The best restaurants in Strood South Medway South East

Quite a surprise, this one - went to Strood to go to another establishment for lunch, only to find that said establishment was closed.... wondering where to go, spotted this little place on a walk through to the High Street, and decided to try it out. Bit confusing to begin with as no one behind the counter - then a young lady (staff) appeared from upstairs and showed us to a table and gave us menus. Another staff member arrived and both were really helpful, explaining that we could 'tweak' the options available if we preferred. Outcome was a very pleasant lunch - reasonably priced - and I would go here again for sure 😊

I had fish and chips for the first time in quite a while and I cannot review this highly enough . We had 1 large chips a medium cod and a large cod as I like more chips and wife likes more cod . Couldn't eat it all . It was cooked perfectly and the chips in my opinion are the best around . If I had any complaints it would be that the curry sauce could be a bit spicier but it really is a minor complaint . I would definitely use again . So so good .

Great little place, my americano came in a latte glass but was still fantastic! Great little spot highly recommend over the Sbucks that is nearby.

Absolutely fantastic beautiful food and brilliant quik delivery our new fav Indian takeaway. Will be using again and again.

The food was very bland and not very warm rice was very mushy seemed very rushed the food probably won’t come back again and use somewhere else in the future

It was my husband’s birthday and we chose to come to Manisha with my brother. The decor has been updated and it looks nice and bright and fresh. For starters we had: scallops, fish and king prawn. All three were delicious . Main course was: chicken balti, ocean khazana and tandoori duck, with rice, a naan, vegetable curry, sag aloo and mushroom bhajji. Chef’s cooking is outstanding and we throughly enjoyed our meal as we always do. The menu is different and although they still have the usual meals they produce exquisitely different meals. Throughly recommend this resturant.

Will never go hungry if you buy from here. Portions are huge and the food is cooked to perfection. The youngsters that work here do a great job and are always so polite.

A little disorganised at the beginning as we were handed a lunch menu and there was nothing on it we fancied. Then discovered the other menu. Someone said the barmaid was new, so all excused. We quickly ordered two pie mains as there was a large group deciding on various alterations to the given menu. Have to say the young lady was very patient. The meal came on a stone cold plate but fortunately was hot enough to be ok. Lovely pies and some peas and mash. The killer though was the £24 for a bottle of wine. Available in Tesco for about a £7. Shan’t do that again in a hurry.

First time delivery from Liyanas, the chicken korma was awful, chicken was opaque and definitely reformed rubbish (Liyanas, if you are reading this review, you have to dump the reformed chicken and use real meat??) and it was binned... Tandoori chicken was all bone and little meat. Sag aloo was nice along with the mushroom rice.. Delivery time was as expected on a Saturday night, shame the food didn’t live up to its name? Being local people we always try to support local businesses, however, if they don’t use top quality meat etc, (as they charge top quality prices) we won’t use again!!! Shame..

Great food, good service, very little waiting time

Slightly late but no real problem food was good and hot

We picked up a take away tonight and it’s been binned. Cold, greasy and raw bargees. The second time the food has been not up to the standard it used to be. Not ordering again just badly cooked food, and the flour binding the bargees was raw. Very unpleasant so both of us just tipped it away.

WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER ORDERED FROM got a delivery plated it all up sat down and the noodles i got given tasted like they had left all day so dry ordered chicken balls wouldn’t even feed them to my dog also got some chips cold had to chuck everything in the bin DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE LATE NIGHT
