Went there with three friends for afternoon tea - absolutely amazing! Gorgeous cakes and scones - delicious and beautifully presented. A tasty selection of sandwiches too. Service was fantastic. We all so much enjoyed the experience and excellent value for money.

I would not recommend the spa day at Brands Hatch Place. The facilities are very dated and in serious need of modernization. We paid £200 each, which included lunch with champagne, but the hot lunch options were limited to an omelette and chips or sandwiches, and the dessert was inedible. There was no check-back from the staff or anyone to give feedback to. The lady serving was very slow, managing both the bar and tables, and didn’t seem familiar with the products available. We even had to ask for the drinks that were supposed to be included. Overall, it felt poorly organized and not worth the price. Disappointing experience!

Had afternoon tea yesterday, lovely location, we were a table of 6. Only 2 other tables of 2 in the room. We ordered hot drinks for 5 and one cold drink. 3 got drinks came out with the cold one, then waited a good 10 minutes for the rest, so some people had finished there's before the others came out. Afternoon tea came out, lovely little starter tart, but we didn't get the fondant biscuit it said on the menu. The sandwiches were lovely, the scones were warm and fresh. The top layer though was a bit of a let down. Too many soft things, panna cotta, mousse, orange delice. All very sweet and a bit sickly. We all saved the macaron til last but it was not nice, dry, no chewiness, flavourless and the amount of food colouring in it dyed our fingers and teeth 😁 Overall not the best afternoon tea I've been too especially for the price of £35 They did however do a lovely little plate for the birthday girl which was a lovely touch.

Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms were a great size, some features a little worn, but nice all the same. Bar staff were exceptional, with table service and nibbles on demand and very fast service. Breakfast was exceptional, and the service was excellent. Dinner service was very slow, but once served, food was lovely. Treatments were very good and facilities were beautiful. We used the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. There is also a gym with gym classes, too.

I’ve just returned from eating Saturday lunch here with the family. The quality and presentation of the food was amazing and we had the option to choose from three starters, three mains and three desserts. A children’s menu was also provided for my granddaughter. Toby, our server, was polite and attentive - checking several times if everything was to our satisfaction. It was a great place to go to eat for a special occasion.

We spent a Sunday lunchtime here on the 2nd, and thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal. Opting for the two course lunch my wife and daughter had the roast beef which was tender and melt in the mouth. The mushroom and pearl barley risotto was my choice and tasted excellent. Dessert was good too. Although the glass of wine, was expensive, we felt the service, food and friendly banter from our server Sam and her team clearly outweighed the wine cost. Highly recommended for lunch.

Average at best but priced at £50 for two wasn’t really value for money. Only what amounted to x1 sandwich each, other across 4 different fillings/finger sandwiches. But the sandwiches and cakes had clearly been made a while beforehand and left in a fridge as they’d lost their flavour and freshness. Overall average and rather bland unfortunately. Really nice selection of loose leaf teas. Service was tricky to get hold of anyone and wasn’t personalised in anyway unfortunately.

After reading the description from the website I was expecting a fabulous, plush hotel with the finest facitlities in a luxury atmosphere.. found the rooms to be very dated, 80s wooden furniture, no mini bar or fridge, old fashion bathrooms with rusty plugs, cracks in the sink. Not very clean. Decided to take a bath after a long day and laid down to look up and notice the previous inhabitants shower soap scum all over the tiles. The biggest shock was the food. I was very surprised the prices that where being charged for normal food. It wasn’t anything special or exquisite. Not much for vegetarians. One option for main meal. Decided to go for the risotto as I particularly like risotto. Arrived nicely presented, but was the weirdest concoction I’ve ever tasted. Strange lentil style risotto, over cooked and tasted like gruel. Absolutely disgusting, was like something you had in rations during the war. Couldn’t eat it, was heaving. Staff very nice, however a lot of money needs to be invested in the rooms, massive updates and a different menu with more realistic prices or a higher class chef. Something isn’t working. Wouldn’t return.

We had been led to believe that this was going to be "the ultimate fine dining experience in Kent" with imaginative food prepared from fresh local ingredients "with passion and imagination". We didn't know that they stopped doing fine dining a couple of months ago and are now offering below par pub-type grub (burgers, fish & chips, hotpot, etc) at fine dining prices. Not good enough!

