Nice place for a rideout for breakfast.

It was a really nice place and the play area is perfect for kids who want to have fun. The food and service was extravagante and it was just a really nice place.

Had a lovely BLT and a Latte, nice surroundings, right on the river Medway, gets very busy in the summer though. Great outdoor spaces if you have kids or a dog, or both. Keep your wits about you or make sure they can both swim 😉

balding is one of the nicest places in Kent it has the river medway going through the middle where you can kayak and fish there is teapot island which is great for tea coffee and cakes and more if you would like to eat a meal feel free to go to the pub and have a pint and a nice hot meal there as well you just have to go over the bridge and in town can have a nice curry we have been to them all

Nice all day breakfast and great service. Can get very noisy with cycling groups but OK and if weather nice, sit outside. Parking can be problematic on a nice day.

This is all about location. And if you like teapots! It's a "proper cafe", in terms of teas, (non-fancy) coffee and breakfasts. Lovely location overlooking the river and ideal for walkers and cyclists to use as a pitstop.

This is a really friendly place to visit. The food at the café was freshly cooked, even though there was a wide choice. The highlight was the visit to their exhibition of over 8,000 teapots of every shape and design possible. There is a small charge, but it is was very much worth it for the time and entertainment we had. They have a small shop for the dedicated tea pot collector with some very reasonably priced seconds just outside the door, where we picked up a few bargain souvenirs. There is a huge teapot outside positioned for photo opportunities and the setting by the river at Yalding is beautiful. All credit to the dedication of the people who run this venue. Try to spot the teapot car outside

Wonderful place with over 8000 teapots. Good access and reasonably priced meals. Good children's play area. Excellent service. Located on the Medway near a marina

We arrived here at 2.40 in the afternoon, we were hungry after a long walk. We were looking at a menu, when a scruffy team member with a gnome like appearance came up to us and informed us that we couldn’t eat as the kitchen closes at 3pm. This was obviously in 20 mins from the current time. Quite shocked by the rudeness of the team member we chose just to leave. Since leaving I have found out the cafe is open until 4pm. So there was plenty of time to cook the snack like food they serve and for us to eat it. Needless to say we will not be going back. It’s quite simply in this horrible time we seem to be in where food establishments simply can not be bothered, just don’t bother giving them your money.

Wanted to visit the tea pot museum for ages, definitely worth a visit, over 8000 Tea pots and all so different and colourful, covering all sorts, difficult to describe so definitely worth a visit, you don't have to like teapots, china or tea to enjoy. Also had food there which was very nice, friendly and quick service.

An enormous collection of lovely, weird, funny and extraordenary teapots. Restaurant is good too, I can recommend the soup

We visited here and saw the museum which was large and outstanding, lots of very interesting tea pots. Despite being short staffed they were friendly and we ended up eating there. Nice place, nice atmos. Has a shop which was selling trinkets and teapots which was nice. Also very kind to my son who has too many allergies to eat and they were kind enough to let him eat his food we brought as we were buying the rest of our food there.

Very poor. Restaurant was bad nothing on the menu. Over heard a lady ask for something and the male waiter replied with. Can’t be bothered doing it as he walk out to serve food. The tea pots themselves for fantastic to see. Very run down place. Owner is apparently selling and you can see his heart is no longer in it..

After a long coach journey we had a super time at Teapot Island. Beautiful area and staff were brilliant as was food 😊

Very busy on Bank holidays. Had to wait a bit for the food but we were informed by staff of this. Excellent food and service considering it was the busiest time around lunch. Such a popular place and I can see why!

Cafe looks "tired", Waiting staff excellent but mature chap taking the orders was very grumpy & unhelpful - no offer to carry my tea tray even though i'm a walking aid user. Food quite good but neither omlettes or crepes available, although on menu - " as they are too busy" Outside seating area very pleasant, overlooking the river & water race.

Smashing day really enjoyed my visit hope this remains open and full of teapots x

Friendly Staff and a unique experience. Extensive and very imaginative Museum of Tea Pots that will delight most.Enjoyed the Cafeteria to. Once you've been there it should leave lasting and very pleasant memories.

Lovely afternoon spent at Teapot island. The high tea we had was lovely, a great selection of sandwiches and yummy scones! The service for our coach load was excellent with everyone very friendly and welcoming. The Teapot collection was amazing!!! Never have I seen so many and such a variety!!! Fantastic! 😃 Well worth a visit. 🤗

Stopped for breakfast in the lovely cafe, very busy, but the food and portions were good. We then went into the museum over 8000 teapots 🫖 in all shapes and sizes, very interesting, we managed to park on the road outside.

Lovely location. Male staff was a bit grumpy, but waitress pleasant enough. Full breakfast came reasonably quickly and tasted good. Price bordering on high. Nice place for families lunch but not sure he liked Motorcyclists.

Bit of lunch here after a morning paddleboarding and canoeing on the Medway. Okay, so 2 lots of ham, egg and chips at £12.95 each, and 2 lots of jacket potato with Chili at £8.95 each. The food was alright, but we thought it was overpriced. The ham appeared to be pre-sliced supermarket produce, and the chili was in a pot on the side, quite small and fairly bland. With drinks, the bill was nearly £60.

