I went to the Chalet last Saturday and waited like an invisible person for over 5 mins to be served with not so much as a good morning, we will be with you soon, I was just ignored. I walked out and said nothing. (Not wanting to be sarcastic!!!) I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned this morning. Well please come back the Chalet, because what i bought today was absolutely disgusting. I bought the following: Croissant: It tasted like it was made from rubber. Small Bloomer: heavy, not like I like a bloomer, its gone in the bin!!! Cornish Pasty: the biggest disappointment, I was really looking forward to this treat for lunch. It was as dry as a bone, empty inside and extremely under whelming. From here on in, I will vote with my feet and not bother. Sort it out the owners, its is a rip off and a pretence as you are trading under the previous owners good will and intent. Its just NOT working.

Just popped into the Fox and Hounds for a quick bite to eat for lunch, I have to say with the new decor since the recent refurb it looks fantastic. Had a fantastic chicken burger off the £7 lunch menu and it was absolutely delicious. Mike behind the bar was friendly chatty and attentive. Highly recommended. Well done.

Myself and my husband eat out often as it is one of our favourite things to do and this place is by far one of the best. Not only is the food always amazing but so are all of the staff. Karl is an absolute credit, lovely and always accommodating.

Sadly won’t be back again. This is not Indian food. My kids school serves a more flavoursome curry! The sauce in dansak and jalfreezi was absolutely the same: sweet baby purée with no spices or taste difference whatsoever . Dansak had only 3-4 lentils in it and 4 pieces of lamb and jalfrezi had just one pepper and lots of onions and 5 chicken pieces. Complete joke. Tikka tasted like it was steamed for a toddler. How this place even exists is beyond comprehension as the dishes are so lacking in any kind of flavour or ingredients that it is a crime to call it Indian!

Very hit & miss...they just don't know how to make HOT coffee, you ask for extra hot but it's still warm. They don't have the nice traditional bread any more or crusty rolls, not everyone likes sourdough. The previous bakers used to have a long queue on Saturdays for there lovely freshly baked bread, sad to see the decline. Carnt grumble about the cakes, they have a good selection.

Went in with our grandchildren today. Looking forward to having a nice sandwich and some drinks. We had two milkshakes and a latte which were all fine. The problem started with the sandwich. You are offered on the menu sandwich which is shown as cold. The Panini’s are shown as hot. My wife ordered sandwiches, expecting a cold chicken sandwich which we knew the children would eat. After several minutes, the very hot Panini turned up. We were bemused because we had ordered a sandwich. When I took it back to complain, a debate started, and the girl who are taken the order insisted that my wife had ordered a Panini. She would never order a Panini because she doesn’t even like them. We were offered some fries at no extra expense but declined. Not very impressed really..
