Master Kebabs in Medway

I bought meat and chips over the weekend and when I opened the takeaway which was not exactly how I expected. Firstly the chilli sauce was at the bottom of the container, then the doner meat on top then the chips. Obviously there is someone who works there who does not know how to put meat and chips in a food container. The meat was horrible and not the usual quality I get from Master Kebabs, and inside the box it was a complete mess. Its like someone shaked it violently and then served it to me. Very disappointed in the quality of the meat and the whole takeaway I got this time. Therefore I am giving one star for the very disappointing takeaway which I had to throw half of it in the bin.

Personally don’t get the high ratings, expected something better. Most run of the mill Kebab, mediocre for everything served. Put in fancier packing and a clean aesthetic for the shop is what makes it different. Price doesn’t reflect the experience. Asked for certain salad items and just given a prepared salad squashed into a plastic box . Scores down the middle for a middle of the road kebab… albeit a little pricey.

Coal grill, perfection. I had chicken shish/kofte mix, all salad and garlic & chilli sauces. 'Delicious' just about covers it.

"Award-Winning Kebab You Can Taste" This kebab shop deserves all the praise it gets, and their numerous awards, tastefully displayed for all to see, are well earned. The staff were exceptionally friendly, making the visit enjoyable, but the food was the real star. The donner, chicken shish and kebabs were by far the best I’ve ever had — seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. The menu is packed with great options, so there’s something for everyone. If you’re in the area and want a treat, this is hands down the place to go.

The food is to die for but queuing in silence with no banter.

We have heard so many good things about this place and visited all the way from London.. what an amazing experience we had!!! This place is 1000/10!! Food is delicious! We ordered the lamb shish, chicken kebab and doner, which were all incredible. The lamb shish especially, was spiced beautifully and melted in the mouth. The meat was served with fresh salad, bread and tasty sauces. Furthermore, the service is top notch! The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this family-run business to all who are able to drop by. You can tell they all go the extra mile to deliver a good food experience to their customers! We will be making the trip from London again soon!

I went for a wrap. But found the portion size very small. It’s not been the first time one of the workers has given me a small portion. Starting to get fed up with it. Paying the premium price for a small portion. Must be in with the profits. Will go elsewhere from now on.

Don't believe the social media videos - you have been warned. This place is a very small kebab shop which my friend took me too for his birthday lunch. It's seriously overpriced and I won't be going back ever again. The food isn't amazing at all. The service is friendly. It's just a very expensive kebab. Don't bother travelling there especially like my idiot friend does.

Nice food but please check your change as I and other family and friends have been short changed on numerous occasions and they are very over priced too. Make sure you have the correct money if paying in cash.

After moving from London to Kent I thought I I'd never have a decent Kebab again but then, I came across the tastiest Kebab I've ever had. Excellent service by staff

By far the best kebab I have ever had! it truly is something special. Upon entering you will see the back wall full of plaques and awards this place has won over the years. What a great achievement and something to be proud of. The food counter is stacked with all different type of meats the salads are fresh, the place is very clean and the staff are all assigned in uniforms just goes to show this isn't a typical local kebab shop. These guys are next level. Menu is great plenty of options and combinations. I went for the standard lamb donner and chips. The lamb was soft, the chilli sauce balanced well with the meat, salad was fresh and the chips had a crispy coat to it and the burger sauce was delicious. 10/10

Short changed me as the Kebab shop tried when I lived in Folkestone. Gave a 10p instead of a pound in my change ! Never noticed until I got home. So won't go again. Turkish trick? Fish & chips were awful too.

Ordered 3 keebabs which were delicious , people say it costs more here but its worth it for the quality , ordered online & food was ready on time , May be a small detail but the packaging they wrap your food in is very good ,

I first tried a couple years back I was a bit underwhelmed. Was in the area today and thought I would give a second chance. I was not disappointed the doner was good but the kofte was out of this world, the best I’ve ever tried. Well done lads !

Decided to try these guys after all the hype, after spending over 60 pounds was a little disappointed with sizes and taste., after a fantastic conversation with management and a second try, I can say the second time round the food was great the portion sizes were so much better. I will happily go here again and recommend to others

Master Kebabs in name and in food. I had the pleasure of having their lamb/chicken shish and doner with salad. All three were cooked to perfection and the flavour was delicious. You could taste their special marinade and the char from coals. The salad was fresh also. Make sure to get the red cabbage. What an experience. Nothing but 5*s!

At 7:15pm on the first Friday of the month this place was absolutely heaving! I had ordered online but still had to wait half an hour despite there being at least half a dozen staff running ragged behind the counter. This goes to show just how popular Master Kebab is, and for good reason. Food was hot and delicious. People come here from far and wide for their good food!

I come all the way from Sittingbourne to this kebab. No other kebab shop beats it, i personally think its even better than the famous Best Kebab in North London! The meats melt in your mouth like lokum!

You WILL NOT get better kebabs anywhere else unless you book a flight to Turkey! Highly recommend the Masters Platter to get a bit of everything! You won’t regret it! In a league of its own. Faultless. Melt in the mouth lamb, perfectly marinated wings, and non greasy doner meat. Sauces are fresh rather than bottled. Staff are courteous and efficient. The perfect kebab shop is not in North London, but in Gillingham.