We trekked to yalding and came across Teapot island. We only purchased a quick drink and used the bathroom facilities but what a cute little place. We were a little confused at the entrance as it stated an entrance price however this is for the little teapot museum. I can't say much more as we didn't stay but definitely well worth a visit by the looks of things.

Took 1 hour to put out food that was mediocre at best for far too much money.

I had to wait 30mins for sausage sandwich and cheesy chips nit good enough.doesnt take that long

Have had 3 recent visits. Two of them for coffee and cake which was fine and one for breakfast. Breakfast visit took nearly an hour for food as they were busy but no indication given how long when i ordered which was a bit naughty. watched several people who arived shortly before me ask when their food would be ready.

We only stopped for an ice cream which was lovely.

This is the kind of place that everyone goes to in every part of the UK when on hols (usually by the seaside) as such, its incredibly familiar and comfortable as a venue. It's not fancy but it's not meant to be. It's on the river and has a garden to sit in. Loved it

The island its self lovely good scenery boats and the wider its self, cafe ok if you want that sort of thing needs a lot more GF options as the wife could not eat so we didn't,

Lovely visit to teapot Island today. We had a late breakfast, well cooked. We didn't wait too long even though they were quite busy, but with the lovely views of the river it was not a problem. The Teapot museum looked interesting but we didn't have time to visit on this occasion but will return.

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Initially I wasn’t too interested in the teapots as it was a visit with family. I came out with a change opinion and really enjoyed myself. Would recommend this to absolutely anyone.

Overall is the Teapot exhibition is very good experience, the cafe is ok but book ahead of you are in a large group. Unfortunately the day we went they had issue with milk delivery so could not have much of the options we wanted on the menu.

Lovely place for Teapots and if kids love painting. It has a wonderful collection of around 8,450 types of teapots spanning over a century in collection. They do offer dinning services and staff are very friendly and accommodating.

We went here to walk the dog and ended up having a lovely breakfast. Dogs are allowed in the conservatory area on a lead. We enjoyed the food, found the staff very friendly and welcoming and the toilets were spotless. A nice stop on a murky Sunday.

Cycle there from Hays. The food,service was great . I would go back there. Staffs are friendly.

Friendly. Loved my tuna Mao sandwiches hubby had breakfast which he enjoyed. Tea pot shop is fantastic. Toilets clean and smell nice. You can also sit outside and walk along the river. They also support The Air Ambulance

What a fantastic little place. We had breakfast here and it was lovely, we managed to sit outside. Afterwards we took a walk through the teapot museum which I have to say is amazing, never had I imagined there could be so many different types of teapot.

Teapot island is a great place to go for a day out which was fun to have a cream tea with scones with jam and clotted cream which was nice and messy. Then we sat inside the cafe to look at all of the teapots while dad got some bread pudding to take home with us and went for a walk to see the motor homes which looks pretty. After we walked past the river with canals on that people live in and took a couple of pictures of the boathouse restaurant which looked pretty with the fairy lights on.

It a very impressive collection, congratulations to owner,this is a life style,you can not reach to collect so many items if you are not truly dedicated.

Went for breakfast with my son and daughter in law after discovering teapot island a few weeks ago after a walking the river medway when we originally popped in for a drink. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in ages and being a biker I get to try loads! Lol Great food and friendly service in a great surrounding and can't wait to return soon! Top marks teapot island!

A nice place to visit .. but you need to either park in a field next door at £3.. or a long walk if you park on the road for free. Motorcycles can use a separate narrow bridge and park very near.. so biker friendly venue!

Went there on a coach trip for a cream tea which was lovely just scones jam & cream & butter which I asked for. Lots of teapots to look at then sat outside but unfortunately it started to rain then back on the coach .

Run down and lacks magic that the title of ‘Teapot Island’ suggests. Really disappointing. The owner would rather shout for his staff to come serve people that get up and serve himself. Very odd atmosphere. The teapot exhibition was quirky and the collection was vast, hence the two stars not one. The tea was cheap and tasted like dishwater, not what you would expect from a ‘Teapot island’.

Visited while we was in the area camping, awful place. No full English breakfasts being cooked despite advertising it on a notice board. Food order took an hour to come out! Only ordered 2 bacon sarnies and 2 children's meals, was only given one rasher of bacon in our sandwiches also, for the price you pay for the food, you'd expect more. You have to pay to go into the teapot expedition which we was unaware of, glad we didn't pay to go in there, as when we was waiting for our food order, we witnessed a waitress lock the door to the expedition while customers were in there, and she walked off to continue serving! The people locked inside started banging at the doors and windows to be let out!!! And this continued... Paying customers would be let in, door was locked behind them, then would be let out as and when, absolutely bizarre! Staff were miserable and stressed, even overheard the man that served us on a phone call saying he won't be back there!

We spent a nice afternoon there a bite to eat and a walk 🚶‍♂️ along the canal foot path in the sunshine 🌞

Brillant home made food. Good walking area to take a relaxing walk along the canal. Plus play park for children. And pinic area .