After looking online and seeing the spring lunch menu offer I booked for 2pm bank holiday Monday. We stay at Buxted Park Hotel and always have fantastic, service and food. We were not greeted in the restaurant and when finally we got the barmaids attention she took us too our seat and before I’d even sat down she asked me what I’d like to drink.. I asked for a cocktail or drink menu and she ummed and arred as to whether they did cocktails then got me the wine list. We were very disappointed that the food menu was nothing like the one shown online and had none of the options shown online. Yes it was a sample menu online but this one was completely different so we asked to look at the main menu which had limited choice too. We waited ages for our starter and the waitress said they had a trainee chef.. the starter was lovely and well presented. Our main was fish and chips not what we expected to have but we didn’t want curry and rice or risotto which were the other options both rice based!.Another member of staff came and explained the mix up with the menu she was very professional and pleasant and we were happy with her speaking to us. When we came to pay the bill we were charged full price not the spring special and that had to be sorted out too as he didn’t realise about the spring offer. It’s a shame the Service was a bit hit and miss as we’ve not experienced that at Buxted Park Hotel, I think the standard should be the same across all the Hotels in the group.

Booked to have the Chocolate Afternoon tea with 2 friends (2 of us being Chocoholics). Sadly we were all extremely disappointed. The sandwiches were very ordinary and when we asked for more sandwiches there was an extra charge. The cream and chocolate to spread on the scones was tasteless. The chocolate cakes were even more disappointing consisting mostly of dry sponge and craggy chocolate frosting. Definitely needed the bottle of Prisecco we ordered to wash it down. We all left a lot big the cakes. The staff were very friendly but unfortunately we ordered a second bottle of Prosecco and no one came and took away our dirty plates and as the staff weren’t particularly visible the plates were still on the table when we left. The restaurant was not at all busy, only our table of 3 and two other tables of two. One of the group had some vouchers from previous stays at another of the company’s hotels which meant that we did not pay the advertised price which is lucky as I would have felt particularly cheated. Unfortunately I would not be able to recommend this afternoon tea to anyone else.

We originally stayed at the hotel two years ago when we got married and returned today to celebrate our anniversary with afternoon tea. It was a massive disappointment. The sandwiches were bland with poor quality fillings - no smoked salmon as promised but tinned tuna. The cakes were pretty much all the same and rather stodgy and it would have been better to have a mini dessert and fruit to add colour and lightness. There were only three tables occupied and yet we were still not seated near the window with light and views. Although I had told the booking clerk that it was our anniversary it was clear that no one knew - or seemed to care! The ladies’ toilets downstairs were all missing useable locks on the doors and were very shabby and although we talked to the duty manager there seemed little concern for our experience. We were very upset as this was certainly not a 4 star experience and we have had better cream teas at local cafes. With more imagination and care the catering could have been much better, offering more exciting food. As it was, just bland and unappetising. Such a pity.

So this was my first visit here for a few years. Actually made a reservation because web-site did not seem to be working to book a table so I telephoned to make sure they were open. This is especially significant it seems! Arrived to some confusion- no-one was expecting me! Why did this matter? Because this restaurant only cooks to pre-order I was told and so none of the finer cuisine on the a la carte menu was available to me!! I could only order from the bar snacky menu which by its very nature is limited This was a real disappointment and not in the game plan. Also showed poor management at the restaurant as surely anyone telephoning should be aware and order accordingly? Waiter was great however and I had a beer and a wine and ordered and was shown to table at the back on 2 eating areas comprising the restaurant Looked like being a lonely meal as I was the only one there but I came prepared with a newspaper and settled down 10 mins alter 2 ladies and a very young baby arrived at the table next to me! Now kids are great but why in an otherwise empty restaurant choose to put us close together? Clearly privacy was compromised for their discussion and my peace was shattered-low marks again guys! Totally unnecessary I suggest. Beer was fine, wine list looked good but no-one is going to experiment much with just a bar snack Overall place is clean and bright, cant comment really on food, lack of good management was appallingly obvious, service such as it could be was good Bar is incredibly small and limited but apparently there are plans to expand this area I will try this again and report once more afterwards-for the moment low marks

This was our third visit as a family for afternoon tea but on this occasion we were somewhat disappointed. The bread was a little dry and I suspect the sandwiches had been prepared prior to our arrival. The scones were a little on the small side but were fresh and delicious, however, one pot of the “clotted cream” had melted and had turned to liquid as soon as the plate stand was set on the table and we had to ask for it to be replaced and feel that this should have been checked beforehand. It also became embarrassing to repeatedly ask for the milk to be replenished as two very small jugs is not enough for a few people drinking two or three cups of tea/coffee each. The cakes that accompanied the tea were very tiny and the slices very thin although again, they were delicious. The staff were obliging and friendly and the setting perfect.