First time using MK - parking outside great if you can get a space. Had heard the food was great. More than lived up to expectations thankfully. Very busy when we went in which was nice to see. Ordeeed the master special and chips and there was plenty of food for three. Every piece of meat was tender and delicious - the lamb was incredible. Just melted in your mouth. Glad I only ordered one portion of chips. More than enough. The flatbread was lovely. Nice to have some variation in bread not just pitta (although the pitta was lovely and fresh too). Highly recommend- will definitely be back.

This shop wins awards and is very popular. BUT, having ordered a chicken kebab, I was disappointed to find that I have a DIY kit instead! Pitta bread on its own. Tub of salad. Small box of chicken. Looks like half the chicken on the skewer made it's way into the box too. Sauces only on the chicken so the salad and pitta have none. Very unappetising.

Master Kebabs is by far the best kebab in Medway! Food is always (and I do mean always) delicious, the staff are always friendly and polite. I've been going to masters for over 12 yrs now and have never had a bad kebab, and in all honestly, I have never had a kebab yet that hasn't beaten there's!

Great food but it is very busy and a wait of more than 15 minutes can be expected if you haven't ordered by phone (which may take some time to get through). Lovely staff.

The prices are very high but I suppose as I always see plenty of people and a continuous que they get away with it. They use the same tongs for all the different types of salad, so if you don't like something in particular you may well get cross contamination as they can't afford 3 sets of tongs even though they take over £500 an hour at peak times. The food is good and they have certificates on the wall. The staff are efficient.

Without a doubt, the best Kebab shop in the country. All the awards they have won back this up. The meat is excellently cooked and tastes so fresh. Every meal that I've ever had from there has been absolutely delicious. The premises are so clean you could eat your dinner off the floor. The chefs look absolutely fantastic in their whites. The staff are so friendly and most welcoming. If ever you are in Kent, you need to pay them a visit.

You just cannot compete with the food here, it’s outrageous, I say it constantly and have been visiting since it opened. The quality of meat is far superior than any meze in Medway. Saying that my one small complaint is the online ordering, surely if you order & pay online and are given a time to collect, if you turn up at that time your food should be ready to collect, many a time I turn up, you have to say your order name then wait while it’s put together, whilst people who have just walked in pay and leave with there orders. Very frustrating. Be even better if you could get Uber or just eat ? Or better still a restaurant:) Like I said long live Masters xx

Some of the reviews on here are right, you pay a little more here than others in the area but it’s so worth it. Everything is always of excellent quality and we have been here many times. The only feedback I would give is that I enjoy it when the pitta bread gets permeated with the meat & veg juices/salad/sauce and with having it all presented separately, this doesn’t happen and the pitta remains “dry”. I’d love it if the option was given to have it all put together straight away when ordering a single kebab. However, this is just a small gripe as the quality of the food renders this unimportant.

Restaurant quality takeout! I saw the extensively positive reviews and wanted to try this place for myself! My brother was raving about this place when I mentioned it to him, so we decided to order from here! A gem! Can’t believe I’ve only discovered this place! We got a Masters platter and it did not disappoint! Each type of meat was cooked very well and tasted delicious! The garlic and chilli sauces were really tasty too! I would say the platter was a generous portion with the meat and pitta! I wish we could have gotten more than 2 pots of sauce given the amount of meat. So I would advise to get extra sauces for the platters! It was busy and the queue was outside the store (which speaks volumes) and they did not compromise on the quality of the food despite it being a busy period! Definitely worth the wait! I would definitely recommend and order from here again!

Easily the best kebab in the area. I’m just upset I’ve lived in the area for two years and only just found this place. It’s busy during peak times but that’s just a reflection of how good this place is. Order ahead. Their platters are a fantastic mix of meats and even wings, which are a nice touch. Even just a donner in one of their soft breads is unbelievable!! The sauces are a winner too. This place needs more locations with the same food or even a dine in restaurant. Hopefully one on my doorstep. Fantastic

I'd heard lots of good things about this place but, honestly, I thought a kebab is a kebab. I decided to give it a try though and I'm really glad I did! This place really does take Kebabs to another level. I ordered a chicken and doner combo and asked for everything separate which, luckily, is how they serve the food anyway. The meat is really well marinated and comes pack in a heat sealed box to keep it fresh and hot which I've never seen before. Even the pitta bread is better quality and had a slight crisp on the outside from the grill but was really, fluffy and fresh inside. I paid a bit more than usual, about £16 as opposed to 12 or 13 but really well worth it. I can't see myself going back to another kebab show after trying this. Well deserved 5 stars.

Went down to tasty the food after seeing best kebab shop on YouTube. The kebab is no better than your average kebab. Nothing special, the homemade garlic sauce is too overpowering need to be toned down, made the kebab taste awful. If it wasn’t for the sauce, I think it would average kebab.

Tried this place after seeing it on “Food Review Club” Ordered their 3 kebab deal. 2 x chicken shish and 1 lamb doner. Food was delicious. Chicken was lean and melt in your mouth. I am fussy with chicken but no complaints here. The doner was tasty and not fatty. The salad was packed separately in a box and was tasty and fresh. Staff are friendly and organised. Not playing to the camera when filmed. Genuine. Working so hard in the heat but still helpful and professional. Only gripe was I was called Samantha when my food was ready - not Amanda. Only joking Master Kebabs. You are certainly the masters for sure. Thank you for tasty food. We will be back for more!!
