We stopped here to break our journey between the Sussex/Kent coast and Hertfordshire. The building is very bright and fresh, with a lantern light in the roof. The tea and coffee were good, served in charming clean vintage crockery. We hadn’t long had breakfast, so asked to share toasted sandwiches and panini, which were delicious, and the staff cheerful cut them in half and served them on separate plates with lovely fresh salad garnish. Would recommend, please visit them.

I popped in mid morning to buy a pain au chocolate but they had run out. Opted for the millionaire shortbread at £3.95 takeaway I got home to find that the chocolate had completely crystallised with a white crust on top. Quite how they can allow items of that quality is beyond me. Very disappointing.

The Teashop in Brasted is simply fabulous. A great little hub for the local community. They serve sandwiches and toasties as well as the most amazing homemade cakes baked by the owner Katrina. Katrina and her staff are so lovely and friendly. Nothing is ever too much. There is a loyalty card scheme too, free cake or coffee for every 10 stamps... such a great idea. Would recommend this lovely welcoming little local business. Brasted wouldn't be the sme without it.

Very pleasant village teashop with a varied menu. The service was excellent. It is usually quite busy. The cupcakes were particularly delectable.. One can travel there by bus .

My mate said that before he retired, 16 years ago, he used to stop here on the back roads commute from his home in London to work at Gatwick; so we gave it a go. Brilliant; lovely building, good sandwich, excellent strong coffee and even nicer staff! And as we promised to come back every 16 years, they offered us a loyalty card?

I had afternoon tea here with my mum. We both agreed it was the best afternoon tea we had ever had. Lovely sandwiches and the most perfect scones served with clotted cream and jam. We had a great choice of cake and we chose coffee & walnut which was perfect. There was also a mini pavlova which neither of us had room to eat, so was given boxes to take away. The staff were so friendly and efficient. Great value for money.

Myself & my husband have been coming to this tea shop for years. I think we’ve seen five changes of ownership. It’s always been lovely but I think it’s probably at its best now with the new owners. Lots of choice from sandwiches to panini’s etc & the home made cake is to die for. The staff are always lovely, so friendly & helpful. If you live in the area definitely give it a try you wont be disappointed. They also do takeaway if you want to sit on the little green opposite on a nice sunny day.

This tea shop is currently open from 11 until 3 Thursday to Sunday, serving sandwiches, panninis, drinks and cream teas, both to eat in and for takeaway. Everything is fresh and delicious, though towards the top end as far as pricing is concerned. (Sandwiches c£5, Panninis £7.95, full cream tea for one £19)

In a beautiful October sky over the small pretty town of Brasted, Spitfires were flying overhead, as we approached The Tea Shop. A lovely local independent tea and coffee shop. (There are tables outside as well as in.) I had eaten there before and was impressed with both the service and the offer, and we were not disappointed this time. The sandwich I had – egg mayo and cress on brown – simple choice, but was very good. Cakes were on show too which looked delicious. Tea served from china tea pot and in cup and saucer – civilised! So, take a break on your journey through Brasted and enjoy a warm welcome in a great little cafe. If you sit outside, you might well see spitfires patrolling our skies.

We visited the Teashop for the first time today. Very friendly staff and calm atmosphere. We had a very good cup of latte and the most delicious slice of lemon drizzle cake. I will definitely go back for the quality of service and of course, to try the delicious cakes baked on the premises.

Went for a bike ride from Croydon to Brasted today and stopped for a coffee and cake at the Teashop. The chocolate cake was deliciously moist with a hint of vanilla and the cappuccinos were of a high standard. I visited a few weeks ago and had the victoria sponge with raspberry which was also superb, I will be coming back to try the carrot cake soon. The service was very friendly and the ambience delightful. I would highly recommend anyone a visit you will not be disappointed.

We held our engagement party here. The venue were accommodating and did the most amazing Greek spread for our guests. We had so many compliments on the food all night and I can't wait to eat here again. All the staff were INCREDIBLE, making it a really special night for us. There is so much choice when it comes to drinks and you get really good value for money, which is hard to come by these days. Not only that the venue itself is in a lovely location, tucked away with plenty of outdoor space and nice interiors. Exactly what you want from a pub and more. I wish I could do it all over again. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

We live a long way from The Greyhound but have visited several times over the last few years. It feels like such a loved place, by the owners and the customers. And so it should be. A warm welcome awaits with a beautiful, comfortable, and inviting interior which is also very dog friendly. And of course, exceptional food. We had the incredible Korean chicken to start, enormous portions, fantastic kick and so nice that it's all such fresh ingredients and home made. Mains of lamb and a burger put other places we've eaten recently to shame. And the service is delightful. You feel like a welcome old friend but the service is professional and unobtrusive. The Greyhound is a little diamond. Nothing we could fault at all and so wish we had something similar nearby. Lovely people, place and perfect food. A rare find.

We dined at the Old Bank and were absolutely blown away by not only the incredible food but also, the inviting atmosphere. Each dish presented meticulous attention to flavour, impressive presentation and delicate textures, showcasing the chefs' innovative approach to British cuisine. We would also recommend the wine flight to accompany the tasting menu - these carefully curated selections of wines accompany each dish, enhancing every course with perfectly complementary flavours! Thank you and see you again soon! :)

From the reviews we thought this place would be buzzing on a Saturday lunchtime, but, on arrival at 130 we were the only customers. The food was good, but perhaps overpriced, and the choices were fairly basic. There was a good range of ales, sensibly a mix of light amber and dark at varying strengths. We will, however, give it another try.

If you are eating here stick to 'difficult to FU' food. Fish and chips/burgers for example. Gastro it is not. Otherwise its a nice countryside pub with a good outside space. Locals were not so friendly, nothing sinister just charmless.
