Superb food and friendly attentive service without pressure. A really enjoyable visit as a birthday treat. Highly recommended!

We had dinner here. The menu is a bit unusual, with not too many homely choices, but we both had shoulder of lamb, which turned out to be a stew. Very pleasant and nicely presented it was too. Staff were (I think) somewhat inexperienced but very keen to do the right thing and there were no mistakes. It must be said that the dining room is rather cramped and the walls are painted dark red, which makes the whole room rather claustrophobic. We took coffee after the meal in the sitting room adjacent. A little biscotti or even a petit four with the coffee would have been a nice touch but was not offered. We enjoyed the visit. £100 two courses for two people, plus bottle of wine and two coffees. That includes a 10% service charge added to the bill. Don'tthey know it's 2023? Just increase the prices by 10% and omit the service charge -- it just rubs people up the wrong way. (Some people will then add their voluntary tip on top anyway.)

Really lovely meal with family. Service was friendly, polite and attentive. The food and drink were excellent. The set menu was excellent value for money at £22 for 2 courses and both menus offered a bit of safety and a lot of innovation. Something for everyone.

Booked for 10 course taster meal for £200 completely disappointed. Not one dish stood out and some not pleasant at all . Have been many times before and always great food not tonight… Staff excellent such a shame about food expected so much more . Will we go again ??? Not sure.

Just to shout out a big thank you to the chef, staff and owners at the New Inn today. I celebrated my 80th birthday with 20 friends. The food and service was great with a thumbs up from everyone around the table. All In all it was a great afternoon. Thank you

The hotel has some character with pleasant surroundings and a good location for exploring Hastings, Battle and the surrounding areas. On the negative side though, it is not easy to walk from the hotel and so needs to start with a drive each day. The room we had was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was not in a modern style and, as always, could do with a refresh but any hotel with older style bathrooms are the same. Breakfast was good enough for us and the bar was more of a lounge area than a real bar with drinks being brought from the kitchen on demand. Still it was nice enough to wind down after a busy day.

We just discovered this restaurant in the grounds of the golf course .We went there for dinner ,although it was very quiet , we enjoyed the food and the staff were friendly . We plan to come back for lunch and see what the view is like .

Chanced upon your Bakery…..,, what a beautiful find…….. x Delicious Baps, quality produce, came out armed with loads of lovely things to try and even bought a yummy Home made Coconut Cake😋 Pleasant ladies serving, friendly fellow customers……… looks like we have ‘hit the jackpot’ !!! I’m a regular visitor to this excellent establishment, recently attended for a 60th wedding anniversary. Once again, first class food and supreme friendly service. Highly recommended

Stayed for the golf school and the food is to a very high level, super tasty, lots of vegetarian options and super friendly staff.

We had the carvery and I have to say the lamb was out of this world and very generous portions. There were seven of us and we all thought it was the best carvery we had ever had. Definitely going back! Thank you for an amazing Mother’s Day …the little plant gift was a lovely gesture too 🩷

The staff are lovely in here, it was a pleasure going in for my tea and a drink. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Check your bank accounts after your meal ,paid by debit card ,server returned to say payment declined as Internet was down ,no decline receipt given .asked for payment again and told 1st payment was rejected. Couple of days later 2x amts out of bank account ,duty managers both failed to ring back after my complaint, told may be another 5 days before I get my money back so 12 days in total . Be very careful if this sceniro happens to you make sure you get a declined receipt and don't believe what the server tells you that payment won't go through.

What a fantastic warm welcome we received today, our Boxer doggie companions were just as welcome with a drinking station for them and even a blanket to lay on! The food was amazing and the IPA was really crisp and perfectly served. Cannot recommended highly enough.