I took my partner and daughter for Father’s Day afternoon tea, After a warm welcome and friendly staff. Sadly the afternoon tea was a total disappointment. We was changed £21 each for a small soup bowl of salad, a ramacin of prawn cocktail. Two small pieces of bruschetta and half a cheese and ham toasted sandwich. I can not understand how this can be called a afternoon tea. It was completely over priced and totally underwhelming. After we left we had to go somewhere else for something to eat as we were all still hungry. I have emailed the manager about this matter but sadly had no response. This experience totally ruined the Father’s Day we was hoping to give my partner.

This is the third time (maybe fourth?) I've visited the Brandshatch place hotel. I enjoyed it the first time, and but since it's been under new management, it's just got better and better. I do generally try and review all hotels I stay at but this deserves a proper mention because it's just so unique; a really well run, well cared for hotel that has a one-of-a-kind feel to it. The service from all staff, from reception to bar and restaurant, is superb, and I've seen some of the same staff in the 18 months or so I've been coming here, which I found to be a rarity in hotels these days.On this occasion, I went with a friend for a Sunday break which included afternoon tea, dinner, bed and breakfast. We stayed in an executive twin room which was bright, large and spotless. The room comes with a Nespresso machine, the beds are firm and have great linens and there are bathrobes etc. in the wardrobe. There were a number of guests just there for afternoon tea, and I'm not surprised. The standard (and quantity) is very high and the waiter was extremely pleasant. At dinner; the food in the restaurant has always been good but has just got better and better. We ate from the Table de Hote, and the choices were excellent; The food offered is top quality, beautifully prepared, bread freshly made on at the hotel, and the service was excellent. The breakfast was equally great; a wide choice of cold buffet items, including homemade jams etc. along with numerous cooked breakfast options. Quality was absolutely superb and food was piping hot. In the spa area, there's a brilliant gym (lucky, with all this food!), a fitness training room and a spinning studio, along with a good pool, Jacuzzi, steam room etc. Treatments are good too.. apologies as my review focussed more on the food and relaxation! but please do ask if you want more info about the more energetic aspects :-)I'm now planning a return visit with 5 friends for February, so I guess that demonstrates further my recommendation.

It’s a crowded marketplace, with an ever-growing breed of artisan coffee brands opening every day, Brands Hatch Place is a welcome oasis in a busy arena. But like the food didn't give it to us until we asked several times for it . And then we waited and waited and finally after an hour and a quarter we got our afternoon tea..... And what a disappointment it was. Crusty, dry sandwiches , scrambled egg in a cup ( not sure what it was meant to be ) and tasteless scones, served with a small variety of other cakes it was a real let down . If this was what the chef was happy with I dread to think what the first lot of food was like !No apology, no check back and No wont be visiting again !Luckily the day wasn't ruined as it was wonderful to all be together , just a shame we chose here !

There was a mix up over a bottle of wine we ordered and I must admit the waitress wasn't very good at explaining the mix up but it wasn't anything that would ruin the experience. The sandwiches are simple and straight forward, the scones were lovely still a little warm from the oven. I would probably have liked a little more cream and jam (we didn't ask and I'm sure had we they would have obliged). A chocolate pot that came with the cakes was delicious with sharp raspberries at the bottom which cut through the richness. Am I alone in wanting scones after sandwiches and before cakes? Anyhow, after we finished sandwiches we managed to get attention of not one, but 3 staff to ask for scones and, you've guessed it, we waited and waited and waited. When they came they were lovely and warm and tasty. Cakes were also very moreish. No problem getting refills of tea and coffee. The staff were lovely, food excellent but service was terrible. Not the service I would expect from such a lovely hotel with plenty of staff on duty. Would come again for the food if I was prepared to wait!

Was so looking forward to treating my daughter-in-law to afternoon tea for her birthday, all i can say is what a let down. £48 for for a few stale sandwiches, a few cakes which 3 were bite size... included in the price was a glass of champagne (or maybe prosecco) ...service, well what can i say, very pleasant but not very professional, i asked for a cocktail menu, basically i was told not to bother as they wasn't very good, although he did ask what i liked, my daughter-in-law was in the loo, so he said he would come back to see what she preferred (never mentioned it again) ...we decided to pay up and retire to the bar where we could look at the drinks menu. (no cocktail list) so we thought we would have a bottle of Prosecco (£41) i stood waiting at the bar for ages, eventually someone came through and called for one of the waiters to serve us, no one did, so i walked to reception, no one there, finally the man (who asked someone to serve us came back) he couldn't of been any more apologetic, served me, said he would send the girl over with it....at last!!! although she was very pleasant, as she started pouring, it began to drip all over my bag, and over the table, no apologies, no wiping up. we had been here a couple of years ago and had a lovely experience. such a shame. will i return here again, no...at the end of the day I'm so pleased my daughter-in-law is great company so we still had a lovely time. i couldn't care about the money if the food and service were good!

