My favourite plant centre. Cafe and a farm shop. Been passing by for years and went in on a whim and it’s a total gem!! Compared to the ones in Brighton the staff really stand out as absolutely lovely! So helpful, kind, engaged, caring and efficient, nothing is a problem and this means that I’ll come back time and time again. Great range of things in farm shop and the plant centre is first class with so many slightly different variants that you’d find in the more generic garden centres. Their Roses look great, just wish I had more space in my garden at this point!

We visited for a roast on Mother’s Day. We were their second sitting of the lunchtime bookings and when we arrived our table wasn’t ready for 15 mins. Not a big deal as we had a drink at the bar. When shown to our table, service was pretty slow, and when our dinners came out one of them was wrong. Those who had beef weren’t happy at all due to the fact the beef was raw. I like rare beef so swapped my meal with my son’s, but I have to admit the meat was blue! Apart from this undercooked meat the rest of the food was okay, so overall I’d say there were a few easy-fix problems, but it might possibly have been a much better experience on a less busy day (ie not Mothers Day).

A great meal out with a couple of vegetarian friends who declared that, having lived in the area for many years and never been in this restaurant before, it was the best Indian meal they've had since they moved here. For my wife and I it was our first visit, and we'll be going back. Excellent.

Popped into the farm shop for impromptu breakfast, and was not disappointed, The staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly, the food was amazing. We will be back soon.

Booked a table with dogs for Sunday Lunch. We were told we would have to sit outside which is what it is. On arrival we went into the pub and were shown to our table out back. Waiter was friendly but didn’t explain we would have to order inside. Basically if you have dogs or just fancy sitting outside, you have to order everything in the bar. The doors at the back were locked so it means going around the side of the pub into the front - you can’t miss the front door, it has a huge NO DOGS sign. Shortly after ordering our food, the waitress came out with the card machine and asked for payment. This is before the food even arrives at the table. Perhaps they have a problem with people running off but upfront payment without even seeing (never mind eating) our food is ridiculous. I really don’t understand their anti dog policy in this day and age, it wouldn’t have been our choice given this but location wise it worked for a family meet-up from various corners of the South East. The staff were pleasant enough and the food was good. The service and upfront payment was really unwelcome though!
