We had a lovely Baby Shower at The Old Post Office Coffee House Marden. Delicious afternoon tea and great, helpful team who was very happy to accommodate all of our needs. Thank you again! All the best! Jana

popped in as this is local, we live in Staplehurst. In future we will drive out somewhere else. Poor choice for lunch, so we opted for a coronation chicken jacket potato twice. This was presented exactly that, no side salad even though the menu states extra salad can be purchased, misleading advertising. When pulled the young waiter made a face and said 'we never serve salad with this'. Odd? At £6.50 just for a small jacket with coronation chicken chucked over it, it is quite expensive. Also, we had to go back down the stairs and up again to our seat to order and pay, I balanced 2 glass bottles and glasses and table number in my hands, no help or tray offered. Whilst waiting for the food, I noticed how dirty the floor was, remember we were upstairs, so no excuse of leaves blowing through. There was crisps, crusts and mud and we were there before midday I am sure all of that had not been from the same morning, and if it was surely whoever cleared the sticky tables should have swept this up. We will not be returning, but will go opposite to the Unicorn Pub the carvery is brilliant we highly recommend.

I absolutely love The Old Post Office Coffee Shop, and am a fairly frequent customer as the coffee, food and cakes are exceptionally delicious (as a coeliac there is also plenty of choice for lunch, including choice of sweet treats if I am doing a quick coffee stop). They also have a brilliant selection of wines/beers too - and my children love the milkshakes. The owners and staff are all super friendly and the whole vibe from available choices to the decor is just spot on.

This is a nice friendly coffee shop in a small village. We stopped by for a coffee and a cake with our two dogs. These are allowed in the cafe on the ground floor, so if you want to be dog free pop upstairs. We both had a lovely hot cappuccino and probably the best carrot cake I have tasted. Lovely friendly staff who made a fuss of our dogs. Well worth a visit.

Been here a few times and always enjoy the coffee and cakes on offer. The best place south of Maidstone for relaxing refreshments. Friendly service and in a pretty village too. Perfect

We had not been here before but after some friends, who have been many times, recommended it we decided to give it a go. We called in for a cup of coffee and were greeted by friendly staff who were very happy to pass the time of the day when they were not busy. The coffee was very good and reasonably priced and the cakes, which we did not try, looked delicious. There was plenty of seating both inside (on two floors) and outside. There was also an interesting mural of the village in days gone by and an interesting momento of the building's former use. Dogs are allowed on the ground floor. We will be back.

On my way to the Marden Russets Hockey Club, I discovered this great coffee place. It was interesting sitting outside: plenty of people wandering by, many with a 'Good morning' to me. The occasional lorry or tractor... Delicious food and coffee. Friendly service. I'll be back !

Only 1 bottle of each sauce per upstairs of cafe. The waitress promptly came up and took the sauce away from us mid-meal before giving it to another table. The hash browns were cold, hard and dry. The sausage and beans were also hard. Would not recommend.

Sometimes the quality of the food is very very good, but sometimes you’re left with wanting more in terms of filling. The coffee quality is average, prices are higher than London prices… but at least there is a coffee shop here. The service itself can differ as well. Sometimes great, sometimes chatty staff (amongst themselves), and sometimes just generally very very slow But still glad this shop has survived the pandemic

I went to the fox and goose for a few drinks and was served by the lovely grace, she gave me an exceptional service when I pop in for a few drinks. She was very attentive and informed me about various upcoming events in the pub. I felt very welcomed will definitely be back again.

Centrally located in town centre. Nice server, helpful too when ingredients queried. Service quite slow but the fayre is fresh and beautifully presented. Prices are quite steep imho.

Great little pub for ladies mid week get together. We had a blast. And the burgers were scrumptious. They even had amazing gluten free option for me. And couple of drinks while we chat aways of course.

Popped in for a coffee. After a while was abruptly asked how much longer I would be. I replied about 5-10 mins and received a torrent of abuse including: “I had been there since 9am (3 hours)” – I can make a coffee last but not that long. “I had been asked repeatedly if I wanted anything else” – I was asked once about 10 mins after I got there and I didn’t. But thank you for asking. “this is a Bistro not a coffee shop” – they sell coffee. Describing Leah’s as a bistro is a bit of a stretch. “this is not a library” – that was weird. I complained about the confrontational and abusive way I was spoken to, and the response was “I don’t give a sh*t”. When I asked for an apology the man (presumably the owner) became aggressive and squared up to me! He then repeated “I don’t give a sh*t” as he walked off. Incredulous. Thank you to the member of staff who apologised as I was paying.
