Ordered here 3 months ago and chicken curry was really salty so tonight we rang up and spoke to the owner and he said no we give you free chicken curry and the lady that took the order said they have had 5 complaints just tonight about salty chicken curry well the chicken curry was fine but chicken balls were salty and chips were like they was yesterday’s but warmed up and the special fried rice was really fluffy and didn’t taste right avoid at all costs

Had this food really salty again I ordered a few months ago it was salty so I rung them up and all they done was apologised no refund or anything so avoid at all costs

Food was fantastic and hot and tasteful but The older delivery driver with the moustache was arrogant and quite abrupt

Great tasting food. Every time it has been spot on and the delivery is really quick aswel.

3 or 4 times we have had it and it’s been nice tonight we had it and all we tasted was salt we had one mouthful and threw it away, we are now really dehydrated due to too much salt and rice was really sticky not nice at all avoid it

Decent Chinese restaurant around the corner for a bite.

Wont be ordering again ordered chicken curry about month ago was really salty phoned up and they just said they would give us another curry the manager even said it was salty then we had another one and chips are really dry no taste absolutely disgusting all bad reviews are true

I've been ordering my chinese from Diamond garden for years. Tasty food & value for money. I always order Singapore vermicelli & so tasty wirh variety of meet in it. I can highly recommend them.

Absolutely appalling waited over 1 hour its 10 mintues in car . Had to phone 4 times to chase it up for the gentleman to be rude over the phone never again

Just had 2 meals for one that we shared from diamond Garden. We had chicken in black bean sauce with noodles and Singapore chicken with egg fried rice, a pot of curry sauce and prawn crackers. It was delivered nice and hot and is the best Chinese we had since lockdown began. Very much recommend it 🙂

My local and always really good. Chinese chips in gravy are the best I've tasted. Plenty of flavoursome gravy, don't change this as some restaurants scrimp on the sauce, yours is just right. The only criticism I have is, the menu has never changed over the years and it would be nice to see some different dishes, especially as I'm a veggie. Would love to see some Tofu on your menu please :-)

Not very nice at all. Gloopy sauces with no flavour and a synthetic taste to all the food. My duck noodles had no taste and wife's curry had a solid luminous transparent sauce very off putting.

Not very nice at all, everything tasted synthetic, will not use again.

We hadn’t ordered from here in a long while. We had moved and now have one in walking distance. Food came was nice and hot, good portion sizes my only minus is the curry sauce it has a sort of tang to it. The rest of the food was great

In general the good here is very good However my last ofder BBQ spare ribs was awful. Big chumps of rib full of fat & gristle . 50% unedible. Won't be ordering then again.

Finally found a decent Chinese . Food arrives hot and it’s never longer than 30-45 mins wait time. So quick . Must have the salted ribs and the duck however make sure you ask for them to leave the duck on the bone as they usually take it off and I think it looks like it comes up smaller when it’s off the bone . 10/10

The food is good here but sometimes can be a bit hit or miss (personal preference). That said the food is always hot and enjoyable. I recommend roast duck on fried noodles!

Started using this Chinese a few years ago when under new management food was great but now very poor soggy and greasy like most start off good to get your custome then go down hill rapidly no different than the rest.

Superb food at good prices, prompt delivery. My new go-to Chinese definitely the best I've had around here

A great take away once again, I had Special fried rice, always a delight, Sweet and sour chicken balls (HUGE!!) and spring rolls. Will obviously be back, you cant go wrong!

Under new ownership since the last time I went in there, the quantity of food in containers has been reduced but still an acceptable amount.

They only got the 1 star because you cant put none. Food is disgusting have witnessed him spitting in peoples food !! Doesnt wash his hand after using the toilet!! Food half raw manager rude. Food is absolutely disgusting.

Pedimos una entrega como mi comida para llevar china habitual estaba cerrada ya que era un lunes. Necesitaba un gran pedido para 17 personas nunca usamos antes me dieron un 10% de descuento. El precio era bueno y la comida, así que gracias. Se utiliza de nuevo.

Came on Friday and new guy behind the counter, very professional helped with my fussy needs. Free prawn crackers as my order was over £40 and a free bottle of Coke, cant go wrong!

