Fish was cooked perfectly, big moist flakes, inside non-greasy batter. The chips are lovely, also not greasy. All round really delicious!

We always get fish and chip from here but the last 2 times its over cooked and no taste

Completely messed up our order .. had to drive back to collect replacement order.

Gone down hill now the honeymoon period is over, rude staff cash only and portion’s changing

Love my fish and chips on a Friday. Always fab food and lovely staff. Also my cats enjoy finishing off the fish and leftover chips make a fantastic frittata!

Don't like dried up chips from the day before

First time used since changed hands and sorry not done so before. Freshly cooked, batter crisp, fish good quality, chips old style and great. Will use again

Not nice at all....thinnest bit of cod I have ever seen..mainly batter and the chips were dry and chewy as if they had been re-fried. Will NOT be using again.

GREAT FISH and excellent staff. You can ring to place your order if it a large order or a special fish as in Plaice or Scampi. Chips are to die for. 6 stars from me if i could. I live 75 yards from the shop and been using it for near on 14yrs! ITS A BRILLIANT FISH AND CHIP SHOP.

A busy chip shop which is always a good sign. Last time I used it was for Friday dinner - course it was. My order was taken quickly with no fuss, it was cash only. The fish was fresh out the fryer, chips were salt and vinegared well, all wrapped and in my hand within 5 mins of ordering. The fish was great and so were the chips; the portion size was generous! There's parking around but when it's busy you need to seize your chance 🙂. Recommended.

My dinner last night was amazing. What a fantastic bunch of people. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly. As a customer I was greeted with a smile and polite conversation. My food was cooked to order. The team were quick to serve, my food was fresh and tastes delicious. If you don't want to wait while they cook your food you can pre order by phone! I will definitely be recommending to all my friends and family, with another visit myself very soon :)

Omg..... If you want fast food then go to McCoys.... the food is fresh, tastes lovely, staff polite and professional and the prices and portion sizes are exceptional. Hard to believe the last reviews were from same place.... I personally have had no issues and I have been a regular for 15 years. Top work guys 👍

I enjoy going into McCoys. Shop is tidy, staff in the shop and working for the Post Office are very friendly. Love the offers towards the end of the day too.

Fantastic food & wonderful staff

Ordered take away food for over 40 people last weekend. We thought the food was excellent quality for the money. Despite being 15 mins or so drive away the food was still lovely and hot when we served it. Also the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely go there again.
