Literally THE best coffee I’ve had! My life is fuelled by coffee & not only is this the nicest I’ve had, it’s run by the loveliest of people. I’m a great believer in supporting the smaller, more thoughtful, eco-warrior, family run businesses like this above all others, so get your coffee & beans from these guys! Best roasterie around! (Even my dog gets excited en-route now, as she knows there’s dog treats & a warm welcome involved :) ) Go visit, I highly recommend.

I just wanted to say a huge thankyou to the high spirits team. Over the years it has been a safe haven for hospitality workers. And it wasn't about the bricks. It was certainly the team that made it that way! Take care my loves❤️

Comida muy sabrosa - a nuestros gils les encantó caliente - perros y pierogi ruskie. Mi favorito de todos los tiempos zapiekanka es el mejor! Tienes muchas opciones para elegir. La limonada sabe exactamente como cuando tenía 5 años. Comida de alta calidad, porciones generosas, servicio maravilloso - disfrutamos de todo!

We ate here towards the end of April, pre our late night ferry at Portsmouth. Warm welcome (we had booked a table in advance) and we really enjoyed our chosen meals. Parking was a bit difficult, but we managed to find a pay-for carpark, not very far from The Rocka. Really enjoyed our dishes, service was excellent, and staff weren't fazed by a couple of requests not to have chips, bread etc. Sorry, can't remember exactly what we had, but it was all delicious and we'd definitely go back there when we next get a ferry from Portsmouth.

Been here a few times and had a great experience each time. The food is delicious and reasonably-priced. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Went for my partner's birthday and they even put balloons out which was a lovely touch. It's a small family-run restaurant with one person cooking everything so if you're going in a large group be prepared for it to take a little while if you can't book/order ahead, but it's worth it to support our independent businesses in Reading! The staff also spent some time talking to us about Mauritian food culture which was cool to learn about. I ordered the fish curry which was delicious, my friend ordered the rabbit which he said was great too! Lots of veggie options.

Amazing. Service was mint. Manager is a very cool guy, takes pride in his takeaway and takes pride in his food, the chicken was amazing. I did order the chicken to be hot. I will order it mild next time because the spice levels do go up a little bit. I would definitely recommend this place

This was a great place. Shame that they got closed down by their landlords.

Katsu curry was banging, far better than the one you can get from Wasabi

It you want to experience authentic Lebanese cuisine, this is the place to be.

My chippy of choice when I'm in the area, staff always have smiles on their faces and I can't fault their servings in any way in the slightest. Definitely give them a try, the huge spring rolls are a delight.