This is my first takeaway review and I felt that it deserved it. Have tried quite a few Chinese takeaways in the Strood/Rochester area over the years which have been good but not great until we had a leaflet through for Diamond Garden, so we gave it a try & will definitely be using this takeaway for our Chinese feasts from now on. Had four takeaways now from them & all have been delivered very quickly & hot, as some from others can be delivered lukewarm. Tried quite a few different dishes now & by far the best are the meals for one of chicken in black bean sauce & also the crispy chilli fried beef which was very crispy & tasty as opposed to some we had from others that have been really chewy & sweet. Me, my husband & daughter all agree its the best in Strood. Well done Diamond Garden keep up with your standards & you will keep the customers rolling in.

Decided to try this chinese after all the great reviews. Well I was very impressed with food,hot and tasty. They do not deliver to our area so I collected! The only negative is the location, a complete nightmare to park and the roads are choker block

New staff members taking orders are making the take away an even nicer place to visit. Food is just getting better I recommend 18A smoked chicken always nice!

Myself & my partner ordered our food at 7.03pm & was told it would be with us in 45 mins. At 8.30 we phones up to chase where our order was to be told the delivery driver was on her way. We explained tht if we knew it was going to be closer to 2 hours before receiving our food we would of gone elsewhere. They did offer a discount on the food of £7 off. A further 20 mins later the delivery lady is at my door. No apology but hey ho. I then say, as we have waited 2 hours, the shop have agreed we only give u £15. To that, she took the bag of food back out my hand & went no Iv not been told that sorry and walked off bk to her car!!! Surely any normal person would just call the shop to check I wasn't pulling a fast one. So basically 2 hours later after ordering & we then ended up going McDonald's. They literally couldn't organise a kids party. Avoid if u ask me!!

Fantastic value and the food is always delivered hot & fresh plus delivery staff are always friendly.

A lovely new member of staff behind the counter on a Friday night makes the visit worthwhile! She is friendly, willing and able to help and makes the experience first class. Once again the food is a delight and the portion sizes are so big the trays barely shut, top class grub

I've ordered from Diamond Garden several times, and each time has been great. I usually order either the ribs, hot and sour soup, or the steamed dumplings for starters, and follow it up with a special fried rice/noodles with either a roast duck/pork, or a sweet and sour dish.The food arrives promptly, and is always a huge portion. It's not too greasy, or 'fake' tasting. I have never had a bad meal from this place.

Large portion to much for 2 people very nice, hot we throughly enjoyed the meal and we would recommend to other members of my family

Lovely experience as always, nice hot food, in a giant dish, a meal for one could have easily feed three people. I will be back, not for just the food, or the food, but for the great experience!

Top quality food, friendly staff and good delivery service. Large portions, a massive menu to choose from and they are open everyday except Tuesday. Always served with a smile and will even let you make your own dish if he can.

I use this takeaway quite often and have not been disappointed with the food or the service.Price is slightly high but it's worth it.

What can you say other than 10 out of 10! Nice staff, nice food and above all a bargain with large containers and a huge menu to choose from. Delivery is done with a smile and free prawn crackers when you collect!

A great take away with lots to offer. The new owners have really turned the business around with the place looking cleaner and the food tasting better than ever before. Delivery is always served with a smile from Nicky and her speedy service, and the new menu is top notch. Accept no substitutes, come here for the best!

New owners have made this place unbelievable! Food is lush, staff are friendly and the new menu is superb. They have cleaned the place from top to bottom and it shows, well done on the hard work, we will be back.

So we say bye bye to the Sues and their parents and welcome the new owners. Early days yet, but some things have changed for the better. The dishes I had were hot, tasty and well worth a nibble on. First impressions are good, lets hope the change is as good as a rest!

Good food huge portions plenty of choice and very reasonable prices what more could you ask. Oh yes and very prompt delivery. Will definitely be using them again.

The worst food I have ever had. Under cooked rice very salty sauce, burnt chicken balls. Left a dirty oil taste in my mouth. Tastes worse than a microwave meal..I will never go back again.

This is the best Chinese takeaway in strood, the food is always good, and it comes in containers larger than elsewhere. It is also cheaper then the other takeaways. No brainier really!!

In there on Monday night as worked late and needed a quick tasty dinner. Always served with a smile and happy to change a dish around if you a fussy bugger like me, A Class take away!

Very friendly staff (Sue & Sue) that always have service with a smile. Delivery available Wednesday to Monday (Tuesday closed).All dishes in large containers so good value. Large menu and lots of variety.I recommend the crispy duck, all in one meals or just as good is the Chicken Curry!Getting hungry so may have to pop in there!YUMMY!