My friend and I enjoyed afternoon tea here on a very rainy afternoon. The staff were friendly and inviting, particularly Kenny who ensured he regularly checked on us for tea top ups. On the day that we visited, the hotel was busy hosting a large group of ladies from the WI who were out celebrating their 100 year anniversary. Despite them being busy, the service was impeccable and at no time did we have to wait for our sandwiches, tea, cakes and scones. All were delicious and there was far too much for us to finish. This hotel is set in lovely grounds with easy disabled access, amble parking in the beautiful Kent countryside. You would not know that it is situated within easy access to the M20, M25 and the A20 and just a short drive to Bluewater shopping centre.

This hotel is part of the Hand Picked chain, convenient for Brands Hatch and set in lovely countryside. We like to take advantage of the several offers the chain regularly advertises and I have stayed in a few of their hotels but Brands Hatch Place is my favourite. The service is attentive and friendly and the food, both for evening meals and the breakfast, is of superb quality. The rooms are lovely - clean and well furnished and the beds are comfortable. There is a spa and a swimming pool - ideal for an early morning swim before breakfast. This is a lovely place to just spoil yourself for a night. Their Sunday night package is excellent value. Highly recommended.

We had booked for an afternoon tea for 5 of us on Saturday as a surprise for a friends birthday. The food was delicious and was brought out to us in good time and the variety of teas on offer was delightful. The staff were all friendly, helpful and assertive. We all had a lovely afternoon. I will be highly recommending this to friends and family and will definitely be coming again, thanks again for making my friends birthday special.

Visited Brands Hatch Place for a surprise 'Afternoon Tea' Birthday Party for my neighbour today. There were eleven of us altogether and we had a very enjoyable afternoon. The service was very attentive, the range of tea on offer was explained to us and we had great fun choosing and brewing them! The sandwiches, cream scones and cakes were very nice too! A big thank you to Emma for helping us to book the event and to Kenny and staff for their excellent service!

Afternoon tea was booked for my twin sisters 50th birthday my mum my daughter & myself & was a treat we were really looking forward to only to turn out a disappointing experience. Service was poor, was told they had a function on so extra busy !!! Which is a poor excuse why let customers book if you can't give good service? Tea wasn't extra hot due to fashionable tea pots never seen pots like it before. We were told scones were in oven so we waited & asked several times where were they only to be told in the oven well after an hour our scones arrived hard as a rock & rather brown !!!! They had clearly been in the oven a long time & we knew we had been forgotten. We were asked how our experience was going & was asked to be truthful by our waitress so we told her we were dissapointed she said she was sorry to hear this & offered us complimentary drinks & would take money off the bill. Although our waitress tried to put things right it was no excuse for our awful experience which we wanted to be a day my sisters wouldn't forget It sure was that!!!!AWFUL definitely wouldn't recommend

Our family enjoyed a 60th birthday lunch (party of 19) at the Brands Hatch Place Hotel which I didn't even know existed which is weird as I have been racing at Brands Hatch for over 30 years however the food was very average and not up to the standard you would expect at this price, and which spoilt an otherwise enjoyable day.

I'm reluctant to write a bad review, as I've always been of the opinion that if something is wrong you should deal with it at the time, and give the owner/manager or whoever a chance to rectify the problem, Im unable to do that in this case as I was an invited guest and did not want to embarrass my host. The afternoon tea here was very poor, for lots of reasons, the assorted tea bags were in a large box in the middle of the table, not very attractive, and the hot water was brought in, in sealed metal dispensers, our one was very grubby on the outside and had a chipped spout, if that wasn't bad enough the jug smelt of coffee, and the water had a coffee taste to it, we did ask for it to be changed, but the same pot came back with fresh water, there was no dish to put the wrapper or tea bag in either, making the table look very messy. The sandwiches consisted of, ham, egg, cream cheese or salmon, none of which had any flavour at all, and the white bread ones must have been made quite a bit earlier as the bread was very dry, as if they had been left uncovered. The 'home made' cakes were very poor too, a brownie, macaroon, mini choux bun and mini lemon pie were not good at all, the scones were only just ok. The young waitresses were lovely though, so no problem at all with the service, just the actual offering was very poor. Overall a disappointing experience, and could not reccommend the afternoon tea to anyone.

