We came here for dinner and drinks with family. We are visiting from Canada do it was lovely to go to a very traditional pub. The food was excellent as was the service. We all had something different and it was all very well prepared. The local beers were very nice. We certainly recommend this delightful pub and will be back on our next trip to the UK.

A veggie and a vegan had lunch, open sandwiche with cauliflowet and chick pea bajis, absolutely delicious and good size portion. Other food that was being brought out looked equally as good. Being mid week it was quiet, so service ok but i can imagine if it was busy, it would be a long wait. Could do with another veggie/ vegan option on menu, main courses, as this is limited Woman serving, i believe is manager not friendly, didn't smile back when i smiled at her, no idea why she dies the job as clearly doesn't do people!

Trevlig miljö i typisk engelsk landsbygdsstil. Väldigt trevlig personal och riktigt god och vällagad mat.

As a member this golf club thay cannot do enough to make my visits a joy. They are friendly and welcoming to me and my guests. The breakfast was excellent value and perfect. Ignore any poor reviews and make this a place to visit.

5 of us went for a birthday celebration, my comments: The Ranmore - a new beer to me, it was very good and well kept. Four of us had the Spicy Pumpkin soup - all of us agreed far too spicy. One main veggie option mushroom risotto - My wife couldnt eat it, gave it to me and neither could I as mushrooms hard and unusual flavour, lots of it though! I had the roast lamb which I enjoyed, meat was good although I didn't need the yorkshire pud with it, not what would be expected with lamb and considered a rather cheap filler. The cauli cheese sauce was not the best either. Other orders were roast beef and a couple of camembert's, all of which were enjoyed. However, the website states that over 6 guests then a 10% service charge automatically added. Personally I really dont like this practice especially as there was only 5 of us. Call me old fashioned but my theory is give me an all inclusive clear headline price, pay the staff well and if I'm happy I'll leave a tip! This service charge practice is underhand as not clear, a negative experience and seems to be catching on. It's not RyanAir! In the case of the young staff at the Greets - they were all excellent and I would have happily paid a good tip so why coerced to do so? (I appreciate others may not). The atmosphere was very good, a busy pub with a good clientel. Overall, better than average but a generous very good!

We have often passed this attractive looking pub but this time decided to stop for a late lunch. We were warmly greeted and shown a nice table by a window. The decor is very stylish, creating a good atmosphere. Our drinks order was taken and delivered promptly, as was our meal order. M had beef and ale pie and I had grilled chicken served with pappardelle and a creamy sauce. I love pasta and this was a delicious dish. M declared the pie to be first rate. We were going to be good and resist pudding but succumbed to a mini dessert with coffee - caramelised profiteroles. A perfect round off to an excellent meal. We will be back.
