A must visit when in yalding, the most delicious sandwiches freshly prepared for you, and divine brownies too. Customer service is excellent, friendly and welcoming. A real gem.

Lovely pub lunch in this country pub. Friendly and quick service. We both had lasagne which was awesome. Reasonable prices. Will be back.

This is a great Indian lots of choice and sensibly priced. No frills decor you could argue it even needs decorating but definitely don't let that put you off it's clean and tidy. We have been more times than I can remember. Always a friendly atmosphere a few jokes and occasional pranks thrown in from polite staff. Well cooked authentic Indian cuisine. No nonsense tasty currys !

Me, my mother in law and my daughter had an absolutely amazing Carvery at The Hop Pole today. A huge portion of lovely food for a great price! We followed up lunch with a few drinks in the beer garden where my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the bouncy castle that they have at the top of the garden. Despite the issues with a burst water main early this morning meaning no running water in Yalding, Nettlestead & surrounding areas, the staff were so efficient with ensuring the pub had plenty of bottled water. And the Carvery was still one of the best I’ve ever had. Everyone was so welcoming and the pub has an amazing atmosphere to it. Would definitely recommend to family & friends! In fact we’ve booked in another table for next Sunday’s Carvery! Thank you to the entire team at The Hop Pole😊

Lovely ambience, nice food and Eleanor was a fantastic waitress we were really impressed with how lovely she was. As well as Rhianna they made our time there. Would go again.

An absolute gem ! Ignore the couple of negative completely unfair and quite frankly ridiculous statements I have seen below. This place is an absolute treasure ! I have discovered it during lock-down, and have been coming back pretty much every week since. Delightful, home cooking at its best ! The owners are passionate about what they do, you can order in advance if you want (Hannah always goes above and beyond to do new creations upon request), Nigel is passionate about his coffee. This place is a dream come true. Best home-made cooking around by a country mile (vast choice: pies of all sorts, cinnamon buns, cakes, brownies even little salads, ice cream in the Summer etc) ... A delightful place, with charming business owners and lovely staff! Highly recommended !

We have lived locally for a few years and we have had a take away meal from Zarda Cottage before, but never eaten in house. We did this Saturday and were very impressed with the service and the quality of the meal
