Darnley Fish Bar in Medway

I had fish and chips for the first time in quite a while and I cannot review this highly enough . We had 1 large chips a medium cod and a large cod as I like more chips and wife likes more cod . Couldn't eat it all . It was cooked perfectly and the chips in my opinion are the best around . If I had any complaints it would be that the curry sauce could be a bit spicier but it really is a minor complaint . I would definitely use again . So so good .

After eating here before I do prefer "Wells fish and chips" Customer service on the phone and within the take away part ,Here I am afraid not so good ,You get an un welcome face ,Think from the partner of the shop whom seems that she does not really want to be there ,So 1st impressions are not great ,As mentioned before GO TO WELLS for your fish and chips but not for KEBABS !.

One of the best, if not the best, chip shops in the Medway area. Always friendly and quality and taste of food always of high standard. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Was my first trying this shop..best fish and chips ive had in a while. Was fresh, tasty and the portion size was great.

As we were staying locally we tried the Fish Bar one evening. The fish was well cooked and with a good batter. The portions of chips were large and crisp. My daughter's scampi was top rate.

Superb quality clean Fish. Big real portions of COD and Chips. Just perfect. Been to chippies all over Kent and none beat this one. I drive 10 miles to get here.

I have been going to this Plaice!! For years and never sent a review. The boss man is a really nice guy and the 2 ladies serving are great as well. Cant beat the fish and vhips best in Medway

Best fish and chips for miles. Also do chid size portions if your appetite is for smaller meals. Well cooked piping hot and cooked fresh.

Always cooked to order, we just ring it though and go and pick it up. Great food every time. Friendly staff.

Lovely fresh fish & chips cooked to order. Friendly staff & good portion sizes. I have used this shop since It has been open. Wouldn't go anywhere else in Strood for fish & Chips unless the quality changed

Great welcome every time, fish freshly cooked often whilst you wait. Generous servings at reasonable prices. Pukka pies always can be relied on!

Called on a Friday evening ordered fish, cod plus cod roe etc Pleasant staff served, all the fish cooked well and in good time. A good food dining experience

Cant go wrong with a curry roll and served with a smile. I must admit sometimes the chips can be hit and miss, but today it was lovely, kudos

Used this takeaway for a couple of years now, traditional Fish & Chip shop but like so many also does Kebabs and Burgers. Food is always fresh and piping hot and prices are competitive. Fish is usually fried to order however busy times like a Friday they sometimes have it ready. Staff are friendly and customer focused, open 7 days a week so you'll never go hungry if you live local..
