The best restaurants in Bookham South Mole Valley South East

I am a conneisseur of fish and chips as I was brought up in Yorkshire ( God's own country). The fish in particular is truly excellent every time .Generous portions of white chunky fish , cooked to perfection . I challenge you to find better anywhere outside Yorkshire. So come on you soft Southerners , give it a try !

Always made to feel very welcome. Great food, and often something new to try. We stop by more often.

This is run by the grange and encourages some disadvantage people to cook and mix the customers. Although the choice of food and drinks are limited there is enough to choose from . Jacket potatoes were nice. It is very good value and a worthwhile cause.to support, booking in advance is essential

A real old fashioned long standing family bakery in the High Street. Never been here before as new to the area I was welcomed like an old friends. Fabulous scones and cakes plus other tempting items Will be returning

I've been coming to Amici for years now. I find the coffee great, and the service personal and friendly. My chosen spot in Leatherhead.

The service was absolutely great, especially Brian was super nice (and kinda cute;) ) I’d definitely recommend going there!

What an excellent family friendly pub with fantastic food, it was the best roast I have had in years. Going anywhere with an autistic child can be hard but the staff couldn’t do enough for us and made such an effort to make us feel welcome and at ease. The food was not only of an excellent quality, the beef melted on your mouth but the portion size was very generous as well. It was so cheap for what you got and was one of the best value meals I have ever had for the quality and size.

What has happened? We have loved Michael's Fish and chips and go there for a treat, but to be charged nearly £30 for this is shocking. The chips have been cut thinner, the batter was not good and the quantity for what you pay for was wrong. Gutted as really liked them. No reason to put prices up and cut down on the sizes and very greasy, so batter mix I think has been changed. Also had to wait a long time. Sad.

Was a nice pub but carpark is a bit of a joke, crap lighting or am blind but didn't see any signs for paid parking, I pay the fine so won't be returning for date nights were find somewhere else, can't offer a carpark with crap lighting then send a fine, a bit disappointed tbh it was a nice looking pub but if you can't park that is a huge put off and for staff to not say nothing ether shows customers are well looked after, or even a sign warning about the carpark, customer lost!

This was a convenient cafe to meet our friends and their dog before visiting Polesden Lacey which is only a short distance away. It was chosen as it was dog friendly and there is short term free parking here. We all had a hot drink and a cake. It was very ordinary and nothing to write home about,but it served its purpose We did not stay long as we wanted to get to Polesden Lacey as soon as possible. There were a few other customers who seemed to know each other.

Service was more likes canteen proceedure. Coffee was average. However it had a captive market and if you wanted a drink there was no alternative

Does anyone else notice that this cafe is swamped with flies? No? Just me then. Food is ok but very expensive

The food in this establishment is simply appalling. It's is mainly pre-cooked days in advance and just reheated. I ordered the Macaroni Cheese which when it arrived was stone cold! (Interestingly they provide a microwave for customer use, but it wouldn't work!!) So apart from being completely cold there was also a lack of cheese, no sauce and the garlic bread was inedible, it being rock hard! My wife's baked potato was warm, not hot, but it did have a lot of tuna mayo filling (cold). The skin of the potato indicated that it had been baked more than once and several days before and was grey, tough and inedible. We left most of our meals even though we were hungry. As an aside I noticed that one of the chefs in the kitchen had previously worked at PL as a maintenance man with responsibility for cleaning the drains - I hope he had washed his hands!!! Ha, ha, ha.