Hello a short story about customer service we attended an event here recently and at the first course of soup were given a bread roll i asked during this time to one of the waiting staff could i possibly have another one the answer i was given i will come bother back to you sir he did return and then told me that the chef had to cook these i accepted this answer but then a short time after another table were all given extra rolls its not about the bread roll its about not being bothered about trying to give the customer what he asked for its called customer service but the rest of the meal was fine

It is a while since we came here, because of previous issues,I am so glad that we came,my husband booked it as a birthday surprise,we were swiftly seated at a table of our choice, tge restaurant was busy enough for a nice ambience but not too busy that we felt neglected.quite the opposite the staff were appropriately attentive ,but not "in your face" they were friendly and more than happy to make slight adaptations to the menu,my very fussy veggy husband was more than happy! We were served an amuse bouche of chicken boudin, for me and really delicicious Parmesan crisps for Dudley,we then both started with a goats cheese, beet root and orange dressing, delicious ,I then had duck two ways, with mange tout, fondant potatoes and perfect carrots, with a divine jus,Dudley had a Wellington of leek and spinach, which by the ecstatic look on his face, was very good indeed! To finish Dudley had an intense chocolate brownie with lemon meringue ice cream, not as described on the menu as he does not like chant illy cream, the waitress was very happy to accede his request.I had the most exquisite raspberry soufflé and white chocolate sauce,oh my goodness! It was divine ,the only time I have ever eaten one as good was cooked by Michelle Roux.We will definately return to this wonderful place, time and time again.Well done!

We booked a table for 9 people as it was our friends 40th birthday. We were shown to our table and said we were waiting for one other person to arrive. They bought all the sandwiches and cakes out straight away but we were still waiting for another guest to arrive so it made it very awkward. We had asked to see the wine list and had to ask for this twice until they finally brought us it. We asked for some more sandwiches as they were tiny little strips and were told it would be another £5.50 per serving and as for the cakes they were tiny petit fours not exactly cakes, then the scones arrived which not everyone could have because they were all fruit and no plain. We asked for more jam three times as all the portions were so small, more hot water and more tea bags. All the cakes, scones and sandwiches came on plates NOT the traditional three tier platter, which was really disappointing all the other tables around us had them though. We asked for the wine list again as two of us wanted another glass of wine, again we had to ask for this twice and when the waiter gave it to me he smelt of cigarette smoke. When he served our wine, again he smelt of cigarette smoke and so did my glass that my wine was in. He had obviously had a cigarette break and his hands and clothes still reeked of it. I will not be returning it was terrible service and for the price nowhere near enough portions. If it had not been my friends birthday I would have really complained to the manager but did not want to make a scene.

We dined in the restaurant as we were staying in the hotel. The staff were brilliant and full compliments to the chef for the food. Everything we ate was beautifully cooked, flavoured and presented. I dined with my mum and we both had the Ham hock terrine, the lamb and then the vanilla sponge with ice cream. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, even though I was full, I could have easily ate my food all over again!

I have just had afternoon tea and it was just awful. The food had come straight out of the fridge so the sandwiches were very cold and hard. There was condensation on all the plates and this resulted in the cakes and sandwiches being damp. The cake selection was poor and the macaroons were not crisp on the outside they were damp and soggy. The tea was tepid and would not brew. I could go on and on. I have stayed at the hotel so have had breakfast and dined in evening and it was fabulous so expected the afternoon tea to be equally as impressive. Sadly no. Maybe the pastry chef was off sick as I suspect the cakes were no all cooked on the premeises. The scones were cooked in the hotel kitchen but had too much bio carb in hence left an unpleasent taste in my mouth. We were going to book my daughters 18th birthday celebration at the hotel but sadly cannot now due to such a disappointing afternoon tea. Not a huge booking lost but would have been at least 50 guests.

Decor nice also hotel clean. Wouldn't return for price at £17.50 a head.

We had to entertain 3 very senior citizens last Sunday. Having booked for lunch we were looked after superbly by Kenny from Detroit, who is a very welcome arrival from Michigan. He has brought American levels of service to the UK. He could not have done more to make the lunch a happy event even though we explained to him early on that the US custom of 20% tipping is not our norm.

