A must visit when in yalding, the most delicious sandwiches freshly prepared for you, and divine brownies too. Customer service is excellent, friendly and welcoming. A real gem.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch, beautiful food, plenty on the plate, very nice staff nothing too much trouble, well recommend, we'll be going back.

Fantastic service and great food and we will absolutely be back again. The restaurant has had consistently good food since it opened in 2006 and we are frequent visitors through the busy periods and the quieter periods. If there has been any issue, the manager or Abdul (our favourite waiter) has always resolved our queries.

Me, my mother in law and my daughter had an absolutely amazing Carvery at The Hop Pole today. A huge portion of lovely food for a great price! We followed up lunch with a few drinks in the beer garden where my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the bouncy castle that they have at the top of the garden. Despite the issues with a burst water main early this morning meaning no running water in Yalding, Nettlestead & surrounding areas, the staff were so efficient with ensuring the pub had plenty of bottled water. And the Carvery was still one of the best I’ve ever had. Everyone was so welcoming and the pub has an amazing atmosphere to it. Would definitely recommend to family & friends! In fact we’ve booked in another table for next Sunday’s Carvery! Thank you to the entire team at The Hop Pole😊

What a great dining experience that captured the essence of winter in the Kent countryside. The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and drink they serve. The food was delicious, tender and full of flavour, embodying the essence of great British comfort food. A memorable setting and exceptional food, making it a must-visit destination.

We have lived locally for a few years and we have had a take away meal from Zarda Cottage before, but never eaten in house. We did this Saturday and were very impressed with the service and the quality of the meal
