pub that I have visited in the UK. I was assured this would be resolved every time I have spoken to someone in the restaurant. What started out as a lovely lunch/dinner catch up with a dear old friend has been ruined by bad management. We could have chosen so many better managed pubs. To which I hugely regret now. I have been very patient indeed. I'm not the sort of person to leave a 1 star review for no reason but you have left me with no choice. Hopefully someone will read this and pull their finger out. I need this resolved ASAP!!!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH WHITE HART BRASTEAD. YOU MUST DO BETTER!!!!

Just passing the white Hart pub and pulled in the car park at approximately 4:30pm and was greeted by the lovely Molly who was so nice. Had a lovely meal with my wife and daughter. Pub was quiet as it was early. Service by Molly was perfect and un rushed from start to finish and catered for all our needs.Thank you for a lovely experience. Will definitely be back.

Pre Christmas family lunch- Molly gave us first class, attentive, friendly service. The food was acceptable without being outstanding. The atmosphere was very relaxed.

Abysmal, massively overpriced Christmas set lunch. It seems the restaurant overstretched themselves - resulting in poor service (despite the staff trying their best), dry and overcooked meat, small portions, and courses not delivered. If you can’t cope, either sell fewer lunches or charge less than £102! (The restaurant sneakily advertises £92.95 but adds service to the bill) The “amuse bouche” was a couple of small sauce plates of salsa between five people. The Beef Wellington deserves to be on the sole of a shoe somewhere. The worst piece of beef I have ever been served in a restaurant. It was sent back virtually untouched - not that the wait staff would have noticed as we hardly saw them. The turkey may have been nice in the first seating, but by the time we were served it was dry and tasteless. I can’t comment on the last course as it never arrived. Even the Christmas crackers were dud, with three out of five of them missing jokes! The desserts were quite good, though, which suggests they are capable of better things when not trying to gouge customers on Christmas day. But today, they should be ashamed.

Hey there everyone, I usually don’t really do reviews but once I came and ate at this restaurant I had to! It was the best food I had eaten in such a long time. I had a steak that was cooked to perfection and my wife had a Turkey which was so juicy. The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing and the facilities were all good. The staff were really friendly and overall just great. I will 100% be returning from now on. Amazing work white hart team!

We had a Christmas party for a group of 14. We brought our own crackers and serviettes which the waiter placed on our table beforehand. We were given a table which was in a separate area and private. We could email our menu choices before the meal. The food arrived timely and spot on as we have ordered and it was delicious. The service was great and everyone working at the pub very friendly. All my friends had asked that we have our Christmas party at the White Hart every year as they were so impressed. Thank you White Hart for serving us with excellence!