My daughter booked the restaurant here for mothers day. Myself husband, daughter and partner and 18 month son booked for meal. Nice and uncrowded but not geared towards children. We needed high chair for grandson which we were given, which was dirty from previous user. Lucky I had wipes on me. Then grandson got distressed and was slipping down so we got him out and asked for another chair. We were informed they didn't have many high chairs. Anyway finally got one but that had no divider so my grandson would have fell through to the floor, so we took turns to have him on our lap. Food wise it wasn't good either. My beef was bloody and I wasn't asked if I minded. The starter wasn't nice either. Not a place I would return to for a meal.

My husband, daughter and I had afternoon tea in the restaurant, which was a disappointment from start to finish. We arrived at the restaurant and had to stand around waiting to be shown to our seats. The table wasn't completely set-a plate was missing and had to ask twice before somebody eventually brought one to the table so ewe could start eating. Cappucino was served cold and was replaced with a new one but had to wait some time for it. You can imagine my chagrin when found a piece of string/cotton inside my scone. The staff were inattentive and not particularly phased when we complained. We have been to many afternoon teas and by comparison, the selection of sweets and sandwiches was at best average. My husband complained to the manager, who immediately commented on the fact that my husband is foreign and speaks with an accent (English is his first language), which was rather offensive as that is completely irrelevant to the complaint. The point was to highlight the issues we had so that they can make improvements to stop this type of thing happening again, but the manager was stuck on offering vouchers to smooth things over. Fair enough but seems that he missed the point. Maybe we were just unlucky, but we definitely won't be going back here.

Staff not really on the ball and we stood waiting when we arrived without anyone instructing us what to do. We noticed the cakestands were already prepared and we standing uncovered in the dining room and, in fact, the sandwiches were a bit dry so with the amount of time we waited for the tea and sandwiches already prepared they could have done them when we arrived and they would have been fresher. There were only two parties that afternoon 5 of use and 3 on another table but it took ages to get when we had come to enjoy, Also there was a huge bluebottle flying around and it worried me that with the sandiwches and cakes uncovered the bluebottle may have landed on the food. We pointed it out and they got rid of it thankfully. We had to ask for more tea as it was not offered and I think the staff were not well trained. A great pity as the surroundings did not match the experience.

We celebrated our 70th birthday today with senior school friends at Brandshatch Place Hotel but were a bit disappointed with the SERVICE. They were not very busy but we arrived first but we served after another group of 3 and had to wait a long time even for the tea to arrive. There were 3 members of staff and when we arrived we were left standing without anyone acknowledging we were there until we asked what we should do. We noticed the food was standing ready but as there was a large blue bottle around which we had to ask to be removed, I am worried it could have feasted on the uncovered cake stands with sandwiches and cakes on. The sandwiches were a bit dry and the service was not good. We had to ask for a second pot of tea and milk and then we sat outside on the terrace and there were dirty plates and glasses etc. which had been there quite a lot of while. We walked up the stairs in the gardens among the lilacs and there were bottles strewn on the grass and bottles from the weekend presumably so attention we not paid to detail and with quite a few a staff I think they need to look around and work harder. Disappointing to say the least and would not recommond this place to friends or family.

The setting of the hotel is beautiful and the grounds stunning.Having attended a conference here recently though the service did not live up to expectations. The coffee was cold and the milk ran out, without any staff realising.Lunch was set out in reverse order so that you met your dessert before your starter or main course. The facilities are good, but more attention to detail would improve service.

We enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon tea here, especially the tea! You are given a wonderful selection of tea's, it was like a very enjoyable education and we loved the presentation (even the small hourglass tea timer) so you know exactly when its ready! The sandwiches and cakes were delicious and the scone was warmed to perfection. Great service and very pleasant surroundings. We took a stroll around the grounds and a look at the spa. We are going to return and have a pamper day I think! My only tiny criticism was the restaurant was a little chilly, but it was a freezing cold winters day so it could have been me. The staff were ALL very pleasant and approachable - thank you Brandshatch Place.

Ate in the restaurant two nights running as we stayed at the hotel whilst visiting family. The service is excellent - Beth and Naomi made us, our dog and our family members feel welcome. We were all particularly impressed with their memories as they didn't write anything down but our orders were spot on, and we had some allergens to consider too! The food here is always fantastic, their chef cooks everything to perfection and its delicious. A good range of drinks available including some delicious wines. It a wonderfully cozy dog friendly pub and restaurant.
