The food was very bland and not very warm rice was very mushy seemed very rushed the food probably won’t come back again and use somewhere else in the future

They did not check the notes added to order so was unhappy with what I received. The saag paneer was cold and not the best.

Food is very tasty. Hot and on time. Make sure to order popadoms though… the days of free popadoms are way gone!!

It's the best Indian takeaway in the locality. Others aren't even half as good.

Lamb was tough as boots, popadoms were burned and my partner and I both have upset stomachs this morning. Used to be good food but this was shocking, won’t be ordering again!

we always get butter chicken without fail as its creamy and delicious, tried something different called the chicken lababdar, the description says similar to butter chicken but more divine... AVOID if you're a butter chicken fan avoid this, very misleading description the lababdar is very overpowering with a heavy cashew taste, other than that our butter chicken was creamy and amazing as always!

Have used Balti Express since Christmas after being recommended by our neighbour who has used them for years. Without a doubt would not go anywhere else for our Indian takeaway, the food is out of this world, incredible service, these guys have no competition whatsoever. Would highly recommend

The driver told us that he was not going to deliver to us as he needs to travel from Strood. Not sure why they accept the order if they do not want to deliver. Very disappointing. Spoil my mood for dinner.

Curries were stronger flavours than we are used to, but heat levels good. Sadly the onion bhajis were overcooked and naan bread was undercooked. Waited 90 minutes for delivery but friendly driver.

Today 100 teachers were catered for end of term lunch. Every single person said how much they enjoyed all of the food. All dietary requirements were catered for including vegan. Communication was excellent throughout. 5***** service and will definitely use again. Thank you and well done!!!!!

The food was late with no message to say so. I had to phone to chase because the status said delivered and it hadnt been. Then all of a sudden this changed... The guy on the phone lied and I've taken screen shots to prove this. Food was a bit bland. Not all but the bombay and sag aloo definately. And two curries leaked in the bag so we had to clean up before even eating. Not very impressed.

I ordered at just after 6pm, the delivery time quoted was 6.45pm. It was then changed twice, eventually arriving 10 minutes after the final estimate at 8.25pm. I called the restaurant at7.55pm and was told the delivery would be 10 minutes. As I said above, it finally arrived at 8.25. Absolutely terrible service, the restaurant told me they didn’t have enough delivery drivers. As I said, in that case don’t accept the order, and I could have gone elsewhere.

There was apparently an issue with just eat meaning our order had not been processed. Nearly 3 hours later, eventually had our order delivered by the manager. Food was good, just a shame it took so long. Order placed at 1816 sat down to eat at 2115

Absolutely loved the food, I was so impressed at this hidden gem in Rochester. The chicken biryani was one of the best I've had, and believe me, I've had a lot of chicken biryani in my lifetime. The chicken garlic chilli masala, so savoury and perfect. Really happy with the food, will definitely order again. A happy customer

Not out to hurt peoples business, but food wasn't cooked fresh very dry and reheated sheek kebabs had white fat on them and cold. Bombay aloo was potatoes in just oil and biryani had good flavour but again definitely not fresh. Can't understand why companies charge what they charge and deliver poor product, you're killing your own business. Also was late. Won't be ordering here again good reputation is hard to come by. Hope the owner takes note

Ordered at 17:30 for delivery at 19:00. At 19:10 got a message to say delivered. Called to restaurant to say we have not received the order, they said it’ll be on its way soon. 19:40 get a text to say it’s been cancelled. Called to ask why and they said they are now busy and can’t do the order.

By far the best indian takeaway around Rochester. The food is always amazing and having recently contacted them about a delay on a busy Saturday night , (because of an incident which wasn't under their control), I now know their customer service is as excellent as their food. Other businesses could learn from the great care they take of their customers. Thank you so much guys. Your gesture was greatly appreciated

Took over 2 gourmet for the food to arrive. When it did it was stone cold and one of the items had spilt all inside the bag. They do not answer their phone at all and also refused to give any compensation for their incompetence. Never ordering from them again, which is a shame because I had always liked their food but their service has gone very down hill.

My favourite Indian food locally but very late in delivery this time . I know it was a Saturday and busy but to have to wait over 2 hours is disappointing

It took nearly an hour and a half for the food to arrive, was mediocre at best, and the order was incomplete. I had to call twice to find out where the food order was. The person I spoke to was incredibly rude! However the delivery driver was lovely, she apologised for the delay, maybe the owner could take some lessons from her on how to treat customers. Personally, I won't be ordering from these people again.

Very good food, we ordered a variety of dishes and they were all very tasty. I ordered at 6 pm for 8 and was given 8:30 delivery slot which arrived at 8:40. But it was a friday night after all. I will order again.

The Chicken Lababdar (chef’s special) is amazing I have never tasted anything like it, it’s so delicious. Prices are good, delivery true to times stated. Staff very friendly.

Ordered in store, we had rogan josh and chilli chicken masala, we've had or from here before and it has always been good, this time was exceptional however. The food was amazing, fresh, full of flavour, perfect heat and spice. Genuinely one of the best Indian takeaway meals I've ever had.

After sending the wrong mains ,phoned the restaurant who denied i ordered that main agreed to replace the whole order and delivery driver would take the 1st order back . Half hour later delivery driver arrived with only the mains and asked for the 1 dish back that was wrong. I refused as we were expecting the whole order to be replaced . So half our food was cold when finally eaten. The restaurant then phoned asking where the wrong dish was and then denied that i asked for everything to be replaced. I asked why he wanted the wrong order back and he said to feed the dogs , I dont think many dogs could handle chicken tikka more likely to heat up for someone else. Everything i said was denied by the restaurant.

Food was ok. They forgot to deliver the vegetable sauce for the Balti so was very dry. 2 Baltis, 1 side and 1 Naan for £32 seems expensive to me.

All food delicious. Biryani was missing its veg curry, so that was dry compared to the rest, but otherwise everything excellent.

The food is exceptional. The chicken in the curry is so very soft and palatable. There is plenty of sauce for dipping naan bread in. Fantastic.

I order from here often and it’s normally perfect - called them up and they said oh next time we will give you free - erm what about now I want to eat now and I don’t eat madras. I ordered a masala and you didn’t deliver, said they would ring me back and never did. Lost a loyal customer I won’t order from here again. Wrote to just eat who said they won’t refund it as dishes, recipes and tastes vary. Lol I order a masala from here all the time I know what it is like. I ordered a product, did not receive it and neither just eat or balti express did anything to correct this. Do not use this Indian takeaway

Another fabulous curry. The railway lamb is a spicy, depth of flavour curry my favourite. Chicken tikka masala is lovely your chicken tikka starter is succulent and flavoursome. Probably the best takeaway curry near us in Rochester.

I ordered a lamb masala and it was so salty it was inedible. I've never had a curry that was incredibly salty before?? So disappointed as this restaurant seems to perform highly usually. The food is the bin and I won't be ordering again.
