Visiting this bakery is like the clock back. A small family run bakery located in the high street . The service is welcoming and personal . The bread id terrific and can be cut thin, medium or thick. Lovely cakes and we ordered the perfect scones. It beats the chain bakeries hands down

Yesterday I had business in the Surrey Hills and I do declare I ate the best ham, egg and chips that any kitchen ever put on a plate anywhere in the world! The winning establishment is the Abinger Hammer tea rooms. Service by the sole proprietor, Anne! I also picked up a couple of surplus squashes from a neighbour’s wall left out for passers by. Kindness and good service may still be a force to be reckoned with!

After a visit to Leatherhaed we were hungry and this restaurant was busy, had a spare table, and looked good so we went in. Good decision as the service was perfect, the food excellent and the price very reasonable.

Came across this lovely little cafe and thought it looked inviting enough to try and so glad we did. Simple choice of breakfasts to choose from and the ones we opted for were delicious, and more than enough to start the day with, particular shout-out for the sausages. A friendly greeting and farewell just added to the fact that independent cafes can show a lot of large chain and high end restaurants just how to do it right. Always one to support local business and we will certainly be coming here again!

My go to in Dorking, food is consistently good. Always have a good menu which changes with the seasons. The mushroom shawarma pictured is one of the best i think they have done. Coffee is also very good. But its the staff who make this place, always very nice, smiley and chatty.

This is run by the grange and encourages some disadvantage people to cook and mix the customers. Although the choice of food and drinks are limited there is enough to choose from . Jacket potatoes were nice. It is very good value and a worthwhile cause.to support, booking in advance is essential
